Kathy, I had a tens unit when I had my shoulder surgery and it was wonderful. I am happy it was offered. Your new car sounds nice and just what you might have been looking for. I have decided to stay home this time......I will be less stressed b/c I don't think I could deal with the stress if Reese's was doing what he should not be doing. Besides, everyone would have to keep every single thing off the floor and counters. That is not fair to them, so I am happy to be staying home. I would like to go to be with Larry but I think everyone will be better off if Reese and I stay home and I really am okay with that.

Lainie, I read on FB that Bailey is home, but the vet doesn't know yet what is wrong. I hope the test results tomorrow with tell the problem and he can get started on getting better. Praying and sending hugs to you and to Rocky.

Nancy, We are going to buy my Dads Chevrolet HHR from him. He ordered a Volvo that will be available in Sept. He is getting it because he really needs OnStar. The HHR only has 8,000 miles on it and it is loaded with everything that Chevy offers.

I have no idea how Reeses would behave at Hunt Camp. He might love it, but the other male dog could be a problem. I know that you love Reeses, but I can certainly see how all of this has been hard on you. I think he is extremely territorial and that is a good thing because he will watch out for you. We all vent here because it is a very safe place to say how we feel about things.

I think that I am getting a TENS Unit for my pain. We tried one today and it really helped during therapy. My therapist is putting a request in to my surgeon and hopefully, he will write a prescription for it and then hopefully, Medicare will pay for it. She said they will approve one, the question is will it be the standard unit or the one that is easier to use and better. We will just have to wait and see. We are going to use it again tomorrow.

Kathy, sorry you go a flat yesterday and yes, it is good that you don't have to get a new tire. What kind of car are you getting next month. There are six training classes and an advanced class after this one.

Larry is going to hunt camp tomorrow, but not sure if I am going. I am all packed, but Reese's is so antisocial at this point I don't think I want to take him. Larry's son is going and taking their chocolate lab, but that will be two male dogs which don't usually get along when they are not brought up together or know each other well. Don't know how many other people will be there either. The yard man is here and Reese ran out the door when we went out and the garage door was open. He scared the heck out of the man's son who was weed whacking. He was barking so hard and wouldn't quit. I asked the boy to turn the whacker off and he did, but Reese's still barked and wouldn't come in the house. I had to get his lease to get him in. Then he still pulled really hard and I had to just grab him by the collar. I am hoping this works, but I am wondering if it will. It is really hard and really gets to me. Sorry........

Good Afternoon Ladies,

Jim and I got up and cleaned the house and then he had to go and get a tire plugged on the car. Yesterday, we ran over a screw and I am just thankful we didn't have to replace it because we are planning on getting a new car next month. I am Sparking before I go to therapy in an hour. Like Barbara, I am going three times a week. In six years, I have probably only had 4 months without therapy for some reason or other. I want to join a gym, but I don't have time. Jim is going to a ballgame with a friend tonight so I am going to do laundry tonight, which is a big change for me.

Lainie, I hope and pray that little Bailey is going to be okay. I am so relieved that Rocky took him to the vet today and happy that he will finally get his shots. I am happy that Rocky has decided to do his freelance while he is waiting for something permanent. I do think that things will get better from here. You have been through an incredible amount of stress in less than a week. I will continue to pray for you. I hope you do get a nap in today.

Nancy, I hope that things went well at the Joint Center today. I am glad that there was things to help benefit Reeses last night at his class. How many classes are there?

Barbara, It is hard to find time to do things at home when you are helping out at the office and going to therapy. I hope you find a little time to take a deep breath when your laundry is done.

Cathy, I hope things go well at the office today. Everywhere we go, people know who we are and we speak to everyone. The benefit is, I live in the same neighborhood where I was raised and Jim liked it, so this is where he and I made our home. I always look for certain people wherever I go. I'm happy that you are placing these good roots in your area.

Barbara, p/t does use a lot of time...When I went 3 times a week for 3 months, it was a lot and hubby had to drive me the first month b/c I wasn't allowed to drive while the sling was on. He still took me the rest of the time also. He would just read while I was there. He also helped me at home with the exercises to stretch further than I actually could. He was my hero.

