im back and ready to do this starting october 1st i will use my trackers everyday and will continue to move and exercise i believe i can do this and im going to do itim ready to do this i have the motivation and the energy finally to do it so bring on october!!!!!

Hello All, emoticon
Today has been a pretty good day, then those things happen. I woke up this morning had a great breakfast. Piece of toast with coconut oil on it, and and egg mug. My egg mug had spinach, onions, feta cheese and basil, and of course egg beaters. I brought me some baked salmon and sweet potatoes for lunch. And some salsa and homemade baked chips for snack. Feeling pretty good. Then my mom comes to work and being the sweetheart she is she brings me in a bagel from Panera Bread. Now me and Panera have this love hate relationship, although I love their bagels I hate that they are not at all good for me, well the flavor I like anyway. So, in comes my mom with this awesome bagel. And I'm like dang mommy, y? y? So here I have a choice I can eat all of the 400 something calorie bagel and just say hey life happens. I can give it all away and be craving the bagel ALL day, or I could just eat half and give the other half to my boss who's like the best. So I choose the last option. I feel good too, because it was delish and I feel very satisfied. Isn't that what life is about? emoticon

I don't know if this will help you or not, but there is a group on SP for chair exercisers. I kind of looked at it awhile back. It is for those that can't get down on the floor to do exercises or if you have leg or back problems or stuff. Might be something to look into so you don't get bored...Walking can get boring if that is all you do, I agree. Might be a place to start until your back is stronger and you can handle doing other things. Just a thought.

Hello, I've been a member for a while in this group but got side swiped by life so I haven't been around pretty much since I joined this group.

I'm here again because this is my birthday month (it was on the 5th) and I'd like to try to lose 100 by my next birthday.

This past year has been CRAZY....but I've survived it. I got a major sprain in my leg while I was in the "zone" and was really getting into the grove of exercising as if that alone wasn't dragging me down enough I then found out I had uterine cancer and had a total hysterectomy. It has been a very long recovery. Through this all I have struggled with depression and stress. I just want to be healthy and look good in some NICE clothes not have to buy any of the ol'moo moos!!!!

I'm so ready to kick some butt and get back into that wonderful zone because it felt soooooo gooooood. I hope I can get some support because I need it. I also hope to be supportive to anyone who needs it.

Right now my challenge is exercising. I can walk but doing anything else at my weight and with this back is hard. Walking is so boring to me. I miss being able to do other things that I once could. I know I just have to keep going and I will eventually get there. That's what keeps me motivated.

Hey everyone! Figured I'd check in. I've been on this team for a year or more but have been "set back" numerous times. Now I've found a plan that works for me and I'm stickin to it!! I started this new journey almost 2 weeks ago and have already lost 13.2 lbs..(15.2 since I finally realized I'm at rock bottom). I just have to keep moving, keep making the right decisions, and try to work through this emotional roller coaster that keeps pulling me back. I hope to make some friends on the boards to help me fill that void that overeating used to fill!

You guys are all an inspiration!! Let's lose big this month!

Oh, Shirley, that is a lot of handle. I'm so sorry your family is going through that.

After a knee injury sidelined me almost a year ago, I just raced a 1/2 marathon relay on Sunday. It was a big first step back for me, and I was really happy with how it went.

I have been on Sparks for years, but this year had a major setback when my son was diagnosed and operated on for a brain tumor in May. It is now September and my hubby and I are still in an apt in a city 6 hours away from where we live as we continue to support my son.
It turns out that I am a stress eater and now weigh 291 lbs. This is 30 lbs more than my lowest with Sparks.
However, my son's condition has stabilized. He is 25 and has also suffered a stroke in his brain stem where the tumor was located. As we move from medical crisis to rehab, I want to get back my focus on a healthy lifestyle.
So I'm committed to stop going backwards and really focus on returning to a healthy lifestyle and most of all tracking my food. I will need to keep myself accountable for this as it is all too easy to tell myself that I'm too tired when I get home from the hospital from working with my son.

hi all, I joined a while back and got side tracked. I'm starting again and hope to accomplish this goal of losing 100 (or more!) in a year.

I'm on track with the first week of September having lost 8.5 lbs since August 27, 2011. Of course first week is usually water weight as a result of the body detoxing off the refined carbs and processed foods. I've got a whole new attitude though. READY TO DO THIS!

I signed up for a Biggest Loser challenge at a moms group I belong to which is giving extra motivation. They are going to be starting a 5K walking group 3X per week which will also be helpful.
