Happy New Year to you, too! When Missy comes back, she'll have to start our first thread of 2020!

I was telling my mom that I'm not upset about Kim going away for New Year's Eve. Jimmy and I used to drink when we were younger, but we're grownups now. LOL

I'm so excited for your family that Megan is having a girl! Ollie and Ella, that's going to be so cute! And speaking of Ollie, that is sweet of Dawn to have you over there!

Not too much went on around here today. I did start on taking the Christmas decorations down.

Enjoy your evening!

Hugs!

emoticon Happy New Year! emoticon Unbelievable! Seems like 2019 just started and now it's gone. :(

Yep! Right after Thanksgiving. :) I would think at least sometime between that and Christmas someone would have it.

I don't think you would be dull at all. :) Of course since we don't really drink either that may be why. Hehe! Greg may have a couple of beers a year and I may have only a small sip out of one of them and that's it for us.

The Pumpernickel bread was good with the baby swiss last night. :) I ate too much. :( I had one of those and a good many cheese, crackers and summer sausage, a few sweet gerkins, but it all was so yummy.

Today will be our sauerkraut and kielbasa with smashed taters and rolls. Later we'll have some apple pie cause I figure I'll be too full again to have any after we eat. LOL!

Megan posted yesterday they are having a girl this time! Woohoo! I was so happy, they are too. :) She will arrive toward the end of May or so, and she will be called Ella Grace. :) She said Ollie doesn't know what he'll be in for. LOL! I'm sure that's a fact. Hehe!

I talked to Dawn last night and she is just getting over the flu. :( I didn't know she was sick. So our plans with the kids have changed. It will now be on Saturday at her house at 5 in the evening. Courtney has to work on Friday and Ollie is heading in to his terrible 2's and is getting into everything. Dawn said she didn't want him breaking anything here and her home is Ollie proofed. It was nice of her to think of that. :)

Susi, I think we're onto something! I guess we'll look for the cocktail rye after Thanksgiving!

Kim went to Indianapolis to spend the holiday with her BFF. I guess the evening with her non-drinking parents was just too dull. LOL

As you said, we don't have any plans.

Happy New Year!

Cyndie, that's my plan too! I'll get the bread before Christmas and freeze it. :) We've frozen it before and it's been fine, I just keep it in the plastic bag too and tie it shut. :)

No plans for tonight. We don't go out and party. Now and then he'll wake me up to watch the ball drop but most of the time we're in bed way before that. LOL!

Susi, we do have Kroger's here. Thanks for letting me know about the cocktail rye. I agree with you, I would have thought it would have been available throughout the holidays. I guess I'll look for it earlier in "the season" next year.

Do you and Greg have any plans for New Year's Eve? I don't think Jimmy and I are doing anything.

I decided to go to Krogers so I got the paper too. Well, of course they didn't have any of the cocktail rye. :( They were out of it and she said it's considered seasonal and they can't order it now. They had plenty for Christmas. Wonder why they don't for New Year's people have parties then too. Oh well.

It was really windy out this morning and that made it chilly but it was 55 out. The temp has been going down all day and by tomorrow at 11 we're supposed to get some of that s stuff. :( I figured sooner or later.

Cyndie, according to the internet ads, Kroger may have the cocktail rye. :) Not sure if you have one there or not though. We do so I may make Greg check it out today, or maybe I can this morning. :)

Awesome on the new computer! :) That's the only thing I don't like about getting a new one is loading all the stuff on it I need. I can never seems to get my Norton's back on, it treats me like a new person when I still have time on it from before. I have to live chat with them to get it working. :(

No, I never did get the speakers working. :(* I sure miss the sound when I want to hear something, most of the time I do have it off though, but when I want it on..... :(

Boo on the accumulation! Greg said we were too, but there isn't anything on the internet about it yet, but that can change in a heartbeat as we all know. We do have a high wind warning for today though and rain.

Susi, the only way we could use 12 loaves of cocktail rye is if we were going into catering!

I do like a bargain, but you're right, the store I went to yesterday was junk.

I'm happy to hear that you're using "the toy".

Jimmy bought me a new computer for Christmas, as I was running Windows 7. It took us a couple of hours. Speaking of computers, did you get those speakers working?

I'm sorry to say, we're supposed to get an accumulation of the bad stuff for New Year's Eve.

I got a little cleaning done today then read the paper and took a nap. :)

I started to make Greg a cardinal with the "toy". It's not coming out like I want but it at least is starting to resemble a cardinal. He said he likes it and not a bad job for a string toy. :) Kind of fun. :)

It's been raining pretty much all day. Oh well, so much better than the s stuff. :)

Cyndie, they still make it but the stores around here don't seem to want to carry it anymore. Oh you can get it from Amazon if you want to pay for a 12 pack at $129. I think not! They don't sell the singles on there. :(

Yes, it seems that EVERY time SS gets a raise groceries, utilities and insurance goes up. It's like running in a rat race, every time you think you're going to win you meet faster rats!

I think those liquidation stores are pretty much a waste of space. LOL! We had an Ollie's outlet here several years back and it was nothing but junk. It only stayed for about 2 years, they weren't getting much business.

Susi, thanks for the info! I have been eating baby-cut carrots with my sandwiches. I do like your idea of cocktail rye. I wonder why no one is making it anymore. I would have thought the holidays would be the perfect time to find it!

That is so aggravating about Social Security! I know that will happen to me and Jimmy once we hit 65.

Nothing exciting went on around here today. A new liquidation store opened in town. I checked it out, but it was one of those places I don't have to go back to. Still, you never know until you go!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Cyndie, the regular baby swiss is okay too, not quite as mild but it's mild. We had to use the beefsteak rye before too and it's good. :) This time we ended up with pumpernickel rye.

I like to have fresh veggies along with it as a side. Baby carrots, celery sticks and what ever else we have. I make a dip out of a container of sour cream and a half pack of dry Italian dressing mixed together for the veggies. Then different kinds of crackers and cheeses so we can have a variety. Greg likes the little sweet gerkins to eat on the side too.

Bills are finished! :) Oh I really hate this and I knew it would happen. You get a raise in SS, but then the insurance goes up to pretty much take care of that! Not only did mine go up a good bit but Greg's did too. GRRR! Mine was this time for Jan, and Greg's will be for Feb.

Susi, getting the bills paid always feels good!

I've been meaning to ask you, did you ever get that cocktail rye that you wanted? Do you eat anything special with your cheese sandwiches?

When I went to the grocery store, I did buy some baby Swiss cheese and Beefsteak rye. I'm sure it's not as good Amish baby Swiss, but it was the best I could do!

Wishing you a wonderful evening!