Lainie, I am sorry that Bailey is so sick.....and you and Rocky are going through that along with everything else. It what he had contagious to the other dogs even though it is a parasite and they share the yard to go potty. I hope the meds help him right away. You said you hadn't gotten his shots, would that have prevented this problem...Doesn't seem it would, unless it is some type of worms. I don't really know anything about any of these things. Can they give him his shots while he is there or does he has to get well first. Thinking you you two and saying a prayer and sending hugs. You have to figure that not much more can happen so things should definitely be looking up. You definitely need that nap.

Hello Ladies!!!

Bailey had a bad night and morning. He has lost so much weight in the past couple of days. Rocky took him to the Vet this morning. They were worried he had Parvo. That test came back negative. Thank God! He has a parasite. They kept him at the clinic to dose him with medication and fluids. Rocky will go back and pick him up at 5 p.m. today. With so much going on the last couple of months, we hadn't gotten him his shots yet. We're going to set that up today. It cost $350 for today. Rocky put it on his credit card and I'll help him pay that.

I am feeling so weak today. I think all this stress of everything happening has gotten to me. Hopefully, after my nap this afternoon I will feel better. I'm working late tonight. I am confirming the 9:30 webinar for AnnMarie tonight. She's going to confirm the 7:00 webinar tomorrow for me, which will be a nice break for me. I'm definitely going to need a nap to be able to work until 9:30. It can get tiring.

I haven't had a chance to catch up with all the posts. I hope everyone is doing well. I'll try to catch up later. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayer!!! I so appreciate them.

Hugs,

Lainie

Hi everyone.

Nancy enjoy your day at the joint centre. Glad Reeses got good instruction last night, I know he will be head of class when it's done.

Cathy, hope your head ache is gone. I live in a small rural community so when I go to town I pretty much know everyone, it's so nice to go into the stores and chat with everyone.

Kathy, hope your head ache is also gone. Nothing worse than a head ache. That was nice that Jim phoned for a lunch date yest.

Veronique, hope you are well enough to attend your exercise program at the seniors centre. How is Philippe doing?

Lainie, it's good that Rocky can do freelance until he finds a permanent job. Glad your sister arrived home safely. How is Bailey today? Maybe a trip to see the vet?

Going to put my 3rd load of laundry on. This is the only day this week I get to stay home, doing therapy 3 times a week and one day at the office, uses up a lot of my day.

Continuing.......

Lainie, glad you sister is home safely. She will be a source of support for you and Rocky so I know you are happy she is home for more than her just being home. I am sorry you are having such an emotional time, but it is certainly warranted.....I am happy Rocky will be dong his freelance work until he can find something more permanent. I agree with Cathy that Bailey needs a visit to the vet. Did he get all of his worming as a pup and his shots....he may need worming....just a thought.

Barb, morning.....sorry you haven't gotten your brace yet. I am happy the therapy is working.

Cathy, it is nice to visit local store and know the people that work there. It is so nice that that all called to you when you went in...Nice of you to tell the lady that is just back from leave that you missed her. I am glad you took some med for your headache and I hope it goes away shortly. We feel so bad when we have a headache. I would wait for Torrria also instead of letting that other person do a cut. Hope you person is there today.

Reese's did well in his class last night and there was instruction that is going to benefit him. It was the third class.....maybe I was expecting too much in the 1st of the 2 .classes. Going to joint center today......

Good morning, dear friends,

Lainie, it sounds like Bailey may need a trip to the Vet to see what is wrong. Even when he was so sick, Asher still wanted to eat. I gave him chicken broth to keep him hydrated when I took his food completely way. He loves chicken broth! I'm so sorry about the loss. I am glad you had a reason to cry though. You've been through a lot of stress and those tears have been building. What a wonderful tribute that Walmart set up for her. I enjoy getting to know the folks who work in the stores I frequent. There are 4 women who work in the pharmacy that I adore. There are others who are kind enough, but 4 who go out of their way to be very sweet to me. Yesterday when I went in, 3 of them were there. They were all waving and calling me by name and asking how I was. None of them were waiting on me. One has just returned from a medical leave and I told her I was so glad she was back, that I'd missed her. She blushed and said she appreciated that as she needed to feel needed. Don't we all!

Veronique, I'm praying that today is a good day for you and that you feel like going to the exercise class. It sounds wonderful! I'm excited to hear how it goes!

