I'm so happy for you! Pain is NOT fun and unfortunately most of us have experienced it. I know when I don't have pain I feel blessed and truly thank the Lord for such a wonderful day. I hope you soon to be back to your longer runs. emoticon

Congrats. For me, running pain free is far more satisfying than running fast (which I don't).

Congratulations!
Hope you're on your way to a full recovery.
Enjoy whatever running you can get in.
Personally had a great year with several full and half marathons. Now health issues are trying to keep me down.

That's really great! I've gone back and forth with the same foot issue for nearly a year (a year as of next weekend, actually) and I know how frustrating it can be! But taking it slow and just enjoying running for running's sake is the best thing you can do. Sounds like a good 5k!

all of my runs up to this point have been difficult. with my recovery going slower than I would like, it has been a long frustrating process. Today, I placed 6th in my age group 40-49 at a local 5k. Of course a little sarcasm for me is typical... I came in 6th when there were only 5 age groupers..lol...

seriously though, i dont know how many were there. I just got my times and took off. I did finish with a 12:30 pace at 38:45. For my injury, that is really good.

The biggest thing that makes this a win is that I am not in pain. I have been fighting this cranky foot since January.

Pain free running really made my day totally. I cant wait until I can push out the longer mileages like I used to.

ME REALLY HAPPY