Cyndie, I'm so glad you could get in and out at Best Buys so quickly! That was amazing for the day after Christmas! :)

I really should go to Aldi's. I was there years ago and never bothered again, don't know why just didn't. I'm glad you enjoyed the ham! :)

Yes, it was so wonderful and will be a nice memory sitting out yesterday. I can remember years back we swam on my mom's birthday in October after we got off work at 11 at night, I won't forget that one either. :)

Today I will finish paying some bills so I can have that out of the way. The ones left are due the 1st, and I do those online :)

Susi, you are so right about God and Jesus. People need to remember, God doesn't send anyone to hell. People end up there due to their choices!

I think that is so awesome that you were on your deck in your flip flops. Talk about a December to remember!

I'm happy that you enjoyed your ham. We got our ham from Aldi's. It was really good!

I had to go to Best Buy today. One of the DVD's that I bought for Jimmy was broken on the inside. I must say, I was in and out in a jiffy!

Enjoy your evening!

Picture me, on Dec. 26, with my t-shirt, sweats and flip flops on sitting in the sunshine on our deck swing!!!! Woohoo! It was so wonderful to be out there like that in the sun! I loved it!! :)

I did get a few things done in the house, did my exercises and had a nap. :) I told Greg we were having left overs tonight and if he didn't like it he could go to McDonald's. He got a good laugh from that one. I like to tease him. He loves that ham we get. :)

Susi, I'm happy that you had a good day today. As usual, I love Greg's latest creation! Other than that, I'm sorry to hear about his itch. How do you know it isn't shingles? I did get the shingles vaccines.

I'm happy that you two were able to nap. You deserved it! And speaking of deserving things, kudos to you for having snacks tonight!

Not too much went on around here today. I admit, I have whimped out so far on having Kim help me cook, so I did the prep work today.

Cyndie, if you're not here tomorrow, I want to wish you and the family a very Merry Christmas!

I did have a good day today, went and got the paper and got a card for Greg. I also got him some Benedryl cream for that annoying itch he has, it's not only bothering him but me too. Poor guy. Not sure what caused it but he broke out on his back, butt cheeks and sides with some kind of rash. Not shingles though.

I had a good nap this afternoon too and he's been napping for a good while. He hasn't been sleeping well because of the itch. :(

I'm ready for dinner for tomorrow. Tonight we're having snacks like we do on New Year's eve, his idea. We'll have summer sausage, cheese, crackers and the like. :) Makes it really easy on me! :)

Here is the picture of the bus he did. Kind of looks like the back window fell in as time time. He can fix that though. :) This is from around 1937 or so.

Missy, I'm glad to share my shopping tips with you! You know how we like to save money! I'm happy to hear that YC is on the mend! If you aren't able to get back here, we understand. And if that happens, we wish you a Merry Christmas!

Susi, you're right about the hand washing and the Lysol. I don't want to get sick for Christmas (or ever). It's too bad you weren't able to get those speakers to work. As for the cookies, that sounds smart to me!

Jimmy and I usually stay home for our anniversary. It was in the 50's here today. I did make it in and out of the grocery store. Some people were complaining because we aren't having a white Christmas, but I'm fine with that!

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

Hugs!

Thank you Missy, I like the snowman tree better too. :) That's why it's in the sunroom cause we spend most of our time out there. Hehe!

I cheated this year and bought Christmas cookies. I just don't feel like baking a bunch of cut outs anymore like we use to. Of course Greg would just as well have me make the sugar cookie dough and he'd eat it raw, he loves it. LOL!

The speakers could be too new but the other ones, the light still came on them and they wouldn't work, so I think it's the port messing up. I'll get over it. But thank him for the suggestion. And thank you too! :)

I'm so glad YC is doing so much better now! :) If you don't get back in till after Christmas have a very merry one!

Morning ladies! Happy Eve of the Eve!!! emoticon

Susi... Your trees look great!!! Very nice! I like them both, but of course I lean more towards the snowman tree! hee hee

Of course with decent weather Greg would be out playing with leaves?!! Hee hee. Well, hope he had fun! I guess and early Christmas "gift" for him... hee hee Hope you enjoyed your time!!!

The peanut clusters sound so yummy! Makes me crave some cookies and I don't know why, but I'm in the mood for no bake cookies. But I have NEVER made them. Probably the easiest cookies to make, but nope... never did. Enjoy helping Greg eat them... of course so he won't get sick from eating them all, hee hee.

Oh, I was thinking for your speakers... that Papabear says when a computer is older and the thing you are trying to attach to it is newer... now-a-days they don't work. Could it be your speakers are too new for your computer?!?

Auntie Cyndie... Penney's... I never think of shopping there for my jeans... hummm.... thanks!!! The price sounds good too!
emoticon

Jimmy will love all his gifts! Very nice of you!! He'll have all the full seasons at the new year! Great idea!!! You two doing anything special for your Anniversary?

Speaking of Jimmy, hoping he feels better REALLY soon! Lysol and washing hands!!! VERY important with staying healthy! Good luck!!! Hope he's better today!!!

How did your food shopping go this morning?

Susi, I forgot to say Ollie is gonna love his gifts from you! Another great choice!!

I had a full den these past days! It was very nice! Younger Cub is doing MUCH better! I think Friday was the start and continued through the weekend! He's still a little pale, but acting like his crazy self again, so that's good!

Each night we have watched Christmas movies. Last night was White Christmas. Younger Cub fell a sleep on it, but Older cub and PB watched it with me. We've seen... of course... It's A Wonderful Life (BEST movie EVER!), Christmas Carol, Elf, a new one... forgot the name... that Older Cub picked & it was good.

Our weather was warmer too yesterday! I LOVE it!!! Supposed to be like this for a couple days. I'll take it!!! I wore my dressy sandals to church!!!
emoticon

Hope you ladies have a good day! PB is working today, but will have the rest of the time off. The cubs are STILL sleeping, so thought I'd say good morning!

Merry Christmas ladies!!!

Cyndie, I have to save him from getting sick for Christmas somehow. Hehe!

I didn't have to get glasses until around 79. Kelly has had them since she was 3. :( Greg just got his about 10 years ago, he wears them when he's doing just about anything except watching tv, but does then when they have words on the screen too.

I hope Jimmy feels better soon. Get that Lysol out! :) Greg's been itching a lot and it's making him nuts. :(

Susi, you are such a good wife! Making peanut clusters for Greg, and then helping him eat them. They sound good!

You're lucky, I have to wear my glasses all the time. I've been wearing glasses since I was 12. On the other hand, my dad passed the eye exam for his license no glasses at 91.

Poor Jimmy has a cold. I hope he doesn't give it to me! And of course, I hope he feels better soon! Like you, I enjoyed my Sunday paper.

You will need luck shopping on Monday, but go early that should help. :)

This whole week is supposed to be in the 50's, then of course it starts heading back down. At least according to the internet we can have a week of decent weather. :)

Susi, your trees are beautiful! I'm happy that you put your glasses on. LOL That's good news that you were able to get in and out of Walmart. I'm planning to do my grocery shopping Monday morning. Wish me luck!

