This was just the fun I needed this morning! I especially got a kick out of the stripper pole! What a hoot! We had sleet this morning and more yuck is forecast...got some gripper things for our boots yesterday so the walking is safe but running is out for me for some time at least outside....I needed a good smile. Thanks!

ROFL, GSDMike!!!

And K-Mike... is there a place she would prefer the stripper's pole? Somehow I would think the bedroom would be the BEST place for it! HEE!

Mike, the stripping pole is at the NM - I don't think my wife would approve of a stripping pole in the bedroom. We actually had a 2nd one installed in the NM when Trish was hogging the one pole.

Not sure I want to know why Kayakid has a stripper pole in his bedroom, or if he doesn't, why that image would necessarily come to Bobby...

Very nice! Love it.

I don't win races, but I always cross the finish line. I'm not fast, but I try my best to become faster. I don't have sports endorsements or earn a paycheck, but that doesn't stop me from running. My pace does not define me. Just because "professional" does not precede "athlete" in describing me doesn't make my running any less valuable. I am an everyday athlete; leading a normal life, but with big goals and dreams.
I am an athlete. I am a runner. (runzoerun.com)

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the naughty mansion

Not a runner was stirring, not even fraction;

The stockings were hung by the hot tub with care,

In hopes that SP Nancy soon would be there;

The runners were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of PR’s danced in their heads;

And Danerin in her Asics, and Kayakid in his cap,

Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,

When out on the lawn there was a big bang,

Kayakid sprung from the bed and hit the stripper pole with a clang.

Away to the window Danerin flew like a flash,

Tore open the shutters and sprung out in a dash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow

Gave the lustre of metals from races long ago,

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But the Rookie Runners, running in cashmere,

With their lovely leader, so lively and fancy,

I knew in a moment it must be SP Nancy.

More rapid than eagles the runners they came,

And she whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

"Now, Coops! now, Cassie! now, Mia and Racin4me!

On, JoPa! on Gigi! on, Runningwild and Wongerchi!

To the top of the hill! And into the mansion!

I just knew we were going to need and expansion!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,

When they meet with an obstacle, they jump so high,

So up to the mansion the rookies they flew,

With the sleigh full of running gear, and SP Nancy too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard a rap on the door

with the smiles and singing we all adore.

As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,

In came SP Nancy with a bound.

She was dressed all in Nike, from her head to her feet,

And her clothes were all sweaty but she still smelled so sweet;

A bundle of running gear she had flung on her back,

And she looked like a peddler just opening her pack.

Her eyes -- how they twinkled! Her dimples how merry!

Her cheeks were like a Texas rose, her nose like a cherry!

Her droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,

And with a gator around her neck, we knew she would soon have to go.

The smile is so sweet that we see the white of her teeth,

She looks like an angle with a halo of a wreath;

She had a small face and a flat “6” pack for a belly,

But before Spark People it was like a bowlful of jelly.

She was slim and trim, a right jolly old elf,

And I laughed when I saw her, we all want to be her including myself;

A wink of her eye and a twist of her head,

Soon gave me to know great things were ahead;

She spoke not a word, but went straight to her work,

Leaving stacks of goodies, from Garmins to Brooks,

Shoes to socks and piled in the corner was the Master’s Running book;

She next filled all the stockings with the best running gear,

We know we will run safe and have no fear;

Taking a glance at the runners,

And giving them nod they sprint out the door, and I thought oh what a bummer;

She sprang to her sleigh, shooting her starter gun,

And they all knew it was time to run.

But I heard her exclaim, as they ran out of sight,

"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night.
