Good evening friends. I had a good day. I discovered a new way I can have my pizza that is good and healthy carbs. I used a bread to make it with that's called extreem wellness, made with flax seed. It has only 50 calories in it and it makes an awesome delishous pizza. I put mushrooms, turkey pepperoni, spinach, and cheese on it. emoticon emoticon

Having another good day. No problems with my blood sugar falling too low, thankfully. emoticon

I had potatoes with my breakfast this morning...something that I never do. However, it came with the frozen food package I had.

Hello all. I’ve been getting most of my carbs from bread, and from splurging on sweets...I know that’s very unhealthy. I know I need to change my eating habits. But I do enjoy eating beans, especially in soups and chili. I believe I can easily stay away from rice, pasta, and potatoes.

Hi There!

I like sweet potatoes, lentils, chickpeas, peas, beans, bananas, oatmeal, whole wheat bread, broccoli, blueberries, apples. Brown rice not white.

I'm a vegetarian so I need to be careful about eating refined carbohydrates (white flour, sugar).

I think this is interesting. I found it online.

"If you typically eat your potatoes warm out of the oven, you're missing out on the spud's belly-fat-fighting superpowers. When you throw potatoes in the refrigerator and eat them cold, their digestible starches turn into resistant starches through a process called retrogradation. As the name implies, resistant starch, well, resists digestion, which promotes fat oxidation and reduces abdominal fat. Since eating cold baked potatoes doesn't sound too appetizing, use the cooled spuds to make a potato salad instead."

Sounds good to me! emoticon

Hi -I've been religiously tracking my carbs for 3 weeks, and am having a really hard time meeting my daily goals for carbs. I am always quite short. I eat primarily veggies and am gluten-free. What are some good healthy carbs to add to my day, I usually end up with a deficient of around 90-120. I'm just looking for some good easy alternatives, and I do eat rice quite a bit. Thank you!
