Yes me too....ugh! thanks everyone. Yes parking costs are crazy, but what really annoys me is my time is valued so little by doctors and health professionals! The fact that miscommunication between my GP and this ENT and who suffers? Us of course grrrrr. Probably a good thing I wait until end of August...maybe will cool down temper wise before I meet the receptionist who was trying to insist it was my fault! She was a B! Oh well not much we laymen can do but I am sure will have hard time keeping my trap shut if this 'missed' appt is brought up! LOL emoticon

I can really relate to the cost of the parking. During all the long weeks my father and then my mother were in the hospital, my husband drove me and dropped me off. We simply could not afford to park the car with the current rates. I am pleased to hear that the cost has become more reasonable for Parkwood. Hope this delay does not worsen your health Paula. Mai

I remember that Kathy, it was just terrible for you.

Hospital parking has cost Jo a lot this year with Brian having that stroke and all Ann's
appointments are at the hospital for the baby, you know when you get down to the last weeks you have to go every week.

Over at Parkwood, you only have to pay $4.00 for the day, all new parking over there.
When Jerry was across the street at the other hospital ,DH would park at Parkwood and walk across Commissioners .

You're both so right about that!

Last year when Mike (DH) broke his shoulder at work and then had to have surgery, every visit to the orthopedic surgeon was almost a whole day wasted - at least 4 - 5 hours on a good day, and of course you only got to see the dr. for about 10 minutes of that time...... don't even get me started on how much the parking set us back every visit too.

Hope that your August appointment goes much more smoothly, Paula!!!

Sorry Paula, been there done that.

Like what makes me laugh is going to the Dr. appointment at 100 get in at 400 what the heck if you were late for the appt, you would not get seen, don't show up and you get charged.

I was so angry today. Have been waiting almost 5 weeks for an appt with an E.N.T. Today 3:30 p.m. at our local Hospital, seems he is in this hospital once a week but his office is in Burlington. I arrived early and front desk told me to go upstairs, after inquiring with several nurses and staff a lovely cleaning lady told me he was there yesterday!!!!!!! I know I was correct in going today as I had been told by my Drs. Office! This lady called his office and a very errrr...miserable receptionist? tried to make out I was in the wrong! I !was not amused and now have to wait until the 29th of August! I think we should be able to charge for our time and their screw-ups! My whole day was on hold and inconvenienced, cost me parking! UGH! One good thing I did not buy chocolate to soothe my temper LOL. Hope everyones day was better than mine emoticon
