Girl, you have that NO problem!! :)) I'm only down 9 since Jan 4th, and still going to go the month of February - I AM SO JEALOUS OF YOUR LEMON TREE... !!! lol! The jeans that were tight this month I can slide off without unbuttoning. Best feeling in the world... after I am done with the cleanse I plan on sticking to fruits veggies chicken and fish. Though I'm not a big fish eater, I guess it's good for ya ;) ...

My birthday is this Sunday ... But I almost met my -10 lb goal and I will probably exceed that before the 5th... I love the cleanse, most of all after you're done, it's not like the weight will pile back on because you realize how much work you put into it, you just want to take care of your body... plus with zumba... I feel amazing!! Keep up the good work!! WATER WATER WATER!! :))

Day 11, I'm going for 14! I'm so lucky to have a huge lemon tree in the backyard so I have an endless supply of fresh, organic lemons.
So far, I have only lost 3-4 lbs., but I feel like I'm shrinking and jeans certainly feel better so I'm pleased nonetheless. On day 15 I'm easing in with fruit, then veggies and juicing for a week before I begin weight watchers. My goal is to lose 25 lbs by my B-day, July 21st. I think that's realistic.
The first few days of MC are brutal, but now I feel like I could stay on another week, no problem. I'm going to keep this in my arsenal for when I plateau or get restless on WW. The best thing is that after doing MC for a while, fruits and veggies are more than satisfying ;)

Warm regards, Gloria

Congrats!! Yay for no bulging muffins!! Going on day 9 now down 8 lbs this month (5-6) due to the MC ... I am feeling great - I am going to see how long I can go - I just bought three full bags of lemons... hopefully that will last me another few weeks... :)) My goal is the end of february... :)) Wish me luck!

Day 7! It is getting easier... Today was a good test, I work mostly from home, going to the office twice a week, today was an office day and I forgot my juice!
NOTE: We have catered food at work, today was Thai food, chicken, rice, veggies... So no juice and the smell of Thai food...
I'm so proud of myself, I was tempted, but not enough to succumb. Instead, I loaded up on Ginger tea and after eyeing a coworker's tangerine for about an hour, I asked if I could have it.
So that was my day, unit 4pm - lots of water, tea and 1 tangerine. I'm calling it a success! I've been drinking my lemonade since I got home and feel great! 5 more days til ease-out!

PS: I wore the jeans I was wearing on my first day - my muffin top was noticeably smaller! Yay!

Warm regards, Gloria

I am on day 6 - but I've been cheating with other liquids. I am still losing inches, I'm seeing the scale go down, starting tomorrow I think I am ready to go full balls to the wall on this again :) This will be my 3rd go around on this diet, and I love the before and after pictures... even just after a week! More motivation to keep it up. :))

Day 5 and I'm starving! I ate all my juice and have been sipping Ginger tea all day. I need to go to bed so I don't chew my arm off. LOL!
I did the cleanse for 10 days last year and it seems like after 3 days it got easier and after 5 days it was easy. I did the ease-in this time so I will actually be going for 14 days, so theoretically I'm only on day two of juice only. That might be the difference. I just keep reminding myself of how good I felt on day 10 the last go round. That feeling is worth it!
Here's hoping tomorrow is a better day!

Those b4 and after pix are definitely a good idea, since they're the best way to really see the difference. I think I might try Bikram Yoga. That sounds like it burns mega cals. I have a friend who has been doing that after having her second son and it really whipped her back into shape--she looks fabulous.

Thanks so much for the great advices. I will check on SP CardioBlast DVD. My hubby has Beachbody's 10 min trainer (100 cal per set) DVD, so I may try that in addition to my 4 mph power walk (177 cal in 30 min). Once a week of Bikram Yoga (658 cal in 90 min) will help me too, so hopefully I can keep my current weight and lose it slowly. I should take my own and hubby's picture now, for the "beforre & after" thingy.

