So, as if breaking up with Jazmin isn't enough, Rocky may be losing his job. He will know in a few days. He has worked his butt off with this company and has done a great job. There was one project that he worked on that the client didn't like and they couldn't get around the tastes of the client. Another project he was thrown on that didn't do good, but that was because of his boss. So, his boss is thinking of downsizing. Rocky should have a little seniority, but his boss is being a jerk and is a horrible manager. So, he gave Rocky a month to do good. Every project he worked on during that month went great and clients were happy. So, we thought for sure everything was fine. When he had his conference call, he wouldn't give Rocky a definite answer. He said he had to talk it over with the co-owner and he would let him know in a few days. This is just crazy. He's had a couple of people from work tell him not to worry, but he's worry. I told him to update his resume just in case. He has tons of contacts from all the conferences that he's attend. He's been reaching out to them. He has a couple of guys trying to help him. One person who is really interested is in San Diego. I don't know what we are going to do. I can barely think straight right now to work my job.

What a weather filled day today! It's been bright and sunny and then dark and stormy. No matter where I've gone today, I've found sun and rain. Asher looked at me when he heard the thunder and I said, "We're having a storm." And he walked on, as if to say, "Oh yeah, that's what it is." He was so funny.

I wore knee braces when I tore my meniscus while I was in physical therapy. Oh boy did that help! Now that my knees are strong again, I don't need the braces. Hope yours helps, Barbara.

I did get to the library today and found three of the books on my list. That's wonderful that you all have so many books, Kathy. My sisters and I used to bring all our books at Christmas time and swap them with each other. We had such fun doing that.

I'm glad Rocky has the opportunity to go on a retreat in TN, Lainie. He'll have a great time. And, it will give his mind something else to think about. I hope Jazmin has stopped calling.

Have a great evening everyone!

Barb, it sounds as if you do need a brace that will hopefully help keep your knee from going out...I am glad you are still going to therapy and glad that it does help you. Hope it goes well today. Reese's is still stealing shoes and anything he can get if we aren't watching him every minute. This morning, I had my sourdough bread rising so I could make loaves. He came into the family room just enough for me to see him and he had pulled the towel from the big bowl, and luckily the bowl did go crashing onto the floor. He has stolen my shoe a couple of times today, but he doesn't chew on things...I think b/c we catch him as soon as he gets it. He does stop running with whatever he has (most of the time) and wait for you to get to him. When you get there, and put your hand on the item and say release, he gives it right away. We have given him a pig ear the last couple of days and that keeps him occupied for quite some time. We got a 10" ball that is supposedly indestructible and so far it is good. It is too big for him to get his mouth around and too hard for him to bite. He bats it all around and back and forth and has a great time with it.

Lainie, I think the retreat would be a good thing for Rocky to do....It will be with friends and he will have a great time and will be keeping busy. That will do him good.

I was busy this morning. Washed 3 loads of clothes, put most on the line, made my sourdough bread, went to dental appt for cleaning. We went back to an estate sale we had been to on Saturday and all was reduced 50% off of Saturday's prices (which were already good). Larry go a couple more things today and was happy to get the discount. He was supposed to get a massage, but Deborah had to cancel so he is going tomorrow. It was supposed to be yesterday, but we canceled b/c of our trip to Richmond.

Kathy, you and Barb are both in therapy today. I hope yours does some real good for you. Too bad Janet didn't want to stay in rehab. I am sure they released her b/c she wouldn't do anything. Medicare wont pay if they are not progressing. Seems if she really wanted to be there, she would have at least "looked" like she was trying. I am sorry for your dad and at this point, I don't know what he can do. I will have him in my prayers as well as you and your family. Good news that Linda is coming for dinner and bringing her b/f.....should be a nice dinner. Funny about Jamie turning his kitchen into a library. Does he not cook? While we were out, it got really dark and windy and I was worried about the clothes on the line. We did get home in time for me to get them off the line and folded. Then we had a few drizzles but mostly it passes us by so far. It is bright again, but not sunny so we may still get rain.