Like you, we had good weather today, and we're expecting good weather again tomorrow ( the first day of winter). It's too bad that we both know that it can't last!

Those air-fried hamburgers sound delicious!

Enjoy the last of your weekend!

Hugs!

It wasn't too busy at Walmart this morning but the check out lady was so slow. I had to kind of nicely tell her a couple of times to put more than one or two things in a bag. She must be temporary holiday help. But all is well and hopefully we won't have to go back till after Christmas now.

I ordered another wind up car for Ollie, this one is bigger and has a dinosaur on the top, Dawn said he likes them too. So I'm finished with him. :)

Greg finally put the wreaths up today. I was ready to tell him to just let it go now and he started before I said anything. :) So that's finished too and I'm ready now. :) He's out blowing some of the incoming leaves. :(

We got lucky today and it got to 51 out and the sun is shinning. :) Tomorrow it's supposed to be 55, now, when does the other shoe drop? :(

I tried again last night and finally got them. :) I did accidentally cut the head off my snowman topper and forgot to put the santa face on top of the other one so there is an empty place at the top. *sigh*

I thought the lights looked all fuzzy, but then I put my glasses on. LOL!

Missy, I wouldn't have asked, I would have told. LOL!

I'm glad YC is starting to feel better. Maybe it was the flu, was he tested for that? Main thing is he's feeling better and hopefully not a grumpy cub now. :)

Grocery today, yuck! We will go early to hopefully avoid any crazies, too close to Christmas and they will all be out. :( We had burgers in the fryer last night, and I really love them in it! :) Not sure what's for tonight yet.

Cyndie, Jimmy will love those games! It will keep him busy during these months when there isn't much else to do. :) If he's like Greg wanting to keep busy you'll be very happy with him playing. LOL!

I haven't tried the other thing yet for the speakers. I know I have them hooked in the right ports. My computer is pretty old and they may have just blown or something. :( I hate when I can't find a resolution to a computer problem. :(

Missy, I am happy to hear that you had a good time with your friends. You deserved it! As for you not eating Spark Friendly, I wouldn't worry about it. We all have to enjoy ourselves sometimes! I got my jeans at Penney's. They were $20. Great minds think alike!

Susi, I'm sorry that your speakers STILL didn't work. That's too bad that you weren't able to get your photos taken. We're still looking forward to them. It's great that you were able to get back to bed and get some quality rest!

The only reason I was willing to go to the mall was because I could go on a weekday and during the day. Jimmy is a big Game of Thrones fan. He had Season 1. I bought him Seasons 2 through 7 for Christmas. I'll probably give him Season 8 for our anniversary (January 1).

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

Hugs!

Hee hee, Susi... I couldn't ask Papabear to do the dishes because he was busy... working out doing floor exercises. I know, I know...
emoticon

So very sorry you had one of those days! And it wasn't even Friday the 13th. Hoping the speakers start working and all is good VERY soon! As for the pictures, maybe day lighting will be better... or if it was during the day, evening lighting. Thank-you for trying!

Younger Cub is getting better! He was up more today and as the day went on, you could tell! His appointment went good. They tested his strep and it's gone. Took a Mono test... so will find out probably Monday what that says. They gave him more meds to help it move a long, so that should help also. Looking better... fingers crossed! Thanks for the prayers...

Any fun plans for the weekend? How about foods to try in your air fryer?!? Hoping it's a good weekend for you ladies!

Once again I am apologizing for not posting the tree pictures. :( I finished them and went to take a pix, it wouldn't come out very good because of the light. You can't hardly see anything on it and the twinkles were kind of smearing. Then my phone shut off, needed charged. What a day!

I hooked up my new speakers and they didn't work either. I have one more thing I can try tomorrow and if they still don't then I know it's a computer problem. I just couldn't win today for anything. *sigh*

Missy, I'm happy for you being on vacation now! :) How was YC appointment? Okay, sales, birthday and Christmas money, coupons...It would be a cold day in he** before I'd even consider going in a store where jeans cost that much!

I do believe winter actually starts tomorrow..winter solstice. :)

That was so nice of you to watch the kid whose parents couldn't pay, but it would have been nice if they would have paid you back by now. Like I always say if someone is only paying $5 a month they are showing they want to make things right.

I knew you would have fun with the girls! :) Forget about eating badly, you can get any of it back off, I know you can, and besides, it was well worth it! :) I'm glad the gifts worked out so well, that's neat!

After a fun evening out I would have told PB to do the dishes before he went to bed. Even Greg will do that.

Morning ladies!!! Happy FRIDAY!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon
I'm SO ready for today!!! Vacation starts in 7 hours and 6 minutes!!! But who's counting...
emoticon

Auntie Cyndie... Congratulations!!! That's awesome you had to buy new jeans!!! Always nice to do!! Now you enjoy showing them off and feeling great in them! Where did you get them. I buy mine at Old Navy, but I'm a cheapo. My sister shops at a store where jeans are $200 and more!!! That's crazy!!! Of course she buys them, on sale & gets them with birthday, Christmas gift money she saved. But to me that's still crazy! I'm good with my $20 or below Old Navy jeans (and less if there is a really good deal going on, hee hee). I was just curious.

Hope Jimmy likes his gift. We don't watch that show, but know MANY who love it! Was it a Christmas gift, or just saw it for a good deal?!

You were brave going to the mall so close to Christmas. I'm sure this weekend the police will be out at ours to help traffic. I'm good with staying away right now!

Susi... 44, that';s crazy warm!!! ENJOY! That must be the warmth coming to us Sunday! Today's high is like 20. Right now, 10 degrees! I'm SO happy I work at home!!! But for you, time to crack the windows open... hee hee (just joking). Enjoy the Winter warmth!

Actually, isn't it still Fall?!! When does Winter start... doesn't it start tomorrow?!!?

House dresses... my Memere wore those, if I'm thinking of the right thing. Nice memory... thank-you!

As for that Mom and the door open. I have to shut it ALL the time with her. I have nicely said it, now I just reach around her. If she doesn't get it with me saying something and reaching around her, she's not going to get it. As for dealing with her and her son, I try to focus on the good... they pay me and mostly on time, she is a nice person, my friend who has the cancer sent her to me, so they are friends/coworkers... and as an over all person she does have a nice heart and means well. So I have had worst.

I think of the family who the dad lost his job, so I watched their son for about 8 month, with out any pay to help them! They owned me OVER $800. I'd say about 4/5 years back they actually started to send me money every few months. So they paid about the $400 back and then it stopped. Guess I should be happy with that. It was a lesson learned. It's hard when you try to be nice and help people out. Makes you scared the next time, but you want to help... Anywho, water under the bridge. I moved on.