Kathy, I hope your headache went away. I had to baby mine a bit as I settled into bed. I took some medicine for it this morning. I hope it soon goes on it's way. I really don't want to deal with it again today!

Barbara, so happy for you that your therapy is helping. Hope you get your brace soon. I bet that will give you tremendous benefit from it.

I hope to get a haircut this afternoon. I go to a place where I just drop in. Torria wasn't working yesterday, so I will try again today. I really need it!! I hated not to get it yesterday, but the only woman working was one who does not know when to stop. LOL! She cut my hair once before and I did want it short but I had all but a buzz cut. The only good thing I have to say is I didn't need a haircut for a very long time. :)

Have a great day everyone!

emoticon Lainie, you have been through a lot these past few days.

Veronique hope you can go to your gym class.

Kathy, hope your headache leaves. Is there a reason why your appetite is off?

Nancy hoping Larry's tests are good.

Cathy that is good the company was able to give you the job description you wanted.

I think therapy is helping, just slowly, no brace yet, I will ask on Friday what is going on with that.

Well, my sister made it home a couple of hours ago. She's exhausted. I'm just glad they made it home safe and sound.

Last night and this morning, Bailey was doing so well. Now he's not doing good. He refuses to eat anything. We've tried puppy chow, chicken rice, and even the big boy food he likes to steal from the other two dogs. He won't eat any of it. It just breaks my heart to see him like this.

After work we went to Walmart to pick up a few things. As we walked in the door, I noticed a table set up with a white wreath and a picture of a lady greeter. She passed away. She was so sweet. It just broke my heart. When we got back to the car, I was telling Rocky about the last time I saw her and I just broke down crying. I have been so emotional this past week. I'm trying to be strong for Rocky. He's getting excited about doing freelance work again. He should be getting his first project soon.

I still have the headache and it is right across my forehead. It could be because my meals was way off today. It wasn't what I ate, it's just that it was when and I know that I didn't eat enough today, but my appetite was down, just abit.

Cathy, I laughed about the guy in your office being obsessed with the amount of steps between what is on his Fitbit and what is on yours. You go girl!

Good evening to all!

Kathy - how's your headache? I hope better by now. I just cannot imagine how frightened you were when Jim had his heart attack...
Lainie - I am happy Bailey is doing better. You must be very relieved. I hope Rocky can find some good freelance jobs, and that the interviews have a positive result, especially the one in Atlanta! Praying for success.
Cathy - your daily steps are just awesome! You have every right to be proud. I am glad you enjoyed a peaceful day at your office.
Nancy - wow, this was a lot of cooking and you must be beat... I hope Reese's did well at his class.

Better weather here today, with no thunderstorm for a change. I feel more rested tonight and hope I will be able to attend tomorrow the first session of an exercise class at the Senior Center (easy strength trsaining with weights and bands) I signed up for three months ago...

Cathy, thank you for your comments about Larry....we do feel he is in good hands. That is funny about the fellow Fitbit person at your work. Your steps are "hard" to beat. I have not been getting as many steps as I like....I just don't know where all of the time goes. I hope you headache is gone before you go to bed tonight.

Good evening, sweet friends,

Kathy, I'm certain that is frightening after Jim had his heart attack when he reaches to his chest. Mom said so many things frightened her about Dad when he was first diagnosed with atrial fib. He finally said, "Stop babying me!" She got the message. He feels so much better now. Nancy, I'm so glad that Larry is doing well and has such a good cardiologist minding his care.

Lainie, Bailey sure sounds better. I'm so happy to hear he's on the mend. My goodness, these storms have stranded lots of folks. Sorry that your family got caught up in them. I'm glad for Rocky that the interviews went well despite the fact that the jobs weren't exactly what he had in mind. When I interviewed at the company that I work for now, they didn't have anything I wanted either. But, by the time I finished the process, we had a job description worked out. All they thought they had was a training position and I really didn't want that. Our trainers go all over the US and I didn't want to do that. And I didn't want to teach either.

Lainie, you really do need to move up here ... the weather was just gorgeous today. It was about 75 degrees and a nice breeze. We went for two walks during the day. The breeze was nice enough to keep us from getting to hot.

I had to laugh while I was talking with one young man in my office who is also a Fitbit friend. He told me today that he looks at my Fitbit steps at the end of each day and just shakes his head. He even started walking to work from his home and he still cannot get anywhere near my steps/day. He's half my age. Made me so proud of my efforts!

