DH, the pup and I spent lots of time in the yard today. We put up a new bird feeding station and took lots of walks around our property. Also spent some time sitting on the porch watching and listening to the birds.

I did some yard work and played with my grandson outside today. It was great to be in the spring air.

I touch base with several of the people I work with through out the work hours. Walk with friends on Saturday/Sunday following required social distancing. Call my Mom and Dad a little more often, since I reside 6 hours North of them and cannot go see them due to restrictions and safety concerns for their health.

I joined in online worship while sitting beside my garden.
As for the quarantine questions:
--I'm grateful that those close to me have remained healthy even though the virus has threatened our circle.
--I'm checking in with Kiddo #2 on the other side of the world.
--I "normally" expect quicker replies and response times. I'm letting that go and extending much more grace than I have in the past.
--I spent an hour outside first thing this morning, and will likely go for a walk in the park this aft.
--In addition to that walk, I've tended to my strength training.
--I'm inviting the beauty of birdsong through my open window.

I did some trimming back of some wild honeysuckle yesterday (Saturday) and for some reason really sapped the life outta me for a lot of hours. I actually did more the week before - more strenuous longer time - but for some reason yesterday kicked my butt. I still have a bit more in that particular area but not today lol.

As for the lock down I'm not minding it - I'm keeping in touch with friends and family - I go out for groceries about once a week. I do miss my fun things I do but it's also given me a huge perspective on one of those things that I've done for over 20 years has become more of a burden than a joy and will be stepping back from it (I think lol - depends on if I'm still feeling this way when we can go back to our weekly meetings)

Great set of questions to keep in mind. Thank you.

The garden has been a boon this last few weeks. It has given me an element of control when things feel so disrupted. I'm getting some family time via Skype etc but I do miss my job!!

I have been working in the garden for a short time each day, getting ready for planting in a couple of weeks. New life is bursting forth, and the birds are exultant!

May 3rd is National Garden Meditation Day. If it's safe to do so, spend some time in your garden or take a walk through a park with greenery. Listen to the sounds of nature around you.

BONUS/ALTERNATE CHALLENGE: Answer the following questions (seen on Hungrygirl's Instagram account)....

Who am I checking in on or connecting with today?

What expectations of “normal” am I letting go of today?