Last night it was great seeing my girlfriends! I ate VERY badly, but it was yummy! They always want to go to the Olive Garden. And I always have the Angel Hair with their meat sauce. Usually I would take half home, but not last night. I have no bread sticks, and usually two small servings of salad. I have just water to drink. BUT since it was one friend's birthday, we got a free dessert. They like the zeppoli. I have just one... but they don't like the chocolate sauce it comes with, so I usually eat that all! hee hee. (They like the raspberry sauce). Yeah, I was naughty.

BUT it was great exchanging gifts, catching up, and just hanging with the girls!!! One girl just moved, so she had a lot to talk about. The other keeping busy with her life, and me talking about my life... hee hee. As for gifts, the birthday girl loved what I got her. I got a cup that you can keep soups, etc warm in... can microwave in... and some package to make homemade soup (got at Home Goods). Then I got her some snowmen towels and a bar of soap. I didn't realize she loved snowmen as much as I (and Susi) do, so that was awesome. And the soap I got because it said "happy birthday" soap, but I liked the smell. Well it ended up being Lemon grass and that is her favorite too!

Then for Christmas gifts... I got them the same thing... it was two hand creams (sleep & peaceful) from Bath & Body Works and a super soft throw blanket. They loved the hand cream and one LOVES holly and that is what was on the blanket. I love when gifts are the perfect match. To be honest, these that were perfect were just pure luck, but I was so happy they were!!!

I love just hanging out with those two ladies and so happy for their friendships! They both are older than me, but I feel God puts people in your life for a reason. They are blessings to me!

Anywho, so that was my night out. Came home to a just getting back from the gym Papabear and a watching The Office younger cub. I guess they had scrambled eggs together, so I should be happy about that?!!? aaaggghhhh.... Don't worry, they kept the mess for me to clean.
emoticon

Hope you ladies have a good day. I'll be back later.

Missy, we're actually supposed to have a heat wave today at 44 with sunshine. :) I will be loving that! :) Bummer you have to put real shoes on. :(

I understand YC getting grumpy from being sick. You can ask Greg, he gets so annoyed with me when I'm sick cause I grouch at him like crazy, I just want to be left alone. I was always like that though.

Jammie day sounds fun for the kids. :) Nope, I love my jammies but no one else needs to see them out of the house! I think it's really crazy they do that. It's one thing for kids but not adults. Oh well.

Cyndie, it was really great snuggling back in bed yesterday morning. :) I went to sleep and slept for 4 more house, it was nice! :)

No, you are not alone in not getting dressed up at home now. :) Believe it or not I even know many others who don't either. And a few who wear the "old fashioned" house dresses around. :)

Congratulations on the baggy butt jeans! That is awesome! :) You are moving right along! I like wearing baggy things, makes me look like I lost a lot of weight. LOL!

Missy, you literally are too sweet! I would have to tell that lady that I need to keep my house warm for the kiddos and/or I REALLY can't afford to pay to let the heat escape. As for your cub, we know you'll keep us posted!

Susi, how was going back to bed and snuggling? And I'm happy to hear that I'm not the only one who doesn't dress up now that she's retired! There was another lady at Bible Study in a Christmas sweater, so that was nice.

I did get to the mall today. I bought Game of Thrones, season 8 for Jimmy. I didn't have any luck finding a gym suit, but I did get myself a pair of jeans. I'm proud to say, the butt of my old ones was baggy!

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

Hugs!

Good afternoon ladies...

hee hee... I have the radio on and they put the background music on for telling the weather and traffic, but no one is talking! Been doing this for 3 minutes so far! Ooops, hee hee

I hate when the weather is cold like this! Guess I have to put on REAL shoes tonight, haa haa. No flip flops for sure!
emoticon

Can't wait to see your trees! And I know many who don't decorate the whole back of the trees, so you are not a lone there! I'm sure it's fine and it's just you because you know!

At Ollie's age, I'm sure most toys he'd love. You can't really go wrong. But the cars will be a win! They are fun, and easy to sit across the room sending them back and forth. Children love that! Great choice!

The wind picked up today, so it had to be colder out there! Right now it's 18 and they said it's going to be around 6 or 7 tonight! Fun. NOT!!!

I really don't know why he wasn't tested for mono last time, but I told him to ask tomorrow. I think he's so sick of it all that he's now getting grumpy! Great, two grumpy guys in the house... and right before Christmas! Maybe I need to get more coal?!! hee hee

Thursday is done, work wise, so just one more day!!! Can't wait! One Mom is doing Jammie day at school, so she suggested it for tomorrow for the kiddos, so guess what I'm wearing tomorrow! I'll have to change after they leave though, because I have to go to the bank and pay a bill too. I'm NOT one of those people who wear PJ's out of the house... even if they are super cute Frosty pants!
emoticon emoticon

Off to get ready for my dinner. I'm so ready for girly time!!!
TTFN ladies! Have a good evening!

Missy, you need to tell that mom to please come in and close the door, it's cold. :) You can say that nicely. :) Although why would you want to. LOL!

It wasn't colder than yesterday but it was at least just as cold, except for early morning, it was 2 out before I crawled back into bed.

I did get the snowman tree finished today but still have to put the skirts under them. I promise I'll do my best to get a pix tomorrow sometime. :) I didn't put any on the back since it was in the corner, so you can kind of see through it in places. :( I'll get over it though. LOL! I just didn't want to pull it back out after I asked Greg to go ahead and corner it.

Thank you for letting me know the cars will be good. :) Dawn said he liked them but I didn't know anything about them before this. It's nice having you to let me know how much they do like them. :) Back in the day when Trent was his age, we got him a Teddy Ruxpin. :) He liked hearing him talk.

You can only tell PB so much about the things you've learned here, but he's going to do what he's going to do until it messes with him too much. Maybe try to get him to join Sparks so he can see for himself? I doubt he will though. But it would be worth the try, maybe???

Our home gets a little cold when it gets below 25 out. We have the heat pump and it isn't efficient that low. That's why it gets cold in here. If we turn it up anymore we would probably need assistance to pay the bill. LOL!

I know you will enjoy your time with the girls tonight. :) Have fun!

Maybe YC should be tested for mono. I sure hope his doc will fix him so he's better fast.

Good morning ladies!
It's 19 degrees out, but feels like 7 with our wind chill right now! Happy to be inside! Annoyed with one parent though. She comes in when dropping off or picking up and stands with the door open! I have to push her out of the way to shut it and there isn't even a sorry or anything. She's the one who is late each day... and YES, was 15 minutes late yesterday too (if you talk about the original time she said she'd always pick up at, she was 30 minutes late really!) I did get a "sorry" yesterday with a laugh... "I got into talking to my co-workers"... then explained how they were talking about Christmas. I wasn't my friendly self, but don't think she caught on... ggggrrrr.

ANYWAYS, sorry!

