emoticon Sounds like you're making good progress!

And yeah, I seem to get much more motivated if out-of-state relatives are coming. emoticon

The idea of New Years Resolutions is attractive to me. I like the time for reflection and the focus on growth. That being said, mine pretty much stay the same from year to year: Eat better, exercise more, be more organized, etc.

I have found that specific goals about gaining tools to help in those long-term goals have been really helpful. This year I have been trying new recipes and increasing my cooking skills. I got an exercise bike and a dog, that makes exercising a part of my routine. Organized...I guess invite people over more...I always clean when there is company.

Cheers!

Those 4 miles are spread out over the day, which helps. I also take Glucosamine and Chondroitin, which helps prevent my knees from popping out.

emoticon I"ll ditto the bad knees, but even when I had good one, I doubt I could've kept up with SHARJOPAUL & Dora dog, even with roller skates. You're my inspiration esp. with the gardening too! emoticon

Wishing all a Sparkling new year!

I do walk, usually at least 4 miles a day.

i think you can substitute "run" with whatever activity you might do... walk, bike ride, etc.
(its all about moving more :-)

cheers,

Good quote, regrettably bad knees make that extremely difficult.

this is the time of the year that many people make resolutions. i find this quote from runners world something to consider….

“Everything changed the day that I understood that if I was to become a runner, I would have to run with the body I had.” (John Bingham - he’s a regular contributor to the magazine)

cheers, and happy new year