Kathy, I hope your headache has subsided. Mine has hurt this evening just a bit. Not a migraine, but across my forehead. I think I waited to long before I ate dinner. I kept doing one more thing before I stopped to get my dinner. It feels good to sit down and lean my head on the back of the love seat. I bet it will feel even better to curl up on my pillow. :)

Hope everyone has a lovely evening!

~ Cathy

Thank you for you thoughts for Larry. He hasn't ever had a heart attack and not sure what all is to be done yet, but we will find out I am sure. Taking the next couple of steps and then probably another procedure. I am glad Jim hasn't had any further problems. I am sure you panic when he puts his hand and says indigestion.....

Nancy, Wow, you was very busy today, but your freezer will be full again soon and you will have lots of wonderful goodies for later. I hope that all goes well with your hubby. Jim had a heart attack when he was 50 and hasn't had any problems since he had his stent put in, but I still get that little feeling of panic when he puts his hand up to his chest. It is always indigestion with him, but that's what he told me the day he had his heart attack. He was totally non-risk for one and he still had it happen. I have to laugh at Reeses. For him, stealing things is a game and he certainly is enjoying playing it with you! lol

Veronique, Hubby has to have at least one more test and a procedure which will probably lead to another procedure after these next two weeks. I am praying all goes well. So happy your son got to his destination safely and is joined with his family. Everyone in your area got lots of rain and we didn't get a drop......we need it badly..

Cathy, glad you are going to have a more quiet day at work today......like you said, enjoy the peace of it.

Barb,, I hope you p/t goes well today......Do you get iced after doing the therapy?

Kathy, so sorry you have a bad headache.....maybe lay down for a little while, even if you don't nap.....

Lainie, we are so happy to be able to talk with you and make you feel better. We are all here for each other as a TEAM.....I do hope Rocky gets the job in Atlanta so you and he will still be close to each or maybe even together again if you move there. I am glad Bailey is a little better. Did you heat the rice/chicken a little....I hope he will eat soon. I hope you family gets back home soon from NY.

Well, I have been really busy today. Just now starting my sparking. I made squash casserole to freeze( 3 meals), blueberry jam, and two batches of zucchini bread for the freezer. I was going to make freezer pickles, but I ran out of energy. Won't do it tomorrow b/c have to go to joint center. Reese's has his 3 training class this evening. Not so sure they are doing much. He knows most of what they are teaching and he isn't learning how not to "steal" everything. He has taken at least 6 things today...Like I said, you tell him he can't have it and he waits for you to get there and when you say "release" he gives it right away. He is getting better. Have to run.....will try to check in after his class. Have to do my sparking for today.

Thank you, Kathy! Yes, NY and NJ were having bad storms yesterday and this morning. I haven't heard any more from them, so hopefully they are on their way home. They will fly into Jacksonville since that is closer to where they live now.

Hello Ladies!!!

I am so happy that I'm a part of this wonderful group. I really appreciate all the support I get from everyone. Your thoughts and prayers mean the world to me and they have really helped me. I don't know what I would do without you ladies. Thank you so very much!!!!

Rocky has had two interviews so far. He will hear back from the one in Atlanta next week. He said the interview went well, but it's not exactly what he had in mind. The other interview in San Diego went well, but it's more about web design and he doesn't have a lot of experience with that. He's going to be taking online classes to learn more. They are suppose to send him a test to do. He would really love that job. He loved San Diego when he was there a few weeks ago. I just hate that it's so far away. In the meantime, he is trying to get some freelance work and is reaching out to his contacts from when he did freelance work when he was still in school.

Bailey is feeling better. He's not 100% yet, but he's getting there. We're so used to him running around and getting into everything. It's just so weird that he's not doing much of that. He ate the chicken rice last night, but won't eat it today. Hopefully, he will a little later.

My sister, niece, and nephew are stranded in NYC due to the storms they have been having since yesterday. They were suppose to fly home today, but have had a delay. My niece had to give a seminar on Monday. She likes company so my sister and nephew went with her. My nephew hasn't flown since he was in his mom's tummy back in 1976. lol My sister loves NYC and is always happy to go with my niece. Erin won't be traveling too much longer since she is due on the 27th of September.