Later ladies.

Happy Monday Everybody,

I am back at home until it is time to go to therapy this afternoon. They sent my Dad's wife back home yesterday. At the rehab center, she claimed that she couldn't walk, but she got out of the car and walked into their house. Go figure? I feel so sorry for Dad, but there is nothing I can do but love and support him. I give this two weeks and I think she will figure a way back into the hospital and back to rehab. This is going to be such a long drawn out process. At this time, she is claiming that she didn't tell him that she wanted to move into the nursing facility. He doesn't know what to think. On a bright note, my friend, Linda, is coming for dinner tonight and she is bringing her BF with her. We have met Bill before and he is very nice and a lot of fun.

Barb, I have a brace that I use on my knee to help keep the cap in place before one of the knee surgeries. It really helps and it makes the knee feel better. I hope he finds one for you soon.

Cathy, I hope you get to the library today. We have a whole room devoted to books in our house because neither Jim or I can be without a book. My son turned his kitchen into a library. LOL I guess that is why he is an English professor.

Nancy, I hope you have a good day today. Are you getting rain? We had rain last night and this morning, but I think it has passed us by now.

Lainie, That is very good timing that Rocky is going on that company retreat to Tennessee. I love the Smokey Mountains and he will have a wonderful time. I also think that a new computer may be a great idea and I agree with everybody else, I don't like tattoos.

Hello Ladies!!!

Thank you all so much for your kind words and prayers for Rocky and myself. We really do appreciate it so much. Rocky is home from work today. This was one of the days he took off, but he did work on a small project this morning and this afternoon he has a conference call with his boss. Next week the whole company is going on a retreat to the mountains in TN, I believe. I told Rocky it will do him good to get away and enjoy all the activities. This is an all expense paid trip. Lucky him. He is leaning towards buying a new computer and trying to sell his Mac and Mac Book Pro. He has a couple of friends who might want to buy them. One of his friends is actually using the Mac and has been for the past few months.

Besides working, I'm washing a load of towels. I don't feel like doing anything else. We're having a gloomy day again and it just makes me want to sleep. I'll be taking a nap later this afternoon.

Veronique, glad the infection is healing. Believe me, I know that's not fun at all. I know you will look forward to having more energy. Praying for a safe flight for your son.

Kathy, you sure have a busy day today. Hope all goes well for you!

Cathy, hope you have a great day at work. Enjoy going to the library afterwards. Hope you find the books you want.

Nancy, hope all goes well at the dentist today for you and Larry.

Barbara, hope all goes well with therapy and the brace will help.

Hope everyone has a great day!! Take care!!

Hugs,

Lainie

good morning everyone.

Lainie, I feel so sorry for Rocky, hope he will be able to move forward in his life, totally cut off all ties with her. Hugs and prayers for you and Rocky.

Veronique, glad the infection is healing. Will remember your son and his family in my prayers.

Kathy have a great day.

Cathy hope you have a good week on the job.

Nancy, Reeses seems to be adjusting well. Ryan's Priya is biting on everything, they are trying to break her of it, but it's been hard.

I have therapy today, my knee cap keeps going out and he is looking at getting a brace for me leg.

Lainie, I am so sorry that Rocky is going through this (as you know)...You are right,he best thing is for him to ignore her calls b/c that will just prolong things. Doesn't really matter the reason for the break up.....it is done and he just needs to move forward. I will pray that he is strong enough to start the forward trek....I like the computer idea better than a tattoo also. Good thing he didn't get a tattoo with Jazmin's name (to surprise her) before he went to Chicago.

Kathy, have a good day today......If we don't see you, not to worry, we know you are away.

Veronique, so happy the meds are working and the fever is gone. You will be back to "new" before long. The infection starting is probably a big part of why you were so tired.....

Barb, emoticon Glad you are home. Boy, it was great to be invited out and not have to prepare dinner on your first day home

Cathy, I hope you have a good day at work......Yes, it is easier to get rid of a computer than a tattoo.....lol......

Good morning all,

Barbara, sounds like you had a really busy and fun weekend. Glad you enjoyed yourself.

