I have a little question. Should I log in my weight today?

When I woke up today I realized I had started my period. When I got on the scale it said I had gained about 2 lbs. Should I wait a few days until the PMS goes away to reweigh myself? Or log it as is?

I slept in this morning and now am enjoying coffee. First I read a motivational article by Nicole Nichols where she lists 100 reasons to do workouts. It motivated me so when I'm fully awake I'm ready to do a workout. I read somewhere that drinking water first thing after waking up gets your metabolism going. I have a full cup of water while my coffee is brewing.

A new year is right around the corner and I feel perked up from Christmas and ready to go. So far the holiday season...Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year...has given me a feeling of strength and ambition to meet my goals. I would so love to have a smaller waistline. I've lost pounds and inches during last Autumn. My college classes in art and wellness have really done me a lot of good. When I reset my goals on Christmas Eve I found this team and I feel at home here already with coffee drinkers and teachers and everyone else who is trying their best to become what they envision for themselves. We can do it...I know we can!

I'm Brit. I'm a 40+ year old homeschooling mom who also works full time. I have been struggling to get back on track with healthy habits, as dh and I are both overweight. My downfalls with diet right now are the junk food machines at work, and gas station foods.

Also, with working full time and homeschooling, I don't have a lot of spare time, so it's hard to get into an exercise routine, especially if something goes wrong.

Bonnie, if you don't mind, I am going to post a couple of challenges myself.

Hello Folks, this team needs some energy and a boost. If you donít mind, I would like to try my hand at introducing a few goals and challenges to make it more fun for us all.

Iíve just taken over leadership of the team and will announce a few new challenges in the next few days.

In the mean time, I hope we can start some conversation and get to know each other.

Iím Bonnie. Iím a 41 year old teacher, wife, and mom to a 6 year old boy. Iím also Canadian, so Iíve just finished Thanksgiving this past weekend, so I need to buckle down and get my glam on for the holiday season with enough time to achieve my goals.

I like to swim and do kettlebells, and I am learning ballroom dancing.

I hope to hear from you as we all get to know each other a bit and share our challenges.