We're having a gloomy day again here in Savannah too. This weather makes me so sleepy. I'll probably take a little nap soon. I first have to confirm the 3:00 webinar.

Veronique, I'm so happy that your son made it to Jerusalem safe and sound. I pray that they are not affected by all the violence that is going on there.

Cathy, I told Rocky that if we moved to the Atlanta area, I would have a friend close by. That would be very cool.

Barbara, I hope your therapy goes well today.

Kathy, I hope your headache goes away soon. Try drinking a glass of water. That sometimes works for me. Take care!

Hope everyone has a great rest of the day!! Take care!!

Hugs,

Lainie

Good Afternoon,
I thought I wold post before Jim gets home in about an hour. I have enjoyed a quiet morning except for a few phone calls from friends, I have a horrible headache and have no idea where that came from. I can't believe that it is only 64 outside on a mid-July afternoon!

Cathy, Have a great day at the office. I am glad that you have found the peace that comes with people being out of the office.

Barbara, I hope that your therapy goes well today and that your therapist has found a brace for you.

Good morning all,

I feel like this week is zipping by and then there are times when I think it should be Friday already. LOL!

Veronique, I'm so happy that your son has arrived safely in Jerusalem with his wife and Baby William. I know that gives you peace.

I was talking with my sister yesterday and seems the storms were concentrated in NC. She said they were there all day. We looked like we were going to have them, but never did.

I'm looking forward to today. Lots of folks will be out of the office working from home. It's a quieter day when they do. There was a time that this made my day more stressful. I've learned to adjust and see the peace in it.

Lainie, I keep thinking about the potential of you and Rocky being right up the road. That would be so nice! I am praying for Rocky to make a good impression with the places he interviews. And that he be offered the perfect job for him.

Have a wonderful day, ladies!

Good evening ladies!

Lainie - I am so, so sorry for Rocky. This is touigh after what he went through with Jazmin. I am praying he gets the job in Atlanta, this would be so wonderful for the both of you. I am also praying the letter of recommendation will be helpful, and that he can start collecting unemployment as soon as possible. You are both in my prayers.
Cathy - I love Robin Cook and medical mysteries!!! This is such a treat! But hard to put down... Yes, you had a busy day catching up with family. It was great you went to your chiropractor and that it helped with your migraine.
Nancy - are the results good for your husband?
Barbara - too bad Priya and Sasha do not get along, but perhaps if they spend more time together it will get better?
Kathy - it looks like you had a great day with your friend Karen! I am praying for speedy recovery from surgery for Linda.

My son e-mailed me: he made it safely to Jerusalem and was happy to see his wife and baby. Thank you for your prayers. More bad thunderstorms and pouring rain here this afternoon and tonight, but we did not lose our power, blessedly.

Good night everyone!

Hi Ladies,

Now that Jim got home and dinner is over and I have spent time with him, I can read your posts.

Cathy, I am so glad that you had that appointment today. You really needed one.

Nancy, Hope your day went well.

Lainie, I am so very sorry for Rocky and for you. Please remember that God never shuts a door that He doesn't open another and maybe the next job will be much more suited to him. I am surprised this happened, because everything seemed to be going so well for him and I know that he made many friends in a short amount of time. Hopefully, he will get a job where the two of you will still be together. I can't imagine him moving to Ca. and you staying in Georgia. emoticon and emoticon for you both, dear friend!

Oh Lainie! I'm so glad to hear that the Atlanta job may be in Kennesaw. One, that's near me. Two, it's a nice area. It's enough outside of Atlanta that real estate isn't as pricey as in the city. We don't want you in CA either!! Great! I'm so glad his boss will write him a letter of recommendation. We'll just be praying that he's eligible for unemployment. God has some answers for him!

Lainie, glad Bailey has perked up.

Barbara, Priya is going to get a lot bigger. I couldn't believe how big Reese's was at 8 months when we got him and he has grown even more. Sasha is protecting her own property and owners........lol...Hope you get your brace soon and that it helps your problem.

Kathy, I hope all goes well for Linda's recovery from surgery.

Cathy, I am glad you had that appt after work too. I am happy he was able to help you. You sure did have a catch up for chatting today........that is good. I am glad you sister and bil are starting to take better care of their eating. If they follow the diet, then maybe they will see that they can lose w/o the surgery...I have known that to happen. Wishing them a lot of success in the next 6 months. I hope the info you gave your niece will help the doctors help her.