Veronique, glad you are healing nicely. Sounds like your antibiotic is doing it's job. Philippe is such a blessing! I'm glad he's such a help to you. Praying for safe travel for your son and that his wife and baby William are safe. I'm so glad the baby is at peace. That is a blessing indeed!

Kathy and Nancy, enjoy your busy days today!

Lainie, I pray that Rocky sees that Jazmin is assuaging her guilt by blaming all of this on him. She doesn't want to think of hurting such a sweet man herself, so she blames him for doing things wrong that made her not like him, not feel comfortable in the relationship. You are right, he should move on, but that takes time. Retail therapy is a nice thing but I'm with you ... a new computer is better than a tattoo. The lady who will be his wife may not want a tattoo and if she doesn't want the computer, he can easily get rid of that. :)

Today, I'm back to work. And to the library afterward. I missed having a book to read as I went to sleep last night. I've been using it to get sleepy and easily drop off to sleep at night. I'll rectify that this afternoon!

Have a great day everyone!

~ Cathy

I got home this afternoon, but didn't stay home as we got invited to a bbq/potluck birthday party for our friend. I got home from that in time to watch Big Brother. Need to catch up with the board, probably tomorrow . Now I need to head to bed.

Veronique, I am relieved that the antibiotics are doing their job and that you felt well enough to go to church today and then to clean the bird cage with your Philippes help. I know what a blessing he is to you. Your family will be in my prayers also. It is hard to believe what I am seeing how the news and I know your dil will be relieved when your son joins her and Baby William.

Good evening everyone!

Lainie - she is dishonest and you are right to tell Rocky to cut all ties with her. The new computer sounds like an excellent idea (I do not care for tatoos either!). I am glad you were able to catch on some sleep. All these emotions must have been exhausting for you.
Kathy - I pray the thunderstoms pass you by...
Nancy - yes, it is nice to know you have somebody whio can watchh Reese's when yiyu need to leave. And this watering exchange with your neighbors is great! I also would not like to have a neighbor give me something just for being nice...
Cathy - your sweet potato vine sounds intriguing! It did not know they grew on a vine... How long does it take to mature?
Bobbi - hello! So nice to have you stop by.

The antibiotics are working: no fever today. The incision site is still swollen and red, but not as hot to the touch. The treatment will last 10 days, so there is plenty of time for it to get better. I went to church this morning and rested afterwards, and I felt strong enough to clean my third (the last one, and the biggest) bird cage. This was a good feeling. Philippe helped and it was great. Honestly, I do not know what I would do without him... Nothing new from my daughter in law in Jerusalem, but I know she is relieved my son is coming to join her. He is leaving very eary tomorrow morning and will arrive on Tuesday morning local time. He has promised to keep me posted. Thank you all for your prayers. Baby William (6 months old now) is sleeping through the air raid alerts, blessedly.

Good night all!

Hello Ladies!

I slept in this morning. Boy, did I need that extra sleep. It's hard to concentrate on anything right now. I'm so worried about Rocky. It just so sad to seem him so unhappy. She called him a couple of times yesterday. She's trying to lay the blame on him for the break-up. I told him not to listen to her. She's the one who did wrong. Apparently, she was mad that he made contact with her family. Also, she said that all the letters he sent to her were too much. I find a problem with this, because she encouraged him and told him that she loved his letters. She is the one who mentioned getting engaged and making it official. I asked him not to talk to her any more. He needs to forget about her and move forward. I can't stop crying over this. I can barely look at him right now, because the pain is so evident on his face. This evening he's going through some retail therapy. Amazon is his friend tonight. He ordered a couple of books, boots, and a new watch so far. He was thinking of getting a new computer or a tattoo. I voted for the computer. I don't care for tattoos.

Other than going grocery shopping, I've been taking it easy. I've watched the race and then took a little nap. I've also been watching recorded shows and now my Sunday shows.

Veronique, I'm so sorry you have an infection. I pray the antibiotics heal it fast. I'm praying for your family in Israel too.