Susi... I didn't get a reminder about the game, so thought no one was playing anymore. I went and did it. Thanks!

Glad Greg was a good guy and did the errands in the cold for you! I hate cold! Hoping the gas station lady was wrong too!

The cardinal light pull sounds nice! A good reminder of all the family you loss. Nice you have some on your other tree, so Greg is good and the snowman tree will stay all snowmen!!! Love it!!

YES, Ollie will love those cars! Always a hit here at the day care too! I think you can never go wrong with cars and moving toys. Kids love that! Can't wait to see pictures!!!

Thank-you for what you said about the shoveling. I agree, but feel bad at times, so when I can help, I don't mind. But when I don't get the help and could really use it... like yesterday... I get annoyed with him. Coming out RIGHT at the end, is like a teenager would do and he hated the cub's doing that.

What I learnt is if it's not something PB wants to do these days, it's a struggle. He has his mind set on one thing (working out) so that is all he puts his energy into. Again, it's a good thing, but too much... in my opinion... becomes an obsession and that is never good!

I asked him to go a week and NOT weigh himself EVERYDAY. This morning I caught him on the scale. He said he was being good, but I now know he wasn't. He gets depressed with the scale going up and down. So I said weigh in ONCE a week. He said he went two days and then weighed himself.

He may workout and go to the gym like crazy, but if you are not eating right, the scale is going to stay the same or fluctuate like it does for him. I might not go to the gym, but I watch what I eat and when I go up it's during my TOM. Last month was bad with having my TOM for a month, but I still did not keep gaining. Anywho, Thank-you for caring ladies (about the shoveling)... very much appreciated!
emoticon
(sorry for the rant again)

Auntie Cyndie... What a nice touch wearing the Christmas vest to your last Bible study. Glad you had a nice time. At least you know it's coming back, so that is good! Something to look forward too.

You looking forward to Kim coming for Christmas?!? Have you talked to her about helping with the cooking?!? Hoping she does and you all have a great time together!!!

I forgot, will you see your parents around Christmas?!?
I also know the 1st of January is your Anniversary. Doing anything special?!? How many years will it be?

Susi... funny you said it was so cold in the house this morning... Papabear and I thought the same thing! I heard the heat on and our room was really warm all night, but when I came into the main area, the house felt cold!!! I was so hot last night I had no blankets on me... PB too, so it wasn't a hot flash.
emoticon emoticon emoticon

I'm excited for tonight... Girls Night out with my two girlfriends! One of them, it was her birthday last week, so we are celebrating that, and exchanging Christmas gifts. Always nice just seeing them both! And YES, Papabear will be going to the gym all night...ggggrrrr... I wish he would hang out with Younger Cub. I know he's still sick, but they could still hang, talk, etc.

Speaking of YC, one of my day care moms said that he probably has Mono (sp?) and his strep! I thought they tested him for both, but they didn't! Tomorrow is his follow up appointment, but last night PB said I should get him in today! Will one day make a difference?!? He sounds awful and with the 102. whatever fevers just make me think it's more too. Hoping he gets answers and help tomorrow! I'll sit him down and go over ALL he should ask and say there tomorrow, since I can't go. Fingers crossed!!!

Hoping you ladies have a good day! I'll check in later. Have to go feed the kiddos. TTFN

Cyndie, I bet that vest was pretty! :) About the only time anymore I dress up is for weddings and funerals. I'm okay with that too. When I'm home I live in my sweats and t-shirts or jammies. Greg probably wonders if I'll ever get dressed. LOL!

I don't think it will get as cold today as the gal at the gas station told Greg but it's cold again. Right now it's only 12 out and all day we will have wind chills. At 4 will be our highest with a wind chill of 24.

I'm hoping to finish the snowman tree today and get the wreath up. I want Greg to do the one wreath outside of his window. He moved his bed around a while back and it barely goes on the window, but enough I can't tilt it in. So he has to do that one on a ladder. :(

It's even a little cold in the house this morning. :( My bad hand, which is my mouse hand is really cold. My other one is okay though. I'm going back to bed and snuggle in under the comforter! :)

Missy, I have to agree with Susi! I'm sure this will make me sound old, but with your TOM problems, I don't think it's good for your "parts" to be shoveling like that. We all know it's hard to tell guys things, but we need to have balance in all parts of our lives. Going to the gym so much that you don't get to your home life doesn't cut it!

Susi, I'm happy to hear that you stayed out of Walmart. We all know that the closer we get to Christmas, the more it should be avoided! I'm sure Ollie will have fun playing with his wind-up cars. When it comes to your Christmas trees, after all of that work, I'm glad they get to stay up a little longer for Ollie to enjoy! Good job on pacing yourself!

I had a nice time at Bible study today. My mom gave me a Christmas vest when we were there at Thanksgiving, so I wore that. Now that I don't work, I don't have a lot of places to wear stuff like that. Of course, I'm fine with that! We had snow flurries today. I was happy that they didn't stick! It's cold here, though. Our wind chill has it knocked down to 17.

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

Hugs!

Missy, you fell off the alphabet game for a while.

I put chili in the crockpot this morning and it sure smells good! Making me so hungry. LOL! Of course I always am anyway. LOL!

Greg went to get the paper this morning and made a run to Walmart. I stayed in! We've had a wind chill all day and right now it's still only 16 with the chill. :( The gal at the gas station told Greg to tell me to stay in tomorrow too she said it was supposed to be even colder. I didn't want to hear that! :(

I did get the lights on the snowman tree but I'll do the rest tomorrow. I just can't seem to go at it as long as I use to. :( We do have about 5 cardinal ornaments that I put on the other tree in the living room. :) Greg got a special one last year and he keeps it in the sunroom hanging from one of the lamp things that turn it on. Shucks, I don't know what you call them, a little knob I guess. LOL!

I'm glad the kids aren't messing with your tree now. I ordered Ollie some wind up cars for Christmas so he'll probably be having too much fun with them. Dawn said he loves them, you push them a little then they go a little on their own. I also finally ordered me some new computer speakers, never did get mine to work. :( And thank you for keeping Dawn in your prayers. :)

PB shouldn't be working out that much, it's actually not good for him, but you can't tell some men that. I'd say if he really wanted to go that was fine but he has to work on home projects too, tired or not!

I know you help outside on things but I really don't think you should be shoveling like that. It would be another thing to tell him that if he wanted the drive clear to get in and out he needed to do it. I'm sorry, I honestly don't think that women should have to do it unless it's an emergency or they are alone. I've done it years past a few times for Greg but it was because I actually wanted to and not because I felt I had to, now way could I do it now.

I hope I didn't offend you. I just want you to be safe.

Morning ladies! Happy Wednesday. That mean Bible Study for Auntie Cyndie and our day to pray for our family and friends in need! Praying for you all also!!!
emoticon

Auntie Cyndie... Enjoy your last Bible study till the new year! Glad you will be getting back to it after the new year starts. So it's not like it's totally ending, right?!? Have fun today!

