emoticon Congratulations Lex! I have lost 1 pound in the past week, exercised daily for the past 14 days. I still need to work on cleaning up my food although I have made a lot of progress. My current challenge is to make weighing and measuring second nature, I still tend to forget.

Wow MightyLex! 100lbs. That is quite the accomplishment! I can't to be able to say the same thing. I am taking things slowly, and sticking to my exercise and new eating habits. I know it will happen eventually. Thank you for commenting on my weight loss. With good friends supporting us WE can do this! Good luck!

Great work everyone!! Looks like some of us struggled a little to see results on the scale in February, but it looks like we are all back on track and moving ahead! WE CAN DO THIS!!!

I dropped 8lbs this month (I'll weigh in again tomorrow for my full Feb numbers), and I'm 3lbs away from losing 100lbs. There have been a lot of stops and starts, but sticking with it, and taking small steps have gotten me this far. It's been 10 months and they have flown by. I'm hoping to hit my final goal weight by my birthday in September.

These last few weeks have been difficult. I have been doing OK on eating. Only a day here and there that went over my preferred cal intake, but never more than SP's limit for me. Exercising has always been a prob, what can I say? But I have been stuck in the 180 to 181 range for the last three weeks. It's driving me crazy to hit a plateau so soon. I've been diligent with working out for the last three or four days but so far still I'm still in that same weight range. Here's hoping tomorrows weigh in will be in the 170's. I really want to be in at least the 150's by mid May, so things better start changing soon. :o)

Last week was not a good week. My daughter was home from college plus I lacked all motivation. I didn't even report my weigh in because I was embarrassed to admit that I had gained 3 1/2 pounds. Well this week, I realized I really need my spark friends. You are not judgemental, and if I would have admitted to myself that I needed help, you would have all been there to help build me back up. I apologize for not having faith in all of you.

This week is much better. I'm back to excercising, and I've lost 1 1/2 of those pounds I gained. I have sort of been a stalker this week....not participating in the discussions...just reading what everyone else is talking about. Well, I'm back and here to stay! Whether I am successful for a week or not, I now know that I have to be accountable for my action. Thanks to SP and all my spark friends for keeping me in line.

I lost between 8 and 10 lbs since January. I don't feel like that's very much, but I know that sometimes the loss doesn't show up on the scale. Sometimes it's just inches. I know I can tell a difference with the way my clothes fit. Even my panties are getting too big! :) Clothes that I couldn't wear at the beginning of the school year now fit. The ones that were very tight are now loose. So, I can tell I am losing. I will weigh tomorrow to find out for sure. I try to weigh only once a week. :)

emoticon I have lost 13 pounds since January 1st but have still struggled in being consistent with my food and exercise. I am ready to kick it in to high gear and stay on track for losing 100+ pounds in a year!

I lost about 8 pounds in January, and now 11 so far! I also fit into my "next size down" jeans this morning (wearing them right now) so I feel great! However, I am slightly worried, because I feel like it's been fairly easy up to this point, and I'm afraid I'll get discouraged once it starts getting harder. I just have to keep that motivation up!

I lost 4lbs in January and made a decision this month will be different. Lazy and Procrastination are not an option from now on. I have made a food list instead of deciding the day of what to do. I have a plan on exercising for each day.

I agree with you Jenn.... I too can hardly wait for winter to end! :)
My January month was all about discovering SparkPeople. I finally get it! I've been working on my water intake and stopping diet (A&W root beer)! It has been a big deal to me. It probably has been the hardest thing for me to do. Now water is always at my finger tips. It wasn't easy at first....In fact I kept pouring glasses of water I left setting around into my plants. I decided they were being over watered and if i kept it up I would kill them! emoticon SOooooo...... I had to get it down and stop being so silly about water. It makes me feel better. My legs have stopped hurting and my skin looks better. Plus by getting off Diet Soda my water retention has gone away! January was very successful! I did drop a few pounds too.

January was fairly nice to me. I lost 21 pounds and at my last weigh in, although I didn't lose anything -- I didn't gain anything either! So, I'm still putting a big ol' "W" on last week as a Win. Hope I can keep this momentum going. With the weather (hopefully) getting nicer, I know I'll feel more inclined to work out and actually get more active. Can't WAIT for Spring! :)

I actually gained 2 pounds in Jan. But I did manage to workout for 20 days of the month. Feb will be better for me. I'm tired of the emotional eating that I put myself through. I going to work on No Meat days. For February it will be every other day. It's time to sacifice my tongue for a healthier me. That with working out is sure to bring about a better me come March.

My January started off really good, then I let life and laziness take over. I am organizing a weight loss challenge at work that I am going to win! 3 months, $30/person, top 3 losers split the kitty. Cash is motivating me. Cash and my knees... We start Feb 15, so I know I will post a loss for Feb!

Success is just around the corner for the person who refuses to quit.

I lost a total of 15 pounds in January so I'm pretty happy about that. I can't wait to see what February has in store for me. I've been working hard and it's paying off so I know I can keep this momentum going. Besides, it's helping a lot with my depression so no matter what way I look at it, it's a GREAT thing!!! :D

I spent January working on my eating habits and lost 20 lbs now this month I've got to add in the exercise to keep it up. I started day one of the 28 day boot camp and I hope this helps me get used to exercising regularly Good luck everyone we can do it

I managed to lose 8 pounds in the month of January--not without some kicking and screaming--I have to say, I still don't like to exercise. It is a necessary evil at this point and some days I just plain don't choose to do it. (It didn't help that I got sick for 4-5 days and broke my tenuous streak!) Today is the first day of a new month and hopefully a better attitude toward exercise! (I'm doing pretty well with my food journal--even when I go "off program") emoticon 8 pounds X 3 is 24 (slip one more pound in there, and I've met my first 25 pound goal!)

I'm with Sara...they didn't fly away fast enough! Although I have to celebrate that I made it through the month. I often lose staying power and this time I didn't give up. I hope February does a repeat even if I dont lose as much as I would like, I want to stay in the game!

January was a good month for both fitness and diet. My cravings for unhealthy foods are almost nonexistent. Now I mostly crave certain flavor profiles, and I can usually spice my way to satisfying the crave. I'm hoping the weight will fly off faster this month, and the muscle will start to define itself (with my help)/

Hey Kooky here! My lbs didnt exactly fly away it was more like they went on vacation. Unfortunately i did a bit of yo yoing last month but am ready to get a handle on it and fly the straight and narrow. Come on good health!

Yes another month has flown by...did you have any weight fly away too? I sure hope so. I have found the gym again, and am looking forward to getting to 30,000 fitness minutes VERY soon! Have a super month. Hopefully we will be adding a new leader here soon, just waiting to hear back from DJS-Debbie. Have another super February!
