I'm checking in before March is over. I'm getting ready to join Weight Watchers on April 1st when I get paid and follow their program for as long as I can afford it. I've been doing a modified version of Take Shape for Life sithout using thier supplements. I follow their program and in place of their supplements I eat as close f replacement as I can. I was down 15 pounds, but now I've regained 3 of them, so that is why I'm going to switch programs. Something wasn't working right in my body in TSFL. I 've stuck to the plans religiously and I am amazed at my own willpower. I've never stuck with anything this long that I remember in my life and I'm still going strong. I can't wait to have that first 20 pounds off and then the first 40. I will be so stoked! I need to decide on a rewards system for myself that doesn't involve food. That will be my goal for today.

Hi all. This has been a bad week for me. I had a really bad head cold that moved into my chest. I have asthma so that made it even worse. If that wasn't enough, my back went out, and I had severe pain across my lower back into my groin and down my leg,. Needless to say, I didn't get in any exercise, but I got up to walk around the house alot to try to loosen up my back.

On a good note, I did not use this as an excuse to eat anything I wanted. In fact, I think I ate MORE fruits and vegies to help fight the cold. I'm on the mend now, but I'm going to take it slow. Hopefully, we can get outside to walk for a little while. The temp is still a little frigid, but the sun feels wonderful.

emoticon Hi everyone!!! Last time I checked in I was feeling down and out but my sprirt was high!!! Well, my motivation is even higher and I'm doing good. I do need to work in more exercise but my eating has been good. I have added lots of emoticon emoticon emoticon to my eating. Next week starts Spring Break so my goal is to get in exercise EVERYDAY!!! I weigh in tomorrow..so excited!!! Hope everyone has a fantastic FRIDAY emoticon

Hi all! Just started the SparkPeople program this past Sunday (for the second time, but this time is for keeps!), and I've already lost 4-1/2 pounds from watching what I eat and exercising.

From 262 on Sunday to 257.5 last night. Whee!
Goal weight to be 160 by December 31st.

I know it will probably get harder later, but I'm so darn pleased with myself right now, I'm going to ride this high while I can... *giggle*

Hi! I stumbled upon this group this morning by accident, and I'm so glad I did! I've been on Sparkpeople now for 5 weeks and I've lost almost 15lbs. My goal is to lost 110 total by next March, so we'll see if I can do it! Hope everyone is having a great week!

Hey Everyone.. I joined this team almost a year ago but I have just recently been active again.. I have lost 10 last month.. I started up again on the 14th of Feb. Well now that I am back on a roll and finally being truthful with myself and realistic I am ready to shed this burden! I am ready to make this year count!! Hi--I just found this team tonight--I'm in!

I joined/started NutriSystem on 11/11/10, with the goal of losing 100# by 11/11/11.

As of today's weigh-in, I'm down 31 lbs, or 31%--almost one third of the way--there!

I have lost all this without exercising, but I think if I don't get back to the gym soon, I'm going to plateau. So I hope to get back there VERY SOON ... like TOMORROW!!!

Nice to be here with you all! I don't post very often cuz too busy at work, but I'll do my best.

Hey everyone. March is the month of change for me. Haven't been doing so well so far but as of right now I'm going to do better. Starting the BL 30-day diet/exercise challenge. So wish me motivation! Tomorrow we clean out the fridge and cupboards and replace everything with healthy food and I begin my exericse plan.

It is the middle of the month and time for all the birthday party's. Today my pup turned 2 years old. Now she will have to grow up because we don't have the excuse that she isn't 2 yet! Happy Birthday Zoe! Hope you enjoy your new toy!

This week I only lost 1 pound, but that is still great. I figure that I built some muscle due to all the snow shoveling and blowing ! Here is to another successful week ahead !

Hey everyone. Congrats on your weight loss. I started January 11th and have lost 18 pounds so far. I was doing a steady 2 pounds per week, up until last week where there was a blip and I gained .6 pounds, but I lost 2 again this week, so I feel like I'm back on the right track.

Been moving snow all day. finally said enough at 6p,! Started working on the snow at 4am because both dogs needed to go out! So had to make a path at that point the snow was 8"!
When the snow stopped coming down it was 19"! What fun as long as you think of it as a form of exercise and that it is burning up calories,

This are going in the right direction! Lost 2 pounds this week and that would be a really nice thing to see every week from here on out! But don't want to put pressure on myself for what ever the scale tells me is going to be good. For as long as I eat healthy and do exercise I'm doing good for myself!

Ok, time to give myself a kick in the pants and get back on track. I eat well enough and make sure I get plenty of fruits and vegetables. It's the wine and beer that puts me over my calorie limit. Beer with bowling, wine with dinner or after a rough day. And my exercise has been almost non-existent.

My hubby and I have decided to give up the beer and wine for Lent and replace it with exercising together. If we do this together, we will keep each other accountable, Wish us luck.

It wasn't easy, but had to do something and I was full from my big breakfast!
I do so enjoy walking, last year I found that I had to add other kinds of activity to keep losing the weight. As the muscle grew the pounds went up and it just got so upsetting. Once I started to walk 4 miles a day and then do 30 mins of strength training focuing on different area of the body each day and then 30 mins on the urban rebounder I started to lose the weight again and the lose was better than the muscle build up. Have a great weekend and that was great for you to get my foucus off the cake!

THEMIGHTYEX: Thank YOU for caring about the fact that I was setting myself up for failure! Don't stop telling me the truth. Today my brother who is a healthy weight had a heart attack and the very first thing on my mind was what can I eat to comfort myself until the next phone call. I didn't I took the phone out side and paced up and down the driveway, chopped some ice and picked up the backyard after the pups! I just kept myself active rather than side there eating something stupid. It was a good thing that before I got the call I had one of my big breakfasts that holds me better than the usual.

Once again Thank YOU and please don't stop when you see something that I'm heading to do wrong or crazy ! Brother is doing well and resting comfortibly !

KAYWEB555 celebrate the people, not the cake. You will get so much Closer to your goal for the month by just not having any cake calories. Birthdays and Holidays have a strong association with eating "treats", but that stuff is anything but a treat.

I'm being preachy here, but I keep playing my own past celebration excuses in my head. You know yourself better than anyone, and can determine if how to get the best results, just don't fall for the trap off thinking bad nutrition consumption is the only way to celebrate with friends. (that does sound really preachy)

Have to make a real push for March to make up for the fact that I wasn't under the power of the SPT power! You can find so much strength in the different teams and I just was doing Jan, Feb mostly on my own. Feb. 17th I started a 21 day challenge just to come and take part. NOW I'm looking forward to seeing how everyone is doing each day. So I have a 17 pound loss to work on for March and there are four b'day party's and St Patty's day. I can plan three of these to meet my needs and one I will just have eaten so that I'm full leaving just enough cals. for dessert. I can do this! Really, I'd be very happy with a 2# lose every week! then i got a little confused, loss some mental ground
but moving back on and looking forward to a great March!!

Lift something equal to the weight you've lost and carry it around for awhile
