Nina, sounds like a fun day for you. It must make it seem like you are not very far away from your family with skype.

Good Evening Ladies
It was windy and cooler today. Built a fire tonight.

We did our scrapbook craft skype today. It was sure good to get to talk to everyone there. My sister that had her second knee done was home and doing good.

That was most of my day.

Very tired and ready to go to bed.
Chat tomorrow-I read everyone's post today

Patty, Quinn lives in Portland - 4 hour round trip commute to here. Troy would be limited in how much he can help. He's in a positive frame of mind right now but it can be hard for them seeing Bruce constantly forgetting what he is saying, usually with tv on and his nose in the laptop as well. The other thing is Bruce gets weary real fast if we're out.

I made 3 potholders. That is enough for now.
I am on dishcloth #5 right now.

I also am working today on getting the heel turned on my sock.
Karen, you are warmer than we are here, only 56 here.

I did get out and walk 1/2 mile on front porch. I want to get back out there and do another 1/2 mile.

Glenna, you sure have a good start on spring cleaning.

Jan, will your boys be able to help some with Bruce as he gets to need more care?

Patty, That picture gave me a good chuckle. Were you making potholders, too? Good idea to make a list of meal ideas. DH doesn't seem to have an appetite anymore. Scrap the idea of going to Costco for a roasted chicken - he wanted to dash home.

Glenna, That is a cute little good morning mouse. When you sent it, it was still morning here. Isn't it great seeing the sun? Wasn't that a cute potholder? Aunt Hattie used to make ones like that. It will be nice to relax in your nice, clean living room.

Karen, That's the truth! I wonder if Nina had warmer weather?

Happy Sunday Girls,

I have been cleaning in the living room. I have moved out a couple pieces of furniture and mopped. Plus doing some more laundry. And gathering up trash to take out for tomorrow. So I have been busy. It is warmer here. Sunny and 50-ish. Wonderful!

Patty, Your dish clothes sound so pretty. Are you using the same pattern for all of them? Or different ones? This is the finer thread you found, right? That is a good idea to put a suggestion list on the fridge. I have had trouble the past couple of days finding something I want to eat.

Jan, I like that picture you put up. I love those homey, comfy ones. You girls and the roasted chickens make me want some chicken!!! Hope you have good services.

Hi Karen and Nina. How are things with you two today?

I know it isn't morning, but this was such a sweet little picture. I figure it is good any time of the day.

Good morning Jan and Girls,
Jan, I love those rotisserie chickens too.
Last week they had rotisserie breasts already cooked. I bought a package of them, there were 4 breasts in there, so 4 meals.
They also had legs and thighs packaged, but I didn't get them.

Supposed to be 55 here today.

My cough is back, so hubby went to town without me...boohoo...I'm assuming it's allergies, but I just don't know.

Finished another dishcloth. Emerald. I started another emerald one. I want to make 2 of each of the 5 colors, that will be 10, so that will be plenty.

Last night I changed out my summer quilt for the winter comforter.
Also switched out the winter bedspread for the summer one. I use darker colors for winter, and a bit lighter colors for summer.
I bought 3 bedspreads for $8 each on clearance from Carol Wright...I love them. Have had them for a few years.

I am washing the comforter and bedspread, when dry I will store them for winter.

Hubby says salmon for supper with a smaller winter squash...yummy along side apple crisp and green beans.

I always have a problem figuring out what to fix for suppers.

So I wrote down, on a sticky note, the ideas for meals.
steak
salmon
pork chops
ham
eggs
sirloin burger
casserole
shrimp
chicken
smoked sausage

I don't necessarily just go down the list, but it helps me to have it on the frig, and remember which meals we have had for a while.

egg salad sandwich for lunch with cuties

Have a good day Girls.

Good Sunday morning girls,

Has it warmed up over your way? It's about 37 here this morning.

What will today bring? Time change for all of us except lucky Nina.

I think we'll go out to Costco after church and get a roasted chicken. Lots of good meals from that.
