Hey there. I just joined this team and I am super happy about meeting other spark people from this area. This is going to be so much fun. I just joined my first challenge ever for the month of April and I became the team captain. I am not sure if I am doing it right but it sure is fun and my team is in the lead. I am looking forward to if we have any challenges for this team as well.
And don't worry.....Spring will get here one of these days. We had a pretty sweet glimpse of it last week. Take advantage when the opportunity shows itself. We do live in Wisconsin afterall.

Hi Expiredroses1,
I agree with you...I don't usually see very much going on for our spark community. This summer once again has seemed to have just flown by! I have NOT met my goals. I get a good start, then something comes up and pulls me away. Getting very frustrating!! I just have way too much on my plate (figuratively speaking). I need to find a way to reach a happy medium with all my responsibilities without letting anyone down. Oh well, at least I keep on trying instead of just giving up!

It will be interesting to see if anyone comes up with any fun challenges we can join in on.

Thanks for your post, I think I'm starting to feel my spark trying to come back!

Don't expect a good day...make one!

Hi everyone!! It appears we have a very lax spark community involvement. I think we need a challenge. Whose in? Maybe our team leaders can put something together for us?

What has everyone done this summer? Did you meet your goals and how? If you didn't, what are you going to change? The holidays are going to be coming up soon, how do you plan to meet your goals during them?

I'll start. I haven't done much this summer. I took classes last summer, fall, and spring, and wanted a little break. Working full time and grad school is horrible but I only have 2 semesters left! YAY!!! But, I finally got my butt up and moving and I feel great. I am almost 40 lbs down by strictly watching what I eat and working out 5 times a week. No fast food, no added sugars, no junk food, no simple carbs or pastries, and trying to be as natural as possible. I started canning and using natural cleaners for goodness sake. It was really hard the first few months but after 4, I feel amazing. Still a ways to go but you need to start somewhere.

I even keep a resistance band by the sofa so when I do feel like having a lazy night, I just "play" with it. I also started a competition at work for who can lose the most weight/inches by Dec 20th of this year. I've got some tough competition but some very good motivation for the next 4 months.

Share your stories whether good, bad, or in between. We need to get some spark back in our team before the cold weather hits and motivation seems sparse.