Kathy, glad you had a great day yesterday and are taking it easy today.

Cathy, good for you for getting all your meals ready for the week. I hope the sweet potato plant does good. We have a couple that Rocky planted in the back yard.

Bobbi, it's great to see you here. Hope you had a great Sunday!!

Nancy, sounds like you had a nice day. That's nice of you to water your neighbor's garden for them. They couldn't have picked a better person to watch over their garden.

Hope everyone has a great evening and a great week!! Take care!!

Hugs,

Lainie

Nancy, I am glad that Larry replaced what he had stolen and that you didn't have any tie ups that kept you away too long. I am sure that Reeses was very happy to see you when you got home and that he enjoyed all of the extra play and attention. I would not take anything from one of my neighbors when I do something for them either. It is enough to know that they would do the same for me and they have. Maybe you can watch your soap before you go to sleep.

Cathy, glad you and Asher had a nice walk. The sweet potato plant sounds nice....you should show us a pic when you get it planted and then after it grows.

Hi Bobbi, I hope you had a good day too. Glad to see you.

Kathy, Glad you had a relaxing day and hope the storms don't keep you from grilling. We enough dinner left from Friday night that we just had leftovers. We finished the LAST of the applesauce we made last winter... emoticon . Will make more this time around. I didn't get to finish the last part of the soap I was watching last night. We went to Richmond to Bass Pro b/c Larry found they had something to replace something he had stolen (while we were in NC) and it has been very hard to find. We crated Reese's and Deborah said she would check on him if we were gone too long. Larry's son and his wife joined us for lunch, and Deborah didn't have to come over b/c we didn't get tied up or gone too long. It is a relief to know I can call someone if we go somewhere and get tied up. I could also count on Karen. I would never go for more than 5 hours w/o a back-up plan. We played with him a lot when we got home b/c we had left him not quite 5 hrs.

Veronique I hope the meds are starting to do their job and you and on the mend. I will say a continuing prayer for you son and his family. Say Hello to Philippe and say I am proud he has done so well while you have been ill.

Cathy, you sure were busy and well organized in your home today. You got a lot done today and it sure makes things easier for you during the week. Makes me tired reading it.......lol...

I was down talking with one of the neighbors in the rear of me that I told I would water their plants while they are gone for 8 days. I don't mind doing this at all but they want to give me something or don't want me to do it. I told them I would rather they just water mine if I go away. They said that problem is that I don't go away. I said I would have them water when I do. What I should have said was then they could just a day when I didn't go away.........lol...

Cathy, It sounds like you are ready for a new week. You did do a lot today, but it does make the week go so much smoother and you have more time to do things that you like to do after work, rather than what you have to do. I hope you have a good week at work.

The cooking is all done, the sweet potato plant is re-potted, all the plants are watered, and all my restocking is done. I have some things that it's just as easy to buy online as it is to buy locally and it's cheaper. All my breakfasts and lunches are measured out and in bowls. And the library books are ready to go back to the library tomorrow with a list of books to look for. It's been a busy day, but all things I enjoyed doing.

Kathy, I'm glad you found things inside to keep you busy too. It's just to hot to be outside. We had a good rain last evening without any thunder at all. The night before, we had the thunder and no rain. We have a little chance of rain this evening so we'll see what happens.

Veronique, I haven't had the news on in a few days, so I had to look to catch up on what was happening in Israel. Now I have a more personal reason to pray for Israel with your family there. Please keep us informed of specifics we need to pray about.

Have a wonderful afternoon, everyone.

Good Afternoon Ladies,

It is very hot and humid here today and heavy thunderstorms are in forecast for today and tomorrow. We are just hanging out here at home today and are grilling dinner tonight. It is going to be a pretty relaxing day. The only time we went out was to get a Sunday paper and we stopped and split a sub at Subway.

Nancy, I hope you enjoy your soap today and glad that you got caught up on it last night. The best part about taping a show is zooming through the commercials. That was nice of you to give Larry a break on the fireworks. I know that you like to go for the music.

