I'm thankful that I have been staying the course this summer. My long term goal is committing to a healthy clean lifestyle. This of course includes my eating and workouts.

I love eating clean and my body rebels when I don't. Eating this way also gives me the energy and will to workout hard. I avoid sugar & flour, fast food and of course, non-nutritional foods and I'm learning to love to snack clean.

I tweaked my workouts and I'm enjoying them again. I have increased my running & walking pace and decreased my distance. This morning I raised my incline to 10.0 and my speed to 3.5. Good calorie burning workout. I had my physical this week and it was excellent, including the weight loss.

"And if you run, you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far...There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership to get. You just run."

I'm afraid I may have lost sight of my long term goals somewhat, in favor of shorter term ones. My long term goal being to lose 45 more pounds before having another child. My eating habits have been off track for some time now. I've been running lots and focusing on training for a couple of half marathons coming up. The lazy part of my brain says "You're running so much. You can eat whatever." Well, my pace plateau of 15:00 miles keeps reminding me that is not true. I need to eat BETTER to fuel my runs as well as giving myself an opportunity to lose weight so I can be more comfortable getting pregnant again.

I'm moving towards my goals better than I imagined. I'm still in shock every morning when I get ready for work and find that I cannot wear most of my clothes b/c they are too big. Thankfully I held on to a few smaller pieces that I just couldn't bear to part with. They've been my staples until I go shopping.

As for this week, I've accomplished a lot with balancing my life. It's always hard for me to adjust to getting back into the swing of things when the school year starts up. Thankfully, I have planned my meals, kept to my training, and had other people continue to hold me accountable. I don't think I would be nearly as successful without them!

My bigger picture revolves around my half marathon. I don't think I could lose sight of that goal with everyone around me being such awesome supporters!

Every day is *the day.* Dream it. Live it. Love it...with all your heart & soul.

This week I have been focus on my weekly exercise minutes and calories burned. This summer my schedule has been off due to stop having or being able to go to the fitness classes on campus and of course my foot injury. I have had to change my routine up. I can only do so much with walking and running. But I am focused and back on track with burning those calories! And I'm excited about! This is truly a lifestyle change for me! Woohoo!