The Christmas party we went to last Sunday had beans and it was very yummy. We hadn't had them in a while. Glad you enjoyed your dinner Auntie!

Glad your snow melted. Due to the rain we had days before this storm, I was seeing my grass again. It was nice. Now back to white. It's all cleaned up, so no more till Late January February would be nice... hee hee. My Mom was under a tornado watch last night. They are okay!

Susi... Have fun with your snowman tree! I love it too. Can't wait to see a picture. You know, you could always add some cardinals to the snowman tree. I have seen some that clip on the branches. The red and white would be nice. At least a couple to think of your Daddy...
emoticon

I'll love to hear how Ollie does with your tree. I have 8 months to 4 year olds here each day and the two I have had to say NOT to touch was the 4 and 2 year old! The rest might of pointed once or twice, but I said "don't touch" and they haven't. They crawl/walk over to it and just look. It's cute! Oh wait... the 8 month did take Joseph from the creche, but that was because the 4 year old was pointing to it with her. She hasn't touched since. I'm sure he'll listen. Ollie has good parents!

I forgot to say, I think... I'm praying for Dawn!!!

You know, the only thing that I can see that has changed for Papabear is going to the gym... and he goes daily and sometimes more than once a day. I know it's good for him, but he's pushing other things aside. He gets like this and everything revolves around the gym. Then he gets burnt out and stops going. So what good was it in a way?!!

When he comes home and shoveling, or finishing up the house projects HE started gets pushed because he went to the gym at lunch and then wants to go after dinner for HOURS. To me is not good. 7 days a week! You need that rest. And he should know by now that IF he starts a project of my liking, you have to finish it!!! hee hee

Last night he fell a sleep on me on the couch again. I woke him up as I got up to get ready for bed and he was like "why do I keep doing this". I was kind when answering him... but really?!!? I did joke and say he's getting old and that happens, hee hee. Next month is his birthday...

Anywho, no curtains went up last night, but he started finishing the driveway last night... then stopped and guess who did it all this morning... YES, ME!!! He came out right when I was just about done and he cleared his car and shovels a bit. But like I said, I had it all done mostly already. I just kept saying... good exercise for me, right?!! At least it was light snow this time.

There I go... babbling on and on... sorry ladies!
7 days (counting today) till Christmas! I think my excitement is coming back! I love serving at mass, and I am. So happy about that. Christmas Eve will be at my MIL's, not my SIL's, so PB and the cubs are happy. And my Cubs will be home and we'll all be together. It'll be great! Oh yeah... and I'm on VACATION in two/three (counting today) days!
emoticon emoticon

Hope you all have a BLESSED day! emoticon emoticon

Cyndie, the only tree Kelly puts up is a light up ceramic one. I like a tree in the front window and in the sunroom because we are out there the most, so it gets the most decorations. :) I have a light up wreath and it goes in the stairwell because you see it when you come in and coming down the hall.

Ollie will probably want to play with the stuffed Christmas critters I put on the tree. LOL!

Good on going back to the gym. It's kind of a bummer about the last Bible study but also good in another way. :)

Now you have me hungry for ham and bean and johnny cakes. :) But I think today will be chili. :)

Missy, did you end up getting a lot of snow? I admit, when I looked out yesterday and saw the snow, I decided to let Jimmy go to the gym by himself. Did Papa Bear apologize? I loved the OC story!

Susi, I really admire you for doing two trees. All I do is one tabletop one. I think it's great that you'll keep them up after the New Year for Ollie. He is at that perfect age where he's just beginning to get Christmas.

It was a sunny day here today. The snow melted, so I decided to go back to the gym. Tomorrow is my last Bible Study of the year. I'm looking forward to it. We had beans and cornbread for supper.

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

Hugs!

Missy I sure hope the kids straightened up today. Yikes on having to have the talk with them, but if it helped it was well worth it.

What on earth is up with PB now days? He isn't usually like that so much is he? Makes me wonder if he's not feeling good or something and is holding it back. I sure hope not but it sounds like maybe time for a one on one with him about it? I sure hope he snaps out of it for you.

I'm glad YC has the appointment, but so sorry you couldn't go with him. I'm sure they will give him something to get him better quicker. At least he's trying to get better. :)

I did finish the living room tree today and tomorrow I'll start on the snowman tree. I didn't take a pix yet. Greg said I should make the sunroom one a Cardinal tree. Sorry, the snowman tree stays! LOL! He keeps it up and I will finish making him a squirrel tree even if I have to buy all the ornaments for it. LOL!

Chicken in the crockpot for supper tonight.

aaaggghhhh... I'm assuming the children are naughty and just being crazy due to a week before Christmas! Just NOT in the mood today! Just not listening and doing everything they know they are NOT supposed to do! GGGGRRRR!

Breathe... relax... okay...

So last night Papabear was grumpy, but productive! I was super kind even though I wanted to scream at him! hee hee We did get the closet bar up for clothes, the dresser up in the room, and their TV on the wall. Looking good. We were about to do the curtains when Grumpy blamed me for losing the hardware. I have seen the bars and I removed the old curtains from them, but the hardware was never with them!

I got the "they were" " you had to have moved them"" you lost them". Yeah I was tired and annoyed too! I just said forget it and I started vaccuuming the room and cleaning up. He turned on the game and sat and watched for like 5 minutes. Then went downstairs and guess who came up with the hardware?!! GGGRRR! MEN! By that time Younger Cub as ready to sleep, so I said forget it.

This morning he said he'd put them up tonight. hee hee... guess who's feeling bad for being a jerk! He's definitely earning that coal!!! I'll be SO happy when it's all done!

Yesterday, after Older Cub got up, ate 4 eggs, showered for an hour (hee hee) and beautified himself he decided to go up north then, since the storm was coming. He went to our old Priest's new church till Wednesday. He's going to help him set up Christmas trees in the three church's he's a pastor at. They are small towns, so don't have much help. He pays him, so it's all good. Just now it's sicko and me for shoveling/snowblowing till PB comes home...aaahhhhh....

Younger Cub isn't sounding better, but his eyes look better, so I have hope! He does have an appointment Friday to check in. I hope it's at a time I can go to and see how he's doing and what they say. Just asked... it's at 1:30pm, so I can't go. Hoping he's better soon! Poor guy!

Okay, I need to get back to the children. Just in these few minutes typing I have had to stop to discipline them all... it's one of those days! Vacation time... I'm ready!!!

Have a good day ladies! emoticon

Good morning ladies! Guess what... it's snowing!!! emoticon emoticon
Happy Tuesday?!!??