Cathy, I hope you enjoy your afternoon. I know that you do most of your cooking for the week on the weekend. I hope your sweet potato plant does well after you plant it.

Bobbi, Thank you for stopping by today.

Lainie, I hope that Rocky is a little better today, but I understand that this is going to take a very long time and right now, he needs his family and friends. I will continue praying for both of you.

Veronique, I was reading in the paper more about what is going on in Israel today and it told more than what has even been on CNN. Your son and his family will continue to be in my prayers while all of this is going on. I hope you are feeling a little better today.

Good morning, all,

Kathy, I'm so glad that you all had such a nice ride and that you found the items you were looking for on your shopping trip. Success!!!

Nancy, glad you enjoyed the Extravaganza! And gave Larry the evening off. LOL!

Lainie, I'm praying Rocky is having a better day today. I know it will be slow progress. I'm so glad he has you to lean on.

Veronique, I'm so sorry that you have a wound infection. Those are so easy to get. Praying your antibiotics take care of it in a big hurry. And praying for a safe journey for your son. God takes care of His own.

Asher and I took a nice walk earlier this morning. Cooking will be this afternoon's chore. And planting a sweet potato vine that I've been rooting. I think it's established enough to go into it's planter.

Have a lovely day, everyone!

~ Cathy

Lainie,, I am so glad Rocky was able to get a full refund.......It is going to take him a while to start moving forward after the hurt Jazmin put on him. I know it hurts you to see him like that, but you are doing the right thing.......listening to him and supporting him.....mainly being there for him. I am continuing to have the two of you in prayer.

Kathy, That is good that you had a nice ride and able to open the windows. We did go to the extravaganza during the day, but didn't return for the music and fireworks. Larry is not too fond of fireworks so I thought I would "give him a break" (lol) and not go. I could see them from the bonus room window, but I opted to just catch up on the soap I watch. I have one left to watch today.

Veronique, I am so sorry to hear you have an infection at the surgical site. Happy that you did the right thing by going to the doctor and he was able to clean it and give you more antibiotics. I hope it is well very soon. I know it was sad for you to tell your son goodbye last evening and you are worried about the situation there, so I will keep all of you in my prayers.

Will check in later......have a wonderful day.

Veronique,
I am so sorry about the infection. I am so glad that you wasted no time and went straight to the doctor. Hopefully, the antibiotics will clear it up soon. I am so sad that tonight you said goodbye to your son for three years. I have been watching what is going on in Israel and I will be praying for your son and his family.

Hello ladies!

Lainie - I am sure it breaks your heart to see Rocky so sad, but time is a great healer. There is also your love, it will help him. Thank goodness he was able to return the ring and get his money back!
Kathy - I hope you had a chance to go back shopping and had better luck!
Nancy - how was the Extravaganza? Did you have fun? Great idea to have it a week after the 4th...
Cathy - good for you to give yourself a day off! You needed this time to relax.

On my end, a step backwards: I started noticing a redness and a bit of swelling around my incision, and it was hot to the touch. I woke up this morning with a slight fever. Sure enough, I have an infection at the surgical incision site. The doctor cleaned the incision and put me back on antibiotics. Apart from that, my day was occupied with cleaning 2 of my bird cages, and I said good bye to my son tonight. We are following the events in Israel right now, and I am worried as this is not the best of time to go there...

Good Evening Ladies,

It is almost 10:30 and we just got home. We did go shopping again this evening and I had success this time. Jim decided that he wanted to go for a ride, so we stopped and got bottles of water and took a very long drive. It was so nice and the temps were down enough that we put the windows down and just let the wind blow through the car.

Cathy, We all need an occasional day where all we do is rest and for me, reading is what totally relaxes me. I'm glad you got to do that today.

Nancy, I hope you enjoyed your day in town at the Extravaganza. I remember you telling us about it last year.

Lainie, I am glad that Rocky got his money back. He deserves that much. He is so lucky to have you for his Mom and like Cathy said, he will love you all the more for the support you are giving him now.

