Good for you Yestango. Namaste to your fresh start.
Patricia, I don’t really have a recipe. I just start with a quinoa base and then add lots of veggies and fruit.... whatever I have on hand.... Orange, yellow, green bell peppers, corn, radishes, pomegranates, grapes, olives, black beans etc. whatever your favorites are. The dressing I made had a lime base (our citrus trees are overwhelming us) with olive oil, honey, balsamic, salt pepper etc. (just a vinaigrette you like). Unless I’m baking I’m guilty of not using recipes.
I skipped yoga yesterday to give my shoulder some more rest. Today I took it easy at practice at the gym. (12 of 12)
Tomorrow and the rest of the week I will be in San Diego with my grandson. We always do a lot of stroller walking. They live near Balboa Park so I should get lots of miles in. Lots of fun ahead!!!!!

so, yeah, I fell off the wagon but its all good! I did some introspection, self evaluation and vowing honesty, recorded my weight for the first time in two months...yes, I lost 22 pounds and gained back 10 in the past 6 months. (though not all recorded on Sparkpeople. that is a recent event. )

Last week, with the help of my therapist I began a brain re-boot! Yay! needed to look at sleep problems and work-focus problems.

I am re-committing to a routine - thank you all yogis for your inspiration for how it looks!! ...to be on the ball...

Yesterday I went to a yin practice at my instructor’s home. Then we had a pot luck lunch of vegetarian/vegan food. It was all yummy. I brought a colorful quinoa salad.
I’m headed to a practice at the gym in a few hours. (10 & 11 of 12 for my intention)

I just got in from a sweaty 3 mile walk. I’m on target for this months walking goals.

Meditation and prayer every morning keeps me centered and grateful.

February 19: 11/15 daughter's sequence, 28 min and Chopra Meditation, 18:54

I was helping my daughter with her designed sequence, which had to be 15 min long, however hers was 28min. It was quite a challenge to shorten it . I was glad I could help, it was more Yoga for me, because with all the attempts I did one more hour of yoga, until she reached her 15 min sequence...lol, who would say that a sequence is all that work....

I agree Kay, breath work is so centering and carries into my daily life, calming me when I need it!
Tonight the practice was yin like. I really enjoyed it. (3 of 12)
I had some anxiety for no reason this morning so meditation and breath work, a short walk, some strenuous vacuuming, and yoga have made my day a good one. Namaste everyone!

Hi all. Happy February!
My intentions:
*12 yoga practices at the gym, at my instructor’s home, or in my home. Focus on balance.
*meditation every morning-10 min. minimum
*50 walking/jogging miles

I try to hold fast to the truth that a full and thankful heart cannot entertain great conceits. When brimming with gratitude, one's heartbeat must surely result in outgoing love, the finest emotion that we can ever know. AS BILL SEES IT

this month I intend -

15 yoga/PT/meditation sessions
15 cardio workouts of at least 30 minutes in duration (walking 3.5 MPH or biking 15 MPH)


I have adjusted my expectations!

15 practices Yoga and Meditation, 15 minutes minimum, balancing poses and a new pose.

Today my daughter started her 200 hrs Yoga course, we've been reading Yoga Sutra, Light of Yoga, The Baghavad Gita and The Yamas and Niyamas...I'll see what else I can learn from her in the next 5 months
