I am glad to hear Stormy is not suffering and people are doing well too.

Wonderful news! PTL!!

My kitty Stormy who has lymphoma had a pretty good week. A couple days he didn’t eat much but now his appetite has picked up again. We are so grateful that we still have him and that he doesn’t appear to be suffering.
He was running around and playing like a kitten a few minutes ago.

I hope Stormy feels better! This is my third night without using ice as I am sleeping. Last time I took an opioid is at 9 o’clock last night and haven’t taken one yet today… Only a Robaxin a muscle relaxer. Hope you are doing well!

I find it so hard not to overdue in the hours I may feel pretty good. Then I pay for it for the next few days.
My kitty Stormy is going back to vet office today for another steroid shot and maybe more subq. fluids. Hope it perks him up. He’s not suffering with his lymphoma yet so I feel like I should.

Thank you, and I totally agree about the ups and downs, and friends have told me to take it easy and not overdo and I am doing just that. Hugs!

I'm happy that your arrival home has gone well. I'll continue to pray that your recovery progresses well. Don't be surprised if there are some ups and downs. In the end it'll all be good!. :-)

Wow...I slept through the night without needing ICE or even disturbing my husband!! I took a pain pill at 8:30 last night; I woke up around 2 o’clock turned over on my side and went back to sleep and we both got up at 5:30 and that’s when I took a pain pill! Very excited that I will only need two today instead of one every four hours while I was in the hospital and praising God in all, and very thankful for all of your prayers! Love and hugs to all of you!

I have my assessment today. I’m not going home Thursday. They don’t feel I’m comfortable yet with steps! One day at a time! Trusting in Jesus!

I appreciate those prayers! I May be going home from rehab Thursday but I’ll have any valuation tomorrow to see. It’s a very slow recovery!

I am so sorry to hear that, Karen. It's hard when our pets get sick. I will pray for you two.

I need prayers for my kitty. Stormy is near 15 years old. He is recently diagnosed with Lymphoma- in his chest with lymph node involvement. I am so sad. He's been loosing weight and has a lump on the back of his left hind leg. I never imagined it could be cancer. The "mass" in his chest is big and is pressing up on his trachea (windpipe). He has no trouble breathing now, but the vet says that is what will happen at the end. I've been crying everyday, I'm so heart broken.
I bought some wet food (grain free) and he's been lapping it up like crazy, even wakes me up during the night to fill his bowl- so I do. I'd do anything to make him happy. So, right now he is eating and drinking well and using the litter box. But he does seem to sleep more.
The vet had given him a steroid shot to help shrink the mass, so maybe that's helped

In rehab with quite a bit of pain at the incision site and tired and feeling weak. I have to be patient.

Several of my loved ones who have had back surgery hit an emotional wall around 1 week post surgery. Reality kind of hits after those first few days of newness and hopeful challenge. As you say, this too shall pass. Keep reminding yourself of that and keep your hopes set on the final outcome. I've got you on my prayer list for the duration!

Surgery went well! Now I have to be patient as I am in pain at the incision site and difficulty getting out of bed but with time this too shall pass! Thank you for your prayers!
