Since I practically live on the lake during the summer, I am an avid collector of swimsuits.

The one I adore is the Catalina Slimming Swimsuit sold at Walmart. They go on clearance late summer , so I am not sure if you can find one now. I have about 5 different styles of these. They hold everything in place and even where it should be with no worries of anything falling out, PLUS I feel good in them.

Great plan for exercising!!!

I second SwimsuitsForAll (which is part of the fullbeauty brand family, so Woman Within, Roaman's, etc) and eBay. eBay is kinda hit or miss, but my mom has found some really good deals over the years.

Personally, I like buying swim separates from Woman Within. I spent the summer in a swim tee (SPF 50!) and capri pants made out of that crinkley crepey swim material. No sunburns and lots of mobility and modesty. Most swimsuits are too low-cut on me, and I like to move in the water, and I'm always afraid of popping out. Swim tee with a cotton sports bra. Perfect solution.

two places I didn't see mentioned are swimsuitsforall.com and swimandsweat.com - if you are big into water exercise (extremely easy on the joints and great for surgery rehab), Swim and Sweat has the largest selection of the "crinkle" fabric swimsuits I have seen. They hold up FOREVER in the chlorine.

LROZYLA Thank you for recommending makingitbig.com.

I had never heard of them and I was very pleased with their selection and the fact that they use plus sized models so we at least have some idea what the clothing will really look like.

Thank you thank you thank you!

I was also going to suggest Making It Big. Their clothes are pricey but they last forever!! They also have quite a bit of items on clearance.

As a personal preference, I would suggest that you not buy a bathing suit with the skirt attached to it. I had one that I really liked but it made movement in water aerobics class very awkward. Any kind of up and down movement caused the skirt to come up and get in the way. It also made the bathing suit much heavier when it was wet.

Also - another great store is Catherines.

I got a great suit from ebay. It was from a little boutique store out of california. It was 30 dollars with 5 shipping and it even came before the time it said it would. (It was a swim dress type thing though but it works)

I got several at Wal-Mart when I was 300+. My most recent one I got from Target. It was a gem hidden in the smaller sizes on sale for 8 bucks!

I like M.I.B, it's a little pricey but I like the bathing suits. They are well made and you can buy separates.

emoticon Does anyone here know where to find swimsuits for woman in larger sizes. I've also had the most horrible time finding clothing period at my size including intimates, needless to say my wardrobe is limited. I'm not redoing my wardrobe just yet as I have so much to loose still.

All that said I do need an outfit or two to workout instead of my regular clothes as well as a bathing suit to attempt these water classes/therapy. emoticon