Just got back home. We went out to eat at Rocky's favorite Mexican restaurant, which happens to be next to the mall. Afterwards, we went to the mall, which is where the jewelry store is. Rocky wanted me to come in with him. He was able to get all his money back, including the insurance protection that he bought. We walked around the mall a little and then decided to go to Best Buy. He almost bought a new Mac Book Pro, but decided to hold off awhile. We made a quick stop into Whole Foods so he could get some bottles of the sparkling water that he loves. We didn't need anything else.

I couldn't get any smiles out of Rocky. It is just so sad to see him this way. I just want to cry. I just sit there and listen to him vent and throw in comments now and again. That's all I can do.

No, I didn't go to the farmers market today. I decided I was sitting it out this weekend. I just needed the weekend off. When I was in the grocery store on Thursday and found great produce, my decision was made. I wouldn't have to get up early this morning and go to the market. I really enjoy it, but I also knew that this week, I was running out of energy.

Good evening, ladies,

Lainie, I'm so glad Rocky is home and that he went out to the movies to get his thoughts in a different place. When I asked my ex to leave, I took my engagement ring back and it had been re-sized. I hope the same happens for Rocky. You are both in my prayers. May the right young woman come into his life soon.

Veronique, you are in my prayers. I pray your son has a safe trip. I know he's looking forward to being reunited with his wife and child. I hope you've had a day to relax and recover some.

Nancy you had a busy day with Deborah yesterday. I know she appreciates your help!

Kathy, I did the same thing last week look for my lamps. I'd been in 4 stores before I went back to the first one and they had something new in and that was just the right thing.

Today has been a day of relaxing for me. I've read and napped a good portion of the day, but that was what I planned to do. I needed a day off after the busy week I'd had. I'm getting my steps in now, then I'll put some laundry in.

Have a nice evening, everyone!

Kathy, I guess it doesn't matter that your day didn't go as planned when it really wasn't bad anyway. When you go back out, it will probably be cooler and you may find all you are looking for. We have leftovers for dinner so I don't have to fix anything. I sure will be glad when tomatoes are coming in. Mine are later this year than last but at least they are coming in soon.

Hi Ladies,
This day hasn't gone as planned. It hasn't been a bad day, just not as planned. Jim slept in this morning and I got up and did some little things and took a shower. After he got up, we went to the coffee shop and several friends was there and we stayed a very long time. I had planned on going shopping, but the first store that I went to didn't have a single thing that I wanted. We decided to just come home and we will go back out tonight.

Nancy, I hope you have a wonderful day at your town's extravaganza! It sounds like a lot of fun to me and you are sure to see people you know.

Lainie, I am glad that Rocky went to the movies today and then you and him are going out later. This is very good for him and I hope the movie helped him to take his mind off things. I am so sorry that you went through this with his Dad, but it might help you help Rocky.

Lainnie, glad Rocky is back home and has decided to go to a movie...It has got to be so hard to not sit home and be so upset, but he is doing the right thing b going out and spending time doing something he likes to do. Maybe he could meet up with some of his friends and spend some time with them. I am so happy he has your support to get him through this. I am sorry that you went through the same type of thing on your breakup with his dad. You are able to know just how he feels and can help him so much. I hope he can get a refund on the ring and w/o the ring it will be easier for him to move on. Hugs to both of you/ emoticon

Hello Ladies!!!

Well, Rocky is back home. When I pulled up to the airport terminal and saw him, I almost didn't recognize my baby. He looked so sad and the hurt in his eyes just breaks my heart. Apparently, she knew for a month that she didn't want to marry him and just wanted to be friends. She claims she didn't want to tell him over the phone or through a letter, because she didn't think that was the right thing to do. Instead, she kept letting him send letters, pictures, and a package of toiletries she needed. Everything he's going through, I went through with his dad. The hurt can be so unbearable at times. I can't stop crying when I think of him hurting so badly. The one thing I'm grateful for is that there are no children involved.

