We have a lot of small ones out here and I wish I could get to them, but we also have a lot of Amish markets, large and small and they have the best veggies there. Stocked up yesterday on one really close to here. I love those fresh veggies, wish I could still grow my own...

....and have been.... R News did a nice spot on it today, Saturday 9/11. Now that we live closer I hope to get there more often, but Greece has a very nice market x2/week also. ROC has some excellent Farmer's Markets in nearly every town. For a mid-sized city, we are very health conscious and a very agrarian-minded ppl!

I get to the downtown Public Market every chance we can, but now that it's time again, the town markets will be opening and fresh produce can be easily found. LOVE it!

I know what you mean by the traffic. the first time I went it was cold with a little hail and snow so was expecting that for the second visit. The line to park was something else. I will rotate between the village farmer's market and the Rochester public market.

I love the Public Market, but unless I get there at 6 a.m. to parking is frustrating. I usually go to the Greece-Ridge Mall Market on Saturdays. I think it starts after Memorial weekend.

We are blessed to have such an abundance of farmer's markets and locally grown produce so close to our homes.

I don't get there as much as I should. I usually go late in the summer to get things to preserve, like tomatoes and peaches.
But thanks for the reminder that they are open earlier.

Have many of you have been to the Rochester public market? Town public market?

Been a couple times in the last couple of months and have to say what a bargain in adding fresh fruits and veggies to my healthy lifestyle while saving loads on money on my grocery bill!
