I very much get the "failure feeling" - basically every weekend!! I do great all week long at work when I can control things, but then my hubby is the cook in the family & he has NO weight issues at all. He has a very active job & huge appetite, so I eat all the yumminess he prepares & undo ALL the good I did all week! I step on the scale on Monday nite & feel the failure every doggone week. Need to find a way to break out of the cycle, but he will NOT eat healthy at all. He might "live too long". emoticon

Agreed. This weekend was my calorie buster. We go out on Friday's. Applebee's lunch menu seemed light. When I checked the calories (after I ate it), I was blown away. During the week, I don't have that many calories in an entire DAY as I did at lunch! What was worse, everyone was hungry at dinner time. I fixed dinner like normal, about 530-560 calories.

I had to go through this weird morning stage. It was as if I was so sad all my favorite foods are a bazzillion calories and they are now off the list. Before I got too boo hoo-ish about all of it, I gave myself permission to have it. (Yeah, I already ate it's not like I could feel bad enough to change the past) I told myself, I am going to check the calories before ordering. If they are a bazzillion and I still want it, I will have less of it.

I go through the same thing. Funny though, I went out to dinner last night with freinds and I and my freinds ordered the brownie sundae. I found that all I needed was a couple of bites and that took the urge away. My freinds ended up eating the rest. My freinds also said how fantastic I look. It always help to have a freind tell you how good you look

Shobel I soooo get it. I've overcome it tho by planning, & allowing myself to eat some, too!

William you are soooo right!

My failures are deeper than food tho, & I take it out on myself w/food. emoticon

Countless times, but then you pick yourself up and start over. That how life is. Do not beat yourself for it, just start again.
