Way to go. It's hard to do and I know it.

My 'no' time is usually right when I get home from work. I'm usually starving by then and still have to make dinner yet. So, the old me, would open the fridge and start snacking on anything edible. The new me, says 'no' and starts to make that dinner instead.

Twice today I told myself "No!" and I listened. I love it when I listen. :) In the afternoon I had to pick up a few groceries and I hadn't eaten lunch yet. As I was putting the groceries in the trunk, I considered bringing a bag of chips into the car with me. Out loud in the parking lot in a soft yet firm tone I told myself "No" and I obeyed. I was only a few minutes from home and I was going to be preparing a nice meal for my family.

This evening I was feeling a higher level of stress than usual. My daughter is going on a trip for 2 weeks and she leaves tomorrow. I found myself opening the fridge and the freezer. I asked myself "Are you hungry?" and I was not, so I once again told myself "No." and I listened.

As of 10:30 pm I have eaten within my healthy calorie range and exercised today too. emoticon