Oh Lainie, I am so sorry to hear this bad news. I am praying for both you and Rocky and that he does get another job really soon. Isn't there somewhere near you that he might get the same type of job w/o having to move away. I know you mentioned you may have to go live with you sister again, but hopefully something will come that you and Rocky will be able to stay where you are. Saying prayers and sending big hugs. Please try to stay strong and hopeful.......

Cathy, I'm hoping he will be able to collect unemployment. He was a contract worker up until January of this year. He has to wait for his termination papers before he can apply. Hopefully, he will get that on Friday. The job in the Atlanta area is in Kennesaw I believe. He's actually having an interview for the San Diego job right now. I would much rather he get a job in the Atlanta area than San Diego. I could move up to the Atlanta area, but not CA. At least I know someone in the area. His boss said he would write a letter of recommendation.

And can you get out of your lease and go back to your sister's or to a smaller place? Or come to Atlanta with Rocky? I already see you two right here! There is a condo right down the street from me. We'll be praying for a better job than the one he had! Are they writing him a letter of recommendation? That will help him in a job search. It would be nice if they'd give it to him in advance so that he knows what it says. I know your mind is racing because mine is.

Hang in there, sweet Lainie. This will work out in time. And you'll both make it through until then. Even when it doesn't feel like it.

Well, Rocky is now unemployed. I guess it didn't matter about all the great jobs he did for them. Rocky thinks that it all has to do with his pay. They really don't need him. They mentioned about possibly getting severance pay. They will know more on Friday. Friday is when they are going to tell the rest of the group. Then while they are all on their retreat, Rocky will go in and get all of his things and leave his key. It's been a horrible afternoon. Rocky has already sent his resume to a company in Atlanta and another one in San Diego. I have no idea what I'm going to do. I can't afford to live in Savannah on my own.

Oh Lainie, I have had you all on my mind all day. No wonder! Big hugs for your both. So glad to hear that the little bug your furry boy has is working it's way out. Sure hope he didn't share with the others.

Kathy, sounds like you all had a wonderful time today. How fun!

Hope Larry got good news today, Nancy. :)

It's been a busy afternoon for me. I saw my chiropractor after work. I'm so glad I had that appointment scheduled. I started with a migraine part way to work this morning. The chiropractor helped me feel better. On the way home, I called my Mom and talked with both my parents. We all laughed and had such a good time. After that, I talked with my sister in N.C. Then, my sister in VA texted me and we had a nice chat. It's been a big day for catching up!

My BIL in N.C. is working on having gastric bypass surgery in January. My sister is so excited for him. She'd like to have it in 2016. I'm encouraging her to follow the same eating plan he has to follow for the next 6 months and see what she can lose. They are starting to walk in the evening. I'm so happy for them.

My niece has such low iron levels that they can not get to a therapeutic level that they've asked her to find out if anyone in her family is hypothyroid. My sister thought she remembered me saying that I am. I told her all of my history and that our Aunt is hypothyroid also. Hopefully that will help them diagnose and treat my niece. She wants to have a baby next year.

Hope everyone has a wonderful evening. Hope to hear some news from you, Lainie. Sending big hugs and prayers your way.

Hi ladies,

I have been gone all day with my friend, Karen. Linda had surgery this morning, but did very well and is at home resting. She had polyps removed from her uterus. Karen and I stopped for lunch and people kept coming in that we know and we had a 3 hour lunch. She came in for a short time when we got home and I am trying to get a load of laundry and some Sparking done.

Cahy, I am glad that you spent last evening with your new book. I know that you had been looking forward to doing just that.

Nancy, I hope all went well with Larry at the Cardiologist and I am certain that he enjoyed his massage. What a nice neighbor you was to take the new neighbors a nice loaf of your sourdough bread.

Lainie, I know I saw this too late to be praying for Rocky at 3:00, but I am still praying for God's mercies in his life. I know that you have been on pins and needles.