He decided to go to a movie today while I'm confirming appointments. He should be coming home soon. He's going to call the jewelry shop to make sure that they will take it back. I'm hoping they will and we can return it today. We're going out to a late lunch/early dinner today. We're going to his favorite Mexican restaurant downtown. So, I will get in a lot of walking today.

It was raining this morning. It's still cloudy, but no rain right now. We're suppose to get more, but I'm hoping it holds out until this evening.

I've been busy cleaning in between confirming today. I've thrown in the last dog blanket into the wash. I swept and mopped the floors. I decided to put the rugs back down in the living room and my office. So I vacuumed them. Now that Bailey is getting bigger, he shakes the crate when he wants out and I don't want it to mark up the floors. I'm just hoping he won't tear up the rug when he's out of his crate.

Again, I want to thank everyone for your kinds words and prayers. Your support means so much to me.

Nancy, I hope you have a great time at the Extravaganza celebration today.

Hope everyone has a great day! Take care!

Hugs,

Lainie

Continuing.........I forgot to tell you ladies today is the town's Extravaganza celebration for the 4th. It is an all day activity ending with more music and fireworks tonight. There will be crafters, music and games for all. Really looking forward to having a great day. The celebration is held today b/c the town next to us (where Cathy's parents live) has a huge celebration on the 4th so ours is always a week later.

Lainie, I sure hope the ring can be returned even if it has been re-sized.....I hope Rocky will be able to get some rest to help him get over this that has happened. I do wish she had told him before he spent all of that money going there and then her telling him. People say it is better to be told in person, but in this case, I am not so sure....The hurt and having to walk away from her had to be so hard. Now he can focus on moving forward. Hugs and prayers for both of you. I am sure neither of you got much sleep last night, so try to relax today and just enjoy being together.

Veronique, I didn't really miss the internet being out except early morning b/c I was out the whole day helping a friend. Glad you got your pills paid so that is done. I know it will be very hard for you to say goodbye to your son for 3 years.....it is a long time. At least today's technology will let you be able to speak/see him during phone calls. That is a good thing that was invented....My granddaughter skypes with me almost every day with little AJ. I see him playing, eating, and just having a good time. Sometimes he isn't having such a good time and might be fussy....but that is okay too.

Kathy, Deborah has a online shopping site and we were organizing and getting a lot of the things listed so she could post the items. I wrote what the item was and measured it all directions and she took pictures. We then took some of the things to her storage where Larry had built shelves Thursday and Friday. We put things on the shelves but ran out of time to organize it. This is a long and ongoing project. We did over 50 items yesterday.

Have a great day ladies.

Veronique, I was hoping that you would rest today. You did a lot yesterday for your first day after being released. I am so sorry that the time has come for you to say goodbye to your son. I know that you are going to miss him deeply. My heart and prayers go out to you.

Lainie, I'm so happy that Rocky is about home. HIs plane should be landing right now and my heart and prayers are with the two of you.

Veronique, thank you! I couldn't agree with you more. I have to leave in about 30 minutes to go pick up Rocky. He just left Atlanta. I'm glad that you're doing better. Sorry you have to say goodbye to your son this weekend. Hopefully, the time will go by fast. Don't overdo it tomorrow.

Hello all!

Lainie - I am so, so sorry for Rocky. If she knew he was going to propose she shoud have had teh decency to tell him right away and not havehim come for the graduation! This is so insensitive, I can't believe it! I am sure he will find in you the love he needs to start the healing process. I am glad he was able to come back early and he is able to return the ring. You are both in my prayers.
Kathy - you did a lot today! I am glad the therapy went well. When is Jaimie's birhday?
Nancy - how irritating to be without your Internet! I am sure it made your day hectic. I hope all is back up and stable.
Cathy - good for you to take it easy after a stressful week and enjoying a relaxed afternoon!
Shannon - hello to you! I am glad you joined our little group.

Quiet day for me. I paid a few bills, and I am glad I had paid the ones due at the beginning of the month early... Too tired to start on my bird cages today, but will do them tomorrow. Tomorrow, I will also say goodbye to my oldest son. He is leaving early on Monday to join his wife and baby in Jerusalem. I am going to miss him so much! Three years is a long time...

