I've already started my Christmas shopping. I find it easier financially to spread out purchases throughout the fall up until Christmas.

Every day is *the day.* Dream it. Live it. Love it...with all your heart & soul.

I normally start shopping as it gets closer to that time. I do love Christmas! My husband and I normally would do the Christmas Play with my two sons to remind them the real meaning of Christmas. Then, my sister and I take turns having Christmas dinner at our house. This year is my year! Last year I did Thanksgiving. We switch every year. And all the family will join us on Christmas and exchange gifts. It's normally my sister and I that would have all the gifts for everyone. :) Love my family!

What I treasure most in life is being able to dream. During my most difficult moments and complex situations I have been able to dream of a more beautiful future. ..Rigoberta Menchu Tum

Christmas is very special to me. It's my birthday!!! It's usually quiet around my house, with the majority of the grandkids in Hawaii and only one here. I don't do much shopping at all. I have my daughters go on Amazon and buy what they want for themselves and kids, with a budget of course. Hubby is just happy to be with me. My son, well he's a boy, it doesn't matter with him. My other relatives, I may give them something small , depending on what type of business I'm doing and give to them. It's mostly a relaxing day for me.

Every year we go through the ordeal of wondering what to do about Christmas. Some want to give to all of the family members, some want to draw names, some do not care how it is handled, and then some of us aren't that interested in the gift giving at all. We just enjoy getting together with the family.

I am not sure how Christmas will be handled this year. There are mostly men in my family, and it is hard to shop for them while staying in my price range. LOL...Usually, they get tons of socks, underwear, and T-shirts. Since they will buy that for themselves anyway (or at least their wives will buy those things for them), I wonder why we even bother.

Normally I'm a between Thanksgiving and Christmas shopper. I always mean to get gifts bought earlier in the year, but it never seems to happen.

This year, with me not working, we are cutting WAYYY back. And Thank Goodness for that! For me, there is way too much emphasis on expensive gifts and not enough enjoyment of just being together. This year should be much better. We're sticking with handmade or photo gifts. Great thing about having a baby is that everyone is happy to get just a picture or ornament of him.

Christmas is TWO MONTHS AWAY! Are you ready? Do you shop throughout the year, wait till the day after Thanksgiving sales, or are you a last minute, day before Christmas shopper?

Or maybe your family doesn't exchange gifts. Tell us about that too. :)