Hi JP, LOL, your hubby actually made it?! Wow, that's takes discipline, especially since he's been thinking about nothing but meat. He needs to be careful about eating too much after 10 days of no food, it might make him really sick.

I've been able to keep all the weight off and lose a couple more lbs after my last cleanse. I increased my exercise and made sure I tracked all of my food, so I would stay within my intake/output ranges. I also started running in addition to my regular workout. If you don't have time to run, I recommend looking into the SparkPeople CardioBlast DVD. It has 10 minute cardio segments that really burn the calories. I use it when (like today) it's raining out and I need to burn some extra calories. I also T-Tapp (www.t-tapp.com) and that seems to be the only strength training exercise that keeps my heart rate in the cardio range at the same time. Plus it has helped put my body back into bikini shape (LOL- not that I'd be seen in a bikini ever again--I'm not so sure that's age-appropriate). Building muscle is a surefire way to keep the lbs off, since it really ups your metabolism. As far as eating is concerned, I upped my protein intake and eat very little refined carbs in the way of sugar and other processed foods. The carbs I eat are in the form of veggies (lots of green) and whole grains. I really like quinoa, because it's so versatile. I do like pasta, so when I make that, I use the Atkins Penne, they are high in protein and fiber and low in carbs, and I have to admit that I really like meat and fish and butter lettuce, and would eat that over anything else, even chocolate :-).

15 lbs by August is a good goal and you'll look beautiful at the wedding.

Hello team! My 10 day master cleanse was over on last Wednesday, and I am almost over with orange juice diet. I can go back eating solid food tomorrow. Yes!!!
emoticon
Tomorrow is my hubby's 10th day, and he confessed that he has never stop thinking about meat last nine days and will be thinking about his first meat meal tomorrow. He has to attend his brother's birthday party, and his brother is a great meat eater. I hope he survives tomorrow. He probably does orange juice diet better than me though...
emoticon
I recorded my weight loss on my tracker, so that I will do my best to keep it for next few weeks and lose another 15 lbs. My hubby's brother's wedding is in August this year, so I can take a little slower process than my original plan. I don't want to have any rebounds.
emoticon
I wonder how everyone keeping oneself from a rebound after the cleasne? If possible...

Lol. Nice to keep looking hot for the hubby. Yesterday I went on the road and stayed longer than expected so I didn't have enough lemonade with me. On top of that it was hot out so the lemonade i had with me (left it in the car) spoilt.... I am starving to death and my stomach is killing me.

Today is day 10 so I guess I made it but I gotta have some food today I am at death's door. LMAO.

Yeah!! It's so great to see you're still hanging in there. Soup and fruit sounds good.
I'm also thinking about another cleanse in 4 months. I have to get ready for my hubby's 35th reunion in June. I've only met a few of his classmates ever and so far I've been able to avoid going to all of the previous reunions. When he was in HS, my hubby was a geek and girls wouldn't give him a second look. He's filled out and pretty darned handsome now( if I may say so), so he said he really would like for them to see that he rated a woman better than all of them put together. LOL--I love that compliment, but it's getting more and more difficult to live up to, so I had best get to one those reunions before he has to eat his words :-).

Hey team

Almost at the end and I can't wait to reach day 10 tomorrow. Yeah! I feel good but I really want to eat some food.

My athritis isn't hurting as much now. I think I'll go back on the cleanse in another 4 to 6 months.

Meanwhile I'm planning how to ease out of this cleanse. Maybe just fruits and a soup on Tuesday?

Hi Chali_a, Congratulations on getting to Day 7!! That's super. Stick with it. Don't worry about having more lemonade. The rule is if a big salad sounds good, then you're hungry. If pizza or hamburgers or some other food does, you may be facing cravings. Funny how the cravings work. You can even crave something you don't eat or crave normally. Drink more lemonade and more water. I've had cleanses where I didn't hardly loose anything - according to the scale, but my tummy felt tighter. Know what I mean? That's a great feeling! Just stick with it. AND...b4 you come off the cleanse, plan how you'll do it.

