Dean Anderson's blogs are calming and motivational no matter their date in time. Dean makes me feel like I can be in control of my eating and exercising most of the time;that my weakness are part of the whole-of-me and won't rule me.

He said he remembers the Jack LaLanne syndicated exercise show. That Jack LaLanne would say, "Exercise is king; nutrition is queen. Put 'em together and you've got a kingdom!"

"Have You Found Your Inner

One of the goals of making a “lifestyle change” (as opposed to going on a diet) is to develop a healthy relationship with food and eating that feels normal, comfortable, usually enjoyable, and relatively easy to maintain over time."

In this blog he wonders if the goad to lose weight caused by prejudices against obesity is a good or harmful incentive to get fit.

"Does the Prejudice against Obesity Motivate You to Lose Weight?"
It’s no secret that being obese can make you the target of some very negative and stigmatizing attitudes. Many people have been subjected to public ridicule and cruel remarks, lost jobs or promotions, and even been blamed for large-scale social problems like climate change and rising health care costs—all because of their weight."

In one of his blogs, Dean Anderson wrote, "One of the goals of making a “lifestyle change” (as opposed to going on a diet) is to develop a healthy relationship with food and eating that feels normal, comfortable, usually enjoyable, and relatively easy to maintain over time."

His tips on how to change my habits has helped me to visualize myself after I have changed my habits.