They said it's gonna be bad, but they did not cancel school because it just started like 5 minutes ago (8:45am). It's collecting fast! This will be interesting. Will they do early dismissal? Will parents be mad they didn't just cancel? Will we only have 2-3 inches when Buses will have to drive?!? We'll see...
emoticon

Susi... I forgot to mention about how good you did with the toys. Paw Patrol is VERY big and loved by all young children. That's a win win for sure! Have fun shopping...

It's a good reason to keep your trees up after new years day! Ollie will love seeing them! Don't forget to post pics of your trees for us to see! Take it slow doing tree number two, and enjoy!

I'm like you about Chocolate, like you are about cheese, hee hee. At least one Lindt or Dove a day. I know it's bad, but it's so good! hee hee. Enjoy your cheese Mousie!!!

Can't wait to see the bus! You will have to build that new room the way Greg is going, hee hee. Glad he's having fun, and I'm enjoying seeing them! Keep them coming Greg!

The snow falling makes me want a hot cocoa, my blanket, Frosty, and some funny or sappy love story movie! Oh, speaking of that... Auntie Cyndie, I saw... I think it was last Saturday sadly... that Griffin/Matt Cohen from GH, was in a Hallmark movie called "Holiday Date". I'm gonna have to look that one up and watch it. Bummed I saw it last night that I missed it.

Auntie Cyndie... hope you didn't get too much snow. But sounds like you missed going to the gym, but still kept with a work out (doing your house work). hee hee I did mine yesterday too! Hope you are able to get to the gym today... and hope the snow wasn't too bad!

I have to do changes... someone stinks... and snackie time. But I'll be back right after! TTFN...

Cyndie, my favorite thing to do when there is snow out there is to stay in and do anything at all. LOL! Or nothing at all. LOL!

Hopefully I can finish the one tree today and start on the other one. I usually take them down on New Year's day but I'll need to leave it up a while longer because of the kids coming on the 3rd. That's okay it will break my tradition, but it will shake up the routine. :)

Greg's already making good progress on his bus. He's excited about it. :)

Susi, I just LOVE Greg's latest project! I agree with Missy, we are all fortunate that cars have come so far! I'm proud of you for learning about toddler toys! Look how smart you'll be by the time the new baby gets here. I'm praying for Dawn! That cheese sounds good!

Missy, I was hoping that by you having TWO working snow throwers, that would keep the snow away! I'm happy for you that the Bear Den is full, but sorry to hear about Younger Cub. I hope he feels better soon! It's good that progress is being made on the trim!

When I said we would have Christmas on Wednesday, I meant Christmas Day. And yes, it will be the usual, opening presents, eating and playing games. We got snow here today, so I skipped the gym and stayed home and cleaned the house.

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

Hugs!

Missy right now it's raining out. :( It will probably be slick or slushy by morning. Greg went to get the paper and stamps this morning and he said the roads were okay. :)

I did work on one tree today after I finished cleaning. I'll have to finish that one tomorrow. I got too tired, did too much stuff. I'm pooped!

We thought the side seat was pretty funny too. LOL! I guess they only made about 15 of those and that was it. Anyone who may still have one has a goldmine in their pocket. Today he started an old city bus we use to have. They haven't run for years now, but at some point we both used it. :) He also is thinking about a vintage tow truck.

I will get pictures when the kids come in Jan. :) Yes, she is having a good bit of pain and it breaks my heart that she is. :( I wish I could at least take half of it for her if not all of it.

The cheese would be good on any kind of bread, but I do love it on rye. :) Maybe wheat or potato bread? Of course Greg calls me a cheese hound I have to have at least some every single day. :)

I got a really good belly laugh about them eating take out. ROFL! Thank you, I needed that! :) Yea, I would put a bunch of it in savings. I doubt I would even re-do my kitchen. Of course it would be kind of fun to have another room built on the house. Hehe! Maybe one special place that Greg can put ALL the stuff he builds, like the clocks and the cars. Hehe!

So with 2 blowers working the cubs can each have one and do a race to see who finishes the fastest. Hehe! I do hope YC gets to feeling better soon or at least gets something for that throat and fever. I hope OC gets PB to finish the room for them. He probably doesn't feel guilty about pushing him. :)

Good morning ladies....

Susi... first off emoticon emoticon emoticon
I understand how you feel about the snow and mix! We have it coming Tuesday! They are saying 3 to 6 for us and then turning to a mix. GROSS!!! Sorry you got it too!

On a happier note, have fun with decorating your tree! Don't forget to post pics! I hate the lights and what I give Papabear (& Older Cub) to do, but he usually just crushes the branches, so I have a lot of fixing to do after. Not sure if that is better, hee hee.

Love Greg's new car project! The seat is so funny! Can you imagine?!! I can see Date night and the girl in her pretty dress in that side car. HOLD ON!!! hee hee So glad the cars have come a long way since then! Great job Greg! What's next?

Hope Dawn is okay and not in too much pain! Is that due to her surgery she had?!?
So you are seeing Only in the new year?!? That's great!!! Again, don't forget pictures!!!

The cheese sound good, but I'm not like you ladies. I'm not a rye girl. Never cared for it. More for you ladies (wink) Enjoy!

As for the kitchen, that's just crazy!!! I can't believe how some people are with spending money! If I got that inheritance, maybe I would of redone the kitchen, but not to that extreme. Most would go into the bank!!! As for the fridge... I see more that could break and more money to fix! AND the way they make stuff now... it WILL break! Hope she enjoys it all... time will tell with if it makes her cook more. At least they'll have a nice stove and fridge to look at when eating that take out, if not. hee hee

We are ALL in agreement about Wal-Mart! We stopped in for fish food Saturday morning and it was crazy! Hate it! Glad we made it out safely!!! aaahhhhh....

Auntie Cyndie... Have fun celebrating Christmas with Kim on Wednesday... This Wednesday?!? What will you guys do? A special meal? Play games? hang out? Have fun whatever you do!!!

Are you heading to see your parents for Christmas? Did I miss that? It is too bad about Kim not going too. I agree with Susi, she will feel bad when it's too late. But not much you can do. Sorry. I look back now and wish I spent more times visiting my Memere. When she lived in the home, i was just afraid to go a lone. Wish I asked PB to go with me. Oh well... can't go back. But at least I did go and I'm happy I did!!! Miss her!

Auntie... we had the rain all Friday night into Saturday. Papabear was afraid of the basement, but it was warm enough, so the pump was working and pumping! Hope you were okay with your rain!

They are saying freezing colds these next days and with wind chills, feeling in negative numbers! SO NOT looking forward to this. And the snow coming, that'll make it hard for clean-up of the snow in that cold! PB did get the second snowblower working this weekend too, so we SHOULD be good... fingers crossed! I also have both cubs home, so I should be safe to be indoors!!! hee hee

Sadly Younger Cub with his Strep is not doing any better! But on day care mom just told me it gets worst before it's better. I'm glad he has a follow up on Friday. He went to bed last night with a 102 fever and he didn't have a sore throat and as the weekend went on, he got one. He also just slept all weekend! Hoping he's better REALLY soon! Poor guy!