Hey

I am on day 7 on the cleanse this is my first go... I don't normally eat a lot but somehow I am hungry now. Maybe I am waiting too long between lemonades or not sipping enough.

I had the salt water flush yesterday (normally do the tea) and was sick for the entire day. I'll stick to the tea from now on.

When I started I was loosing 1 to 2 lbs a day but for the last 3 days haven't lost a lb. Has that happened to others too? I know it's not only about the weight but it's good to see the lbs come off.

I would love to hear others thoughts.

I'm not doing the cleanse; it makes my elimination stop, even with teas and pills and salt flushes.

Thanks, we had a gr8 time.

I had coconut shrimp w/broccoli, side salad w/french dressing on the side, along with a water with lemon. Although I did not touch the biscuits, I shared a few bites of chocolate cake with DH. I'm not a big fan of chocolate, but I took a few tiny bites and put the fork down.

I'm really stuck on what to have for meals this week. Going to try and follow Sparks vegetarian plan for a few days. This way I don't have to think too much, other than go to the grocery store. I had a taste for oatmeal this morning, but no fruit to go in it.

That's good to know that about REd Lobster. The last time I went there, I had "steamed" lobster ... less than 45 calories and I (over)induldged on biscuits. I better limit myself this time.

I love those biscuits, but I just read an article that while Red Lobster has some of the healthiest choices you can make for dinner out, those wonderful biscuits are 150 calories EACH. I usually have 2, but in the future, I may only have 1.

Ohhh YES, the OJ tasted divine!

I feel great.

I ate some soup for dinner and the small amount that I had I felt full. My thought was "remember that feeling of fullness" so as not to ignore it again.

Today, soup for lunch and I'm going to try a few crackers with it. I love this soup, I think I want to make it a monthly staple, switching up the veggies, adding some ground turkey or tofu and kick it up a notch with some heat (cayenne).

Next week's plan is to focus on LOTS of veggies, keep up with water intake.

I did not step on the scale. Will wait until morning. Dinner tonight with hubby. He wants red lobster ... those biscuits may be a challenge because DH looking forward to them.

I'm doing good. Went to church this morning. So didn't have lax tea (I just can't get the SWF down) until after church. So far I've had four glasses of lemonade. I'll have two more in an hour. But I've been doing okay. Haven't chewed any gum. Still not hungry.

yeaaaaaaaaaa James, Siokee where are you, how are you doing? Team Rose are you still working it?
did i miss anyone that is cleansing NOW

as for the SF, i tell ya, LOL i agree it is nasty! i hardly every use salt when i am cooking.

another way to do it is, drink a Hugh glass of water, then take the salt in a shot glass. then more water
(jump up and down to mix it, LOL jk)
lax tea works, but NOTHING Flushes like the sf

when my back hurts, i flush, 9 times out of 10 the emptying of the colon relieves the pain due to it being pushed on from the colon

Keeping the eye on the prize is what it's all about. It's not like you're going to do this forever. It's a few days in the grand scheme of things and the benefits far outweigh what you can do by giving in to one moment of temptation. Way to go on getting the six glasses in and not chewing gum. With the SWF, have you tried to warm the water up a bit and imagine that it's soup you're drinking? I break the 32 oz into two portions with 1 tsp of salt in each, and I take a small break between glasses. I also hold my breath when I drink it, because if I smell it, all bets are off. Keep on going!

Okay. I got my 6 glasses in today. Did not chew any gum today. So I'm doing better. Still could not do the sea salt this morning, so did the lax tea. Will try again tomorrow morning. Thanks for all your help. You guys' comments help me to keep my eye on the prize.

James the first few days are HARD, the power of the mind is amazing! it is trying every trick in the book to get you to eat..
just watch the thoughts flow throw, i find them amusing
If you do any mental battle of will i or won't i. it keeps trying.
just let them flow, pull yourself away emotionally from the thoughts.
it will get easier, the gum will make it harder

In a couple days, you'll get used to not eating. I'm not saying the desire will entirely go away, but it will get much easier. It really helps you get control of impulsive eating. I think you should stay away from the gum. Chew on a straw or something else, if you must.

