Thanks Emily!

I'm going to try switching up some of my menu items and give the tortilla a shot. I'll probably pre-prep and put it together as I microwave.

I'm on a new diet from a Dr. I have been eating 2-3 small proteins a day. 3-oz or the size of my fist, 2 fruits, and 5-1 cup veggie portions. I have been losing a lb. a day! No processed meats and no pork, no extra sugar other than what is in my food. no sugar substitutes except xylitol, truvia, or stevia. No extra fats other than what is in my food, and no starches or even starchy vegetables. So no bread, rice, pasta, flour, or sweet potatoes, or regular potatoes. No fruit juices or dried or canned fruits. Fresh or frozen fruits only. I'm also allowed a 3 egg portion, 1/2 cup full fat Greek plain yogurt, or 1/2 cup 4% milk fat cottage cheese for my proteins.

You can't eat the fruit with or after dinner, and no after dinner snacking. Fruit portions are 1 whole apple or 1 whole orange, half a large banana, or 1/2 cup grapes or berries, etc.

That sounds like a lot, but if you eat it spread out through the day, it really fills you up and makes you feel better. A lb. a day guys! I've officially been on the diet for a little over a week, Last tuesday to this Thursday and I'm down 8 lbs already. Literally losing that lb a day. I weigh myself in the morning after going to the bathroom.

When you make this Breakfast burrito do you just mix the eggs, salsa and sour cream together and then put on a tortilla? Do you think this would reheat easily? I don't eat breakfast at home during the week so this could be another option for eating at work.

Oh - and do you chop up the bacon and potato for your other breakfast tortilla?

I'm always looking for new ideas!!

Thanks Emily,
It looks like you keep your metabolism ticking over with a reasonable quantity of food.
I think that a trap that others of us fall into is by eating insufficient food then possibly binging.
I like the way you have prepared both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
It often means that dieting people have a boring selection, which is also easy to break.

Well-done and thanks again
Cheers richard

Thanks Emily for sharing! It is nice to see a well thought out, laid out plan with what to me would be "real" food.

I am not the one that asked for you to do this, but I definitely think it would be helpful
to each of us.

I like the creativity you included.....I am not able to eat the same things over and over,
so you have included a lot of variety.

Thanks for all the time it took, but again, I love getting ideas from others, sometimes
the old brain just shuts down.

Have a wonderful week. emoticon
