Once a month I travel with my husband to a location 3 hours away from home. Everytime I'd travel its like all my discipline, self control, and future health goals just blew right out the car window. I'd return home feeling discouraged and helpless. BUT this weekend was DIFFERENT!

Even traveling on Friday, I tracked my eating on the car ride. When my husband stopped and got a hot dog and my daughter bought a muffin, I didn't eat anything because I wasn't hungry.(Victory) Then later on the trip, I ate some pistachios and an apple. (Victory) On Saturday morning I put on my sneakers and went for a walk for 25 minutes. (VICTORY) It's the first time I've ever gone for a walk in this location. The neighborhood is actually very beautiful! And today (Saturday) we ate at a Mexican Restaurant and their chips are USUALLY my undoing....but not today. I asked for an extra plate and I counted out 20 chips and those were all the chips I ate! (ANOTHER VICTORY!) It's now 8:30pm and I'm DONE eating. I've tracked all my calories and stayed within my healthy range AND I exercised today too!

I'm heading into a great Mother's Day! By the way, Happy Mother's Day to all my fellow Sparker Moms! :D