Try to drink at least 6 servings of the lemonade a day and lots of water. Chewing gum activates digestion, so that's counter-productive and you should avoid it if you can. Stick with it, it's worth it.

This is Day 1 for me.
Drank 4 glasses of lemonade. Trying to wait about an hour before I take my lax tea. At this point I need to go to sleep before I eat something. Oh, I have chewed gum today, which I'm sure is not helping with the detox. I'm not hungry. Just want to eat. Couldn't handle SWF this morning. Will try again tomorrow. Sorry my thoughts are all over the place.

true Littleone Jade. It was my plan and goal to have the lax tea. Either was too exhausted or the new mattress that was delivered yesterday did the trick ... slept like a baby!

well, it's 5:45 a.m., I'm sipping on SWF as I type. Although I managed to get one more LD in, I feel asleep last night before I could make my lax tea. I think I was sleep by 9. I was attempting to watch NCIS (love that show), now I don't know who done it! lol

Snowy day here on the east coast.

Can't seem to get more than 6 drinks in. Gonna try and slip one more in, wait an hour before I drink the lax tea.

NOW, my DH is downstairs cooking something and it smells sooooo good! But I'm not going to break!

I agree, Sookie. I was skeptical until I did it myself. Now I know what it does for me and I'm a believer. I can't make anyone else understand, though.

You are absolutely right about feeling good. Now to keep that in the forefront when this is complete. A co-worker asked me today was I cleansing. The other couldn't believe that one could benefit from it. Most people that seem to be against it have not tried it. When I completed my first 10 days, I decided to make it an annual thing.

Next month I will be participating in a corporate fast, Daniel's Fast. I'm excited and looking forward to it. Get to really know my fruits and veggies.

Day 16 - This cleanse is absolutely remarkable. Now I know it's not about losing weight, it's about good health. The weight loss is just a benefit. The best part of this whole thing is there is absolutely no hunger after the initial 4-5 days. The worst part is getting people to understand that you really don't want food.

Day 2 underway!

Finished D1 with 7 lemon drinks, 10 cups of water. Energy level I'd give it a 8.5.

LittleoneJade, it is nice to have some buddies along for the ride. ;)

That great the bracelets are still available.

The last time I did the cleanse I averaged 6 glasses a day. Not sure how to get the 8 in, but I will try. Wolosyn's book recommends a minimum of 6 a day. I just finished #5, which puts me at just over 700 calories. Maybe I'll make a double batch before heading out the door.

Hey, all, I just ordered my Dr Oz "Just 10" bracelet. From the website: "Losing just 10 pounds can lower your blood pressure, reduce your risk for a stroke, ward off dementia, lower your risk for uterine and breast cancer, and lower your cholesterol up to 10%." Thanks, SOOKIE!! It's not gold, but I'm going to wear it with pride!

I'm actually down about 8 more pounds than shows up here, but I'm not going to post my weight loss until a week has passed. By then, I should be beyond the weight loss/gain of the fast. I'm hosting a conference this week and have 3 dinners planned already, so it will be tough, but I'm going to try to keep as much of it off as possible. Just the act of having food in your digestive tract will cause it to "weigh in" as extra pounds on the scale, so to keep the 8 pound loss, I actually have to lose more. I'm not so hot at that, or I wouldn't be here on SparkPeople, enjoying the company of YOU! emoticon

SADDYSPOT, sounds like you're familiar with the cleanse. You're so right. I've never lost much weight on the cleanse, but have had amazing results with health and healing and overall body function.

I've lost a little more weight now that I'm off the cleanse because I'm really not that hungry, my stomach has shrunk and I'm taking it really easy on the food. I just had lemonade, OJ and vegetable broth yesterday - not much more calories than on the cleanse. Then today, I've had lemonade, OJ and plan on a small salad and as many steamed vegetables as I want. Tomorrow, I'll probably venture back into some protein and maybe even a little starch.

