It sounds like you have been through quite a bit over a period of time.

A2 Milk appears to have a lot of benefits for some who couldn't otherwise consume the A1 milk. Had it been out when it was discovered I was dairy food intolerant, I would possibly have tried it, but I use Soy Milk and it is cheaper, so won't bother with trying it.

Gosh, just googled your Dr Tusky
uvahealth.com/findadoctor/profile/an
ne
-g-tuskey

It sounds like you have a really knowledgeable and *specialized* Specialist. You are very fortunate.

It's definitely warming up in New Zealand. Some places hit 34C (nearly 95F) today. The summer temps are in a month before summer even begins LOL!

I had surgery on August 30th at the university of Virginia hospital in Charlottesville Virginia due to an obstruction that caused my food to not go through without assistance from ducosate and dicyclomine . I had a restructuring of my ileum. I was discharged from the hospital September 3rd and we came back to Elkins,WV September 7th.
I have been walking as they wanted me to and drinking a2 whole milk in my healing process. I am doing their enhanced recovery program. I got my staples out September 18th at my primary care doctor appointment I had that day. It needs to heal from the inside out. I am wearing my husband’s pajama bottoms Because I they want me to wear something comfortable while healing , which these are. I can still wear my shirts with it. However I lost weight I am at 118 currently the doctors say don’t worry about your weight. However, I want to get to 125 after I fully heal. I have a maxi pad on to cover the drainage whole. They want me on 5 small meals a day. I go see a gastroenterologist at uva hospital on November 13th in Charlottesville Virginia. The surgeon’s assistant said they dr Tusky is really good with Crohn’s disease , the surgeon said that as well.I am going to suggest I switch my infusion medicine to entyvio.
due to the remicade not working at all. I cannot exercise yet I am still healing, and with my drainage whole I do not want to take any chances in messing anything up. It is getting cold here in Elkins . I want to make cupcakes today and freeze some. Have a good day.

Today is a Winter's Day .... in Autumn. We have strong gales, busts blowing at up to 110k/hr. I visited my Mum in a Residential Care Hospital this a/noon, and could feel the building shaking in the wind. I had to drive home in it, but at least I got home.

I made a great big batch of pumpkin soup a couple weeks ago, and yesterday I bought a big pumpkin that was really cheap. It is 4.6kg (10.14lb) so am looking forward to using it in many ways. I am having some of the other one on hand with my dinner tonight. I love it roasted with the skin on. That caramelizes beautifully, so am looking forward to it along with the Roast Beef I have just put in the oven, and other roasted veges.

It is a lovely Autumn day here today - hardly a cloud in the sky.

Soups can be a right lifesaver at times. My late hubby used to love eating them whether he was in a flareup or not. Just as well, because at one stage we had them 4-5 nights a week (variety of them) for a main meal re having to live off an oily rag LOL!

Midnight06, I love my bread machine.

Honestly, when I'm in constant pain, I go to soups and stay with them for a while. That normally helps me a bit, well, and pain killers. Hope you're doing better!

It sounds like you have a lot on your plate!!!

I wonder if in part the headaches could be caused by extreme stress? Have you thought about having a couple sessions of therapy to help you with that?

I would imagine that you have a Registered Dietitian's input for your needs. If you don't, then I strongly suggest that you ask your Dr for a referral to one. I wonder if something like Ensure or Fortisip would help you, as in an extra to your meals (like having it as a drink) rather than instead of a meal.

Good luck,
Remember to keep in touch and let us know what is happening.

I am having difficulty gaining weight at this time.
I have been back and forth to Virginia for medical appointments for my husband since this past April 13th. The fistula that they created at the university of Virginia got infected. Joseph has a bad reaction to the cloraprep and tagaderm dressing they put on him. I made sure that they put that in his chart there so everyone can see that.
And all the stress of this is causing me pain I just had my colonoscopy August 15 th and my Remicade infusion treatment the week before.
I see my gastroenterologist this Tuesday.
I am currently 119 that was my weight when I went to my dermatologist for something.
But I am 10 to 11 pounds under my goal weight of 128 pounds. So hopefully I can do something to get to my goal weight again.i have been getting headaches as well. I really do not want my Crohn’s
to come out of remission. But if it does it is due to all this traveling back and forth and being sad because Joseph’s arm got infected and came undone and Infectious fluid came pouring out Friday April 14, 2018.
Early part of this month I was in a lot of pain.
It hurt to eat any type of food no matter what it was and I had pain after my bowel movements.
That is why I have not been on here is due to me being busy and in pain . I even cooked some salmon for myself twice but I still hurt , I read that salmon is good to eat during a flare up.
I guess that was an old wives tale. I cannot tell
If I had flare up pain or menstrual pain I do not know anymore. So at Tuesday’s appointment
I am going to see what the doctor or his physicians assistant has to say I will show him or her my calendar from April in till now and see what they say and what I need to do. I just do not like weighing less then 128 pounds and I do not like being in pain. I am doing ok now except I have a headache. And my size 8 jeans , capris jeans,
Size medium leggings long and short are big on me i wear a 2 XL size belt just to hold them up, this is NOT Funny at all. I think I will make homemade bread with bread flour it has a higher protein count
But I need to write out my bread recipes I have on Pinterest first to use with my stand mixer and dough hook. I do have a bread machine in the meantime.

Are you doing anything about your Depression? I suggest that you talk with your Dr about it, even if you ARE receiving treatment. It is likely that it needs to be reviewed.

Hugs,
Kris

Mine was quite good.

I went to see my nearly 97yr old mother for Mother's Day and my daughter came over to mine after I got home. I also got to video message with my son who lives in Canada, so that was really good :-)

If I could get the doctors to do that, that would be wonderful! I'll talk to mine and see what they say.

I am in one support group online that is wonderful, but the meetings are at a time and place I can't make it because my husband and I have one car.

I'm here.

Why not start your own support group where you live. Perhaps you could put a notice in the various Doctors' rooms giving a contact no. for those who are interested in joining one. Have it so that it doesn't just include Crohn's but encompasses other IB problems because that way you might get more people interested.

Where all is everybody at? If you don't want to comment exactly, totally understand. I just got done with a week of being sick after getting my Remicade, and realize I've neglected here. I'm northeast of ATL. Wish there was a closer local support group here, but there isn't.
