I saw 119.8 on the scale before Easter. I gained weight after Easter and many family parties...I'm currently 124. I'm finally back on track. Goal by July 1: 120

I am not doing so well at this time.
that time of the month. it is also
getting difficult to lose the weight
in my thighs and butt.
although i have not gained 7 - 10 pounds at all
it is just getting difficult to lose those last
7 t0 8 pounds i need to lose to get to my goal weigh
of 126 lbs. i gues i am going to need some challenges maybe to me motivated.

I have officially lost 25.4 pounds! I weighed in this morning at 136.6. I have been stuck at 137.8- 138.6 for a few days now. I'm glad that increasing my workouts this weekend helped get me out of this barrier. =) Focused on getting into my 120s shortly.

Today I'm just in a bad mood. It has nothing to do with my health it has everything to do with life. Life definitely threw a curve ball at me last night. My car broke and I was stranded and no one I had in my phone who lived in my town could help me...not even the police!!! I felt so alone. Ugh. So today I'm in the worst mood. The silver lining is I'm safe though. I'm home now and all is well! Sometimes you just have to be mad and get it out and today's that day for me.

How is everyone doing with their cravings or temptations? It's still hard for me to resist everything but at least I'm making sure I log what I eat and check totals before dinner so that I don't go over. My ultimate goal will be to eat sensibly and not be controlled by urges - but hooray for logging my food. Small steps right? Haha

HELLO All-
I think this might be my first Daily Post, but I just wanted to say hello. I have been absent from the boards for a while, and well I need to get back into the routine.. my motto today: I HAVE ALREADY DONE EASY, NOW ITS TIME TO DO HARD- basically I feel that it was easy for me to settle and just let my excuses for not going to the gym get the best of me, but now I am back to my old wieght, my pre-california vacation weight from last year.. and well I do not want to go back there after I had been doing so well.. But the problem is the fact that I have too much of a crazed schedule to get anything done, so in the meantime I am trying to make the best of it and get in what I can where I can.. And come the Summer I can get my butt back into shape. I hope that by the time Summer ends I will be in the best shape ever and will actually be on my way to living this new life..

Hello! Hope everyone had a good weekend! I am ready for the new week....to be over already! LOL but really this is going to be a good week. I had 2 great workouts this weekend...and ready for burning more calories this week. 3 more weeks till my vacation..don't think I will make it to my goal, but I am just going to keep going and get as close as I can.Over the past month and a half, I have lost between 5 and 7lbs; goal was 15lbs. Is losing 1 or 2 lbs a week, for the next 3 unrealistic?? Hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!!

I'm still really motivated to work out but as of right now working out is cutting into my study time. I can't compromise my grades and finals are coming up. I really wanted to step up my workout. I'd like to find an hour a day. I just have to get through this month and then I can really turn up the intensity :)

Does anyone out there use a heart rate monitor? If so, could someone suggest which brands are good? I've read that Polar makes good ones but I'm not sure which type to get. Thanks!

I'm frustrated the scaled isn't moving! I think I have to step up my workouts and eat a bit healthier/ cleaner. I'm a bit sore today from my spin class this morning. I'm definitely going to feel it tomorrow. :) haha Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!

My 25th birthday is in 19 weeks!!! I'm 144.6. March was a month to get back into eating within my calories range and start working out again. I didn't lose much (3 pounds), but in April, my focus is to eat clean and workout 4-5 times a week. I would love to get down to 130-135 by then. Wish me luck!! :)

I load up on the fruits. Cottage cheese with 2 tbsp of lite syrup makes for a low-cal sweet treat. I eat those Special K 90 cal bars...they are sooo good! And sweet. Anytime I crave the sweets, I resort to these. Not to say I don't break down and have a mini-twix or 2 kisses...but I don't have the full serving.

Life is short...wear heels!

I am loving working out... it's a top priority now. It helps that my daughter loves the kid gym provided and asks to go often! Thanks 24 hr Fitness!

I've been right there with you guys on doing well during the day, but at night being naughty. All last week I did really good though and here were my tricks:

I think it's normal to want to eat more at night because it's like you're coming in from a great workout and you feel like you deserve something extra, and you're probably really, really hungry. Well I would try drinking a protein shake IMMEDIATELY after getting in from the gym. That or pound a bottle of water between when you get home and when you are about to eat. Make a smaller portion of whatever it is you are cooking. Don't get seconds. Sit and let your food digest for a few minutes. You will probably not want more. So then I'll make a cup of this diet swiss miss hot chocolate. it's 25 calories and no fat. i actually make 2 cups of it and put it in my to go coffee cup and i sip on that for the rest of the night and that makes me not want to eat anymore and cure my need for sweets!