SOOKIE, another 10: 10 ounces per lemonade drink! Lots of reasons to have a "Just 10" bracelet. I'm going to have to check out his website to see if they're still available. Some official organization (I forget which) recommends losing just 5 - 10% of your weight for noticeably improved health. (perhaps another 10?)

The bracelet says "Just 10." Yes its for weight loss, but I'm wearing it to remind myself that this cleanse is only 10 days, 10 lemon drinks, 10 cups of water, 10 days.

Just remember that cleansing is not for weight loss. It's fun to watch the scale go down faster than usual, but for me, once I've started eating again, all but 1 or 2 pounds comes back within 2 weeks. Granted, I'm happy to lose the 1 or 2 lbs, but this would be a miserable way to diet if that was all it was. Celebrate your improving health, don't sweat the weight.

I'm on day 14 and no idea how many more days I'll go. I've only lost 13 pounds since I started so I'm not happy with the weight. I'm still unable to keep the SWF down. Will give up on the SWF and concentrate on Lax Tex.

"Bull's Eye Boutique," huh? Really cute. If you hadn't spelled it out for me, I wouldn't have figured it out.

I'm drinking my OJ. Or should I say 'chewing it!' It's 3 oranges with all the pulp. Yum!

Sookie, Good luck with the SWF at night. It's never worked well for me if I don't have a really empty stomach. I hope it works for you.

Hi All!

HEALTHYBIZ ... emoticon emoticon !

Ntsohltnt, that happened to me in '09. I made it to day five, left the house somewhat unprepared. I honestly didn't think I'd be out the house as long as I was. And I broke the cleanse prematurely by eating raw nuts.

Littleonejade, hope you are feeling much better.

On a happy note, I now have ALL my ingredients. Stopped at Trader Joes for the Maple Syrup and picked up a lemon squeezer at Bulls-Eye Boutique (Target). I had an electric one, but it must have gotten misplaced in the transition.

I am going to start with the SWF tonight. Mornings will be a bit difficult for it. Day 6 and 7 I will have the SWF again. The other days I will use the Tea.

HEALTHBIZ, congrats on making it through. I did have a rough patch today--tempting foods all over the place and I forgot to take my lemonade bottle along with me. Ugh.

LIITLEONEJADE, I'm sorry to hear you're still sick. Get better soon! Congrats on making it through despite being so sick. I hope you'll get some rest from all that coughing.

BTW, I was sorely tempted yesterday when I went to Whole Foods to pick up the Maple Syrup. They were giving out food samples - Same at Trader Joe's. The devil sitting on my shoulder was saying, "Last day, who's gonna know? Just one little bite..." But I was strong and walked past the temptation. Whew!

SOOKIE, I hope you were able to get the syrup and you can start on Monday. If you don't get any, if you have agave nectar or black strap molasses on hand, you can substitute with those until you find some maple syrup.

LITTLEONEJADE, congrats on making it! Are you going longer? I'm thinking I'll go through nest week and ease out on Saturday; that would make it 13 or 13 days for me. I'm doing great so far, with very little side effects. My energy is up and I feel great as well.

Have a super day everyone!

WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO DAY 9

sorry everyone, been busy, feeling great !

sookie i don't buy all of the lemons at once.. i pick up enough for 3 days, i buy organic for the cleanse and i want them to look yummy and bright.

i buy a big maple syrup, i use it in my coffee and for a replacement of processed sugar all year round..

my body does not like white processed sugar, it is nasty stuff.. which is why most of us are fat. they put the crap in everything, even mustard. it is nut
look at your ingredients of what you eat, everyone that ends with the letters ose IS A SUGAR and altered one
hence why our body doesn't process it right

Yes, tomorrow is OJ day. Already have a big bag of them.

I hate to send you out in the snow, but you'll need the Maple Syrup! Don't do it without. I'd be really grumpy without it! And HUNGRY!

