Great quote Elle! I often find time for stillness and quiet usually when I would get impatient - waiting in lines, need a break from a crowded get together. I also meditate while walking, sitting in the bath. I've found meditation is more than finding the traditional pose. The purpose of meditation is to draw our focus inward, connecting to our inner source. Meditation offers us an activity that is not outwardly focused, that embraces stillness, quiet, and calm.

An old Zen saying:

You should sit in meditation for 20 minutes a day, unless you are too busy, then sit for an hour. emoticon

I just posted the picture on my sparkpage

I try to meditate every evening. I wish I could do it in the morning, but I can't work it into my schedule.

I meditate twice daily, in the morning and again in the afternoon, ten to fifteen minutes each time. I am retired so I have the time.

Yes, agree... and that is what i mean with the recipe... it's built into the recipe, so you can do it when you cook! :-)

It can be hard to find the time... but remember that meditation does not have to be sitting. Try a walking meditation - 2 birds with 1 stone! Or give yourself 10 minutes to reflect at the end of the day before you lie down to sleep. I don't mean to preach...just offering some friendly suggestions.

to meditate each day.. i try to do at least 5 minutes... but sometimes i just don't. I don't know why really, because 5 minutes isn't so much.