Older cub is now home. Good to have a full house again! His reaction to the room was just as Younger Cubs. I'm sure when it's "done" they'll like it?!!?? hee hee As long as they have a bed to sleep in I think they are happy.

PB did get most of the trim done... around the room, doors and windows. He got the new shades up too, so just need to get my curtains up. It should be soon and with Older Cub home, maybe the TV will go up on the wall and fixing my idea I did, hee hee. OC will get PB to finish it! hee hee.

Okay, well I started this post at 7:45am and now it's 9:30am. Guess I should get back to my job. I also, with a busy weekend, did not clean the house so want to do that. We had our family Christmas Party Sunday and that is my food shopping and cleaning day. I did stop to get the essential food items we needed, but need to finish that too... hee hee. Okay, TTFN ladies! Have a good day!

I would say good morning but .... Blah! I woke up to 3 inches of that disgusting white stuff. This afternoon we may start getting some freezing rain too. Pbltttttttttttt!

After I clean today I will finish decorating the Christmas tree finally. Greg will help but he hates putting the lights on, that's okay I don't like him messing with them. LOL!

I talked to Dawn last night and she has a hiatial hernia. :( She will have to see about a surgery on that but not for a while yet. The kids are coming for Christmas on Jan. 3rd. That's okay with me. :)

I also got ideas for Ollie, he loves something called Paws Patrol, dinosaurs, of course Mickey Mouse and some kind of car or truck that you push and when you let go of it it goes on it's own for a small distance, kind of like a wind up without winding. I just don't keep up with kids toys now days but it sounds like I better start. LOL!

It's sure not within mine Cyndie. :)

The cheese is Amish Baby Swiss. It's so mild and delicious and has the good swiss flavor! :) Fantastic with the rye and mustard! :)

Speaking of Greg's projects, this is his 1920 ish Paige Sport Roadster with side seat. The seat for the extra passenger was actually on the outside of the car.

Susi, since I haven't inherited a pile of money, I guess an ostentatious kitchen isn't within my grasp. LOL

I like cheese sandwiches on rye with mustard. I used to take them with me for lunch a lot when I What is the flavor of this Amish cheese? Inquiring minds MUST know. LOL

You're right, there was no need for me to take a chance catching a cold going to the mall. We already know I put myself at risk by going to the gym. LOL

I can understand your needing to go to Walmart for printer ink. After all, you have to keep printing pictures so Greg can keep up his projects. TeeHee

Enjoy the last of your weekend!

Cyndie, the word I have to use for that kitchen is ostentatious. "IF only" it makes her cook more. LOL! Still isn't worth it to me.

We do love that cheese. The hard part if finding the cocktail rye we like to use with it. Seems like no one want to carry it anymore, but we make due and get a couple of them when we do find them. It's great with mustard. :)

I wouldn't even have entertained the idea of going to Walmart yesterday if I didn't need the printer ink. Mine is still usable because I don't change it the second it says it's low, it's a waste if you do, but you just never know when it will completely run out.

I'm glad you didn't go out in the rain, not worth catching a cold over, and they were probably really busy too. The weather is nuts here too. Our high is only 34 today with a 90% chance of snow, then all day tomorrow it's a mix then back to snow. I hate it! :(

Susi, I am REALLY IMPRESSED to hear about Kelly's new kitchen! maybe it will inspire her to cook more. LOL As for you, I'm happy that you got your cheese. It sounds good!

As for Walmart, it doesn't sound good! I know that's one of the reasons we try to stay out of the stores on the weekend! I'm happy to hear that your breathing is better!

It was one of those days here where the temperature dropped all day. I was going to risk the mall to look for a gym suit, but it started to rain, so I dropped that idea!

Enjoy your weekend!

Every year Kelly helps someone at the school sell Amish cheese. I always get a big wheel of baby swiss, it is sooooo good! Anyway it was in so Kelly texted me this morning and said I I wanted to come pick it up we could see her kitchen. They recently had it completely re-done.

Well, it is every woman's dream kitchen, expensive beyond belief, very beautiful! But, I would never in my wildest dreams pay as much as they did for everything! They got one of those big fridges that has the internet on the front door, it has little cameras inside that you can text to it and it will show you a pix of what you have in there and it will text you if you're running low on something. GAAK!

The oven is really fancy with an air fryer/microwave and oven and a stove top that has 5 burners on it...get this, they stop for take out or eat out more than she cooks at home! I guess if you get an inheritance as much as they did from his mom you have money to throw away. But I got my cheese!!! :)

After that we went to Walmart cause I was low on printer ink. It looked like someone kicked over and anthill. People were letting their kids run wild, blocking the isles, bumping in to you. That made me irritated and then my breathing started messing up. It was quite an adventure. :(

So much better now though. :) I just needed to rest and breathe. :)

It's hard to believe that people actually wanted pix of their kids crying with Santa. I guess it is cute though if it's natural.

It's such a shame that Kim won't go to your parents with you. :( Unfortunately there will be the day that she'll wish she did even if it was only a time or two. I hope you can get her to cook with you. :)

I can be flexible on when we celebrate, but not on the food, that has to be traditional. LOL! Greg will finally get the decorations out for me today and I can start putting them up. Much longer and it will be Christmas Eve before they get done. LOL!

Susi, I'm so happy that you don't need your oxygen machine right now. That has to be a good feeling! I saw a story on TV today about people who wanted a photo of their kid crying with Santa. I thought of Ollie!

Missy, what is this $1.62 dip from Walmart? I must get some! And I agree with Susi, it's not selfish to want to spend time with your cubs. I hope that the Bear Family is able to get YC's room to everyone's liking!

We will celebrate Christmas with Kim on Wednesday. I would be willing to be more flexible, but Jimmy is a traditionalist. Once again, I will try to get her to cook with me.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

Hugs!

Thank you Missy. :) I remember it at the beginning of the month when you post them then I forget all about it. LOL! I'm glad I came here too and met you all! :)

No word on my machine today but I'm okay with that. :) He'll call when it comes in.

My first instinct is to tell him if you don't like your room, do it yourself. LOL! Maybe that would have gotten a little more out of YC. :) I can't believe PB is talking about more projects and he hasn't even finished what needs done. That would be a big no! I know he's a good man, but he sure has his times. :(

I'm glad the party went well considering not many came. Sometimes a smaller group is more fun. Hehe! Glad you got the cocoa back though. :) I knew everyone would love the food you made!

I hope the mom picked the girls up on time. No, it isn't selfish of you wanting to spend time with YC and maybe work on the room. I hope you charge over time when they come late at least.

HUG!

God Bless and Hugs!

Hang in there!