I'm sad to leave the cleanse, but really looking forward to fresh squeezed OJ. I'm going to start the day with a lemonade. Helps me ease into things... emoticon

Looks like I'm going to have to start Monday instead of Sunday. With preparing for company today and getting hit with snow I did not venture out.

I stopped at two stores yesterday and neither had what I need. DH also went to another store today and they did not have what I needed. I could start with a SWF, bowl full of lemons, but no maple syrup.

my excited seemd to wearing off these last 2-3 days, but I NEED to do this. Not only to clean out the inside, but for the sake of some discipline and focus.

Healthybiz, so you are drinking OJ on Day 11?

Hey Sookie, be sure you get enough! It's a chilly Day 10 and I have to run out for more Maple Syrup! emoticon emoticon Oh well, I'll just do a little shopping for the fresh veggies I'm going to put into a soup in a few days. emoticon emoticon

I went through my Maple Syrup so fast, I think my hubby has developed an extra-special liking for it. He mentioned he'd tried it, but I think it was more than a 'taste!' (If you know what I mean!)

OK, I'm off to the store.

Good Morning Lemonheads!

Healthy Biz, your plan for easing into regular foods sounds good. I too can only do 10 days, but I am going to see how it goes and if I can do an extra day or two of the cleanse before easing out of it.

Two more days before I begin. This week has been an up and down week as far as food, so I'm ready to kick this cleanse in gear. Between today and tomorrow I will pick up my lemons, lax tea and maple syrup.

Littlejade Day 7 for you! How's it going?
Question, did you all buy enough lemons for the entire 10 days or just a few days at a time?

ttyl

Hi Sookie,
Thanks for asking (about how I'm doin' on the cleanse). I thought I'd post here since the other site is for dates.

Doing great. Really not that much to report. But this is MC#5 for me. Little aches and pains. A bad headache on Day 2, but not nearly as bad as in prior cleanses. It's been a few years since my last cleanse, so I've been over due. I love the way I feel on them. But I can only do 10 days this time. I'm gonna miss being on the cleanse when it ends on Saturday.

How are you doing?

Day 8 - and I can only do 10 days this time.

Hey, LITTLEONEJADE, I was wondering about that, too. I haven't changed my weight yet and probably won't until a week after the cleanse. When the digestive tract fills with regular food, I always gain 5+ pounds back. I'm planning to ease into regular food with a day of OJ first, then salads, raw veggies and maybe a soup since it's so cold!

Glad I found a group here on SparkPeople.

I'll usually go through days of that towards the end. At some point, I think there just isn't anything left to come out. I don't use the SWF--I hated it and in Stanley Borrough's book, he said it wasn't necessary as long as you use the tea morning and night.

DAY 2

yesterdays 32 ounces of salt water was hard to drink
movement came long before i dank it all
total lemonade drank through out the day was 45 ounces

ok, so lets share the mind games the thinker part of mind played..

1) i want a salad
2) peanut butter
3) you don't need to really do this, your find
4) you can do this later

ummmm just for a few thoughts

ok counter active thoughts that shortly followed

1) yum salad, you will eat plenty of them later
2) must want protein, I always crave protein as soon as i start the cleanse

3) i remind myself it is only 10 days, to hang in their.

oh yea, the funniest part is how the thinker rationalizes that it would be ok to eat something good and healthy.. how yummy a crisp cucumber would be
LOL ok going to stop here

I'm way off. Since the accident (june), getting married (july), and adjusting I have really slacked off. there were days I barely drank a cup. But today is a new day and I'm going for the minimum 8 glasses of water. Will slowly work my way up to 10-12 a day. Since I'm starting the cleanse next Sunday, I should be able to get at least the 8 in and up it to 9-10 during the cleanse. At least that's the plan!

so i filled my bottles and my mind starts thinking
OK, you could have prepared yourself better.

i thought i was drinking enough water, but the nice thing about these water bottles is, their is no guessing.
i don't think i was even close to drinking half the ounce i should be.

your body weight
divided in 1/2,
= how many ounces of water you should be drinking in a day