Nancy, thank you so much for your prayers. I appreciate that. Sorry your internet was out all day. I would go crazy.

Kathy, I was so happy when I found out. It didn't say anything about the ring being sized, so I sure hope that's the case. I'm going to call them tomorrow to make sure.

Nancy, I am sorry about your internet and can't wait to hear about your project with Deborah.

Lainie, I am glad that he can at least return the ring. I was so afraid that he couldn't because of having it sized, but they can resize it. How cruel that she didn't tell him on Tuesday.

Kathy and Cathy, you are both so right. Thank you so much for your support. I sure hope the weekend can be relaxing and start the healing process. I did find out that she knew he was going to propose to her. One of the ladies in the Facebook support group that he told what his plans were told her husband and he told Jazmin. We don't know how long she knew, but she could have called him on Tuesday to tell him. I did give him some good news. He thought he wouldn't be able to take the ring back, but on the receipt it says he has 60 days to return it in the correct packaging.

Ladies, I am sorry I haven't been here today at all. My internet was out this morning and I had to be at Deborah's at 8:00 a.m. We are working on a project and I didn't get home until after 4:00 pm.....I am just starting my sparking.....so much happened today,, but I will answer these chats tomorrow.

Lainie, I can't say enough how sorry I am that Jazmin let Rocky know in that way. I know your heart if hurting for him and it is good he is on his way home and he has the weekend to pull himself together at least part of the way. You are a great mom and I know you will be a big comfort to him through this. I will be saying prayers.

emoticon for both you and Rocky, Lainie. I'm so sorry for Rocky but on the other hand, if she doesn't believe in their relationship any more, he's so much better off that she cut things off now. He can find the woman who appreciates him and loves him for the great man he is. Thank you for going ahead and letting his supervisor know so he doesn't have to do that. You are so very compassionate. I hope this can be a quiet, relaxing weekend for you. You surely need it!

Lainie, What Jazmin did to Rocky was cruel and inhumane. She should have told him as soon as she was able to write to him. My heart breaks to just think about what he went through today. You are right; he does need to be home to start the healing process. She may not have known that he was going to propose, but she did know that he loves her and was spending all of that money to fly to Chicago.

After I got everything done for the day, we went out to dinner and then to the mall. I need to start thinking about Jamie's birthday and all I found tonight was a card. lol

Hello Ladies!!

What started out as an exciting and promising day for Rocky, turned out to be a horrible day. I watched the graduation ceremony on livestream. It was a very wonderful thing to view. At the end they show the new sailors hugging their loved ones. I saw Rocky searching for Jazmin. It didn't take too much longer after that and he texted me one work, "No!" My heart just shattered for him. He loves her so much and she just broke his heart. She said that she changed her mind about him in the last 3 weeks. She didn't want to tell him in a letter or over the phone. So, she waited for him to pay hundreds of dollars to come see her graduate to break his heart. I have been crying all day. It's so hard to work today. I took so many breaks and now I'm still working trying to get in my calls. I've only got a few more to do. Rocky is now on his way home. He had to pay extra to change his ticket, but I told him he needed to be hear to start healing. He will get here around midnight. I can't wait to get him home and give him a big hug. All his friends keep texting him wanting to know how it went, but he's only told a few people right now. His office manager im'd me on Facebook to see how it went. I decided to tell her to spare Rocky having to explain to them. The whole office watched the graduation and was just devastated for him. One of his co-workers sent him a wonderful email.

I managed to wash two loads of clothes today. I also have a couple of the dog blankets in the wash getting ready to go in the dryer. I need to mop the floors when I'm done working. It's amazing that I am still going. I had only about 5 hours sleep last night. The dogs just wouldn't settle down. Then Rocky woke me up early. I haven't had a nap today. I might just lay down for a little nap before I have to pick up Rocky tonight.

Ladies, thank y'all for your prayers and concern for Rocky and myself. I appreciate it so much. Hope y'all have a great evening!! Take care!!

Hugs,

Lainie
