I like to weight myself just to see the fluctuations in my body throughout the month.. But I do take measurements monthly and I was using the MM too (as Kelli has) but I slacked the last couple months as training got more time consuming. I need to pick that back up. I also have goal pants.....I fit into an old fave pair of blue jeans about a month and a half ago. I have a new (old) pair that is hanging on my door as motivation. I'm not too far off from fitting into them. :)

I take my measurements once a month and I also pay attention to how my clothes fit. I have noticed that since I am doing more resistance training fo rhte upper body my arms are firming up.

I can tell by my clothes and how i feel, I feel much lighter then i use to when i started. I love the light weight feeling compare to the heavy weight feeling. When i'm during my cardio my breathing is much better then it use to be. emoticon Loving it emoticon

Yes, I do keep track of my body measurements as well. The scale doesn't move me, but it is encouraging when it moves down! I also enjoy wearing clothes that I could not fit previously due to weight gain. I went shopping in my sister's garage of clothes that I had stored away for when I could loose the weight. Love it! It was Christmas in Sept!

I have been using my clothes, micoach, pedometer and measurements on treadmill to gauge my progress. I will begin using the scale on Oct. 1 as I begin a personal 15 lb. challenge to lose by the end of the year.

Rivekkah, you are looking good. I love looking at all of your new pictures.

Each month I weight and measure myself, plus it's always good to try on something that was formerly tight but begin to fit better.

My relationship with the scale is inconsistent at best. I generally rely on my clothes as a form of measurement. For running, I do Magic Miles to test my pace improvements. I do them sporadically now, but I need to do them once a month.

I'm trying to focus more on the fit of my clothes than the scale. I've started some new workouts that really focus on strength and it shows I'm gaining weight, but I think it's from fluid retention in my muscles.

Many people rely on the scale for signs of progress. However, there are many other ways to recognize improvements. How many of you use body measurements, strength tests, or speed tests (running) to see what gains you have made? How often? And if there is another method that you use, please share!