I seem to have the same problem too! I workout and eat right... then at night I seem to want more food. So I started eating more during the day. As far as working out, try adding variety... over exercising isn't a good thing either.

I have the same issue. I work out 6 times a week, strength training for 3, cardio for 6 and i just cant stop the mini candy attacks and the out to eat thing more than once a week. AHH. If you find a solution, let me know!

Uggh... I feel like Im doing good durring the morning and early afternoon on my food and then it just goes downhill...
What do you do durring the day to keep you from over eating??? I have been over my max calorie reccomendation a LOT this week...How do you keep up the motivation throughout the day....??? I just feel that I work out so hard every day but I cant get the dieting thing down..if I could eat right I think to myself the weight would just drop off...????

Danced danced danced this weekend. Limited the alcohol intake and did not do the 2a drive-thru with the rest of the people I was with.

Clothes are fitting better even if the scale is moving like molasses in Vermont in February!! emoticon

It's been super difficult to stick to a reasonable diet. With the Valentine season around, I work more hours, which means I'm further being exposed to free chocolate and ice cream. It is so important for me to pack a healthy snack or lunch. Not to mention, they just came back with my favorite ice cream flavor Cannoli. Ugh! I can't wait for Valentine's Day to be over. haha
I love this challenge. I've already been encouraged to clean my room and help my mother out with some home improvements. It's feels really good to watch all the calories you've burned add up like that. : )

I'm really liking this challenge! I have been a bit slow going this week due to the issues at work, it bummed me out and I didn't do much. We are also picking up the work my manager left behind so that meant OT this week. However, I've read on some of these posts that "why wait til Monday? Start NOW!", soooo, I am!! Taking my daughter to the zoo for a jaunt...there are a lot of hilly areas there so that will be great. Have a great weekend everyone and keep your chin up!! emoticon

I'm sorry to read about the layoffs at work. But, I'm glad you didnt turn to food. I'm an emotional eater as well. It's hard!

The challenge has helped me as well. I got bored of working out at home, which was mostly DVDs. Now, I'm walking with friends and actually making working out fun. Have a great weekend!

Stressful week at work this week, we had layoffs and my manager of over 10 years was one of them. I didn't turn to food (I usually don't emotion eat), but I did have a freak out where I comtemplated a box of chocolates. Instead I wrote. That was helpful and I did get some great suggestions. I will make it and God willing I will continue to have my job too!! Hope everyone had a great week, mine is getting better.

I am soo stoked to start this challenge!! I started the bootcamp team challange..but only stuck to it for 2days lol..it was hard cuz you had to the videos on the computer..its soo much easier for me to go out walking, playing with my kids or go to the gym to kick butt on burning some calories So I think I will have no problem doing this challenge!

You are lucky...It has been a bit tough getting back into my diet/ workout plan. I created a new challenge... I'm hoping it can help me get back on track. The holiday was tough, but thankfully, I didn't gain too much.

I need to refocus and just get back into it. Hope everyone else is doing well.

It is kinda tough, but Ive been doing really well.
The only time I had a piece of cake was for the owners birthday. Hes kinda been like a dad to me since I started here and his wife made a carrot cake so I just got a center piece and tried to avoid the icing :)
But, it was homemade, so I had to try some!

Other than that Ive been good. and, unfortunately I think we have like one birthday a month here. Its nuts!

Thats true.

The only good thing is that two of the other girls are also using this so the two of them help keep me (mostly) on track, but I work for an HVAC company, so there are only three girls besides myself who work here, and the guys are always giving me a hard time.

"Come on... you can cheat a little cant you..."

But, I have been trying to bring fruit and other little snacks in so that I can eat those instead of eating junk food that is here or that they bring in.

The hardest times are birthdays. But, I just have to learn to say no a little better :)

I work at a chocolate and ice cream parlor so I definitely understand having junk food at work. Except all the girls I work with are younger and skinnier and eat everything. I do always get picked on for bringing an apple to work and eating that instead of a sundae. But at the end of the day I'm healthier and am more confident in my body because of it.

Glad to have you back Brokenwings. I completely understand the work thing. I am the only one at my job who is at a healthy weight, and they think gorging on junk food is just part of our job. I get singled out sometimes, but my victory tastes sweeter than there sweets, and I just bring tons of my own snacks.
