Wow, wow, wow. I think this pose is one of the more beautiful poses of yoga. I have huge problems with balance poses, but just keep working because I know some day when the time is right, I will do them.

Lost 65 lbs and maintained since 2006.

So I started a PM yoga video on Saturday night. Of course with any first video, I messed everything up, but was able to get through it until I go to the Parivrtta Ardha Chandrasana pose (google it if you don't know what it is). I fell right over and was like no way can I balance that!

So Sunday night I had hubby stand behind me so I can "lean" into him a little. He actually did a great job because he held my hips so I didn't have to lean at all. And I was able to hold the pose.

Then last night, hubby was doing yoga with me, so I lost my "wall" and just went for it, and totally held the pose all by myself! I was so excited.

So, really no one around me would understand my excitement so I thought I would come here to share. I'm also sooooo close to putting my feet flat doing the downward dog! I really like that position and can't wait for my arms to get strong enough to hold it and be able to relax.