Barbara, The place I go is also half PT and half gym. I hope you could do the eliptical machine. I remember trying it a few times and I didn't do too bad, but was very slow at it. The knees just wouldn't move very quickly. I am still hoping you get a brace. They just wrap around and fasten with velcro with the bars on the side covered by the canvas like material and they really are very comfortable and help with pain and keeping your knee cap in place,

Hi everyone, I went to the office today, then my son and wife stopped in for a visit. We just finished eating supper.

Lainie, keeping Rocky and you in my prayers, hoping for a positive outcome of their meeting.

Kathy sounds like you had a wonderful visit with Linda and Bill. Thanks for letting me know about your brace, still waiting to see it. They want me to go on the eliptical tomorrow to see if it's a machine to give me a good workout. Where I go is a new facility, one half is the physio therapy and the other half is a gym.

Cathy that's a great idea about exchanging books at Christmas.

Veronique very wise to stay home last night, Will continue to keep your son and family in my prayers.

Nancy, that was so kind of you to take a loaf of bread to your new neighbour.

Priya was here with Ryan and she has gotten so big, when she first came she was the same size but more rolly polly than our Sasha, now she makes two of Sasha, but our dog still tries to be the boss. She has never backed down from any dog irregardless of size. She is still very jealous of Priya.

Hello Ladies!!

Bailey perked up a little bit this morning. He stopped with the throwing up and now is onto having diarrhea. Poor little guy. I miss him chasing after my feet. So glad Rocky is here to take care of him. I sure hope he gets better soon.

I am having a rough day. I am letting all the worry get to me. I'm trying to be positive for Rocky's sake, but it is so hard. I've been praying. I know God will watch over us no matter what happens. I just hate seeing Rocky go through all of this.

Veronique, I think you did the best thing by staying home last night. You really shouldn't push yourself. I hope you're having a relaxing day today. Praying your son arrived safely at his destination.

Kathy, I'm glad you had such a nice time with Linda and Bill.

Nancy, that was nice of you to bring a loaf of sourdough bread to your new neighbors. I hope Larry's appt goes well today.

Well, Rocky just got an im from his boss saying that both owners want to talk to him at 3:00 today. I have a feeling that this may be them telling him that they are letting him go. He is beside himself right now. Please pray for him.

Hugs,

Lainie

Kathy, so happy your dinner was nice with Linda and Bill. It is nice to have such a good friend.

Lainie, Rocky's boss could be asking him to work from home for any of those reasons mentioned. You can only wait to see what happens. Try not to stress too much until you find out if you have worry, it won't change the outcome; just try to be HOPEFUL. Is Bailey going to the bathroom okay with the throwing up. Remember Asher was sick several days ago and got better on his own so it may just be a bug. Just watch him closely and his behavior.

Veronique, too bad you didn't feel well enough to go to the party at the French Embassy. I know you would have enjoyed that. I think you said your son is to arrive at his destination this morning? I hope he has safe travels. I will keep him and his family in my prayers.

Cathy, your books sound interesting. I am always reading something, but mine are on on my Nook and I always gt the free ones. Hope you day goes well at the office.

Hubby has a follow-up with the cardiologist this morning and a massage this afternoon. We canceled Sunday and Deborah canceled yesterday (and that is okay). Today should be the day b/c I won't need to cancel for any reason......lol.....Reese's got a nice bath last night from Larry while I went to visit the new neighbors and took them a loaf of sourdough bread to welcome them. They aren't actually in my neighborhood, but they back right up to me. She has been very ill and is better now. I met her before on her back patio, but hadn't met the husband until last evening. Both seem very nice.

Good morning all,

Seems I curled up with my book to early. There was a lot of chatting going on after I did. LOL! Veronique, I'm reading Robin Cook's series of Drs. Jack Stapleton and Laurie Montgomery. I love a good mystery and throw some medicine into it and I'm hooked. There are 10 books in all and it doesn't seem that I need to read them in order as long as I remember the family story and what I've read and what is out of order because I didn't realize this was a series when I first started it.

Lainie, it sounds like Rocky has a plan and is going to be OK regardless what happens tomorrow. I'm so happy about that. If he comes to Atlanta to work, even for a lesser salary, he'll likely be back to his current salary in no time. And he'll likely find a place in a close by suburb so that he won't have to pay the higher rents inside the perimeter. Depending on where his office would be, it's easy to find something outside the perimeter. Keeping you both in my prayers.

Nancy, it does sound like you both enjoyed the estate sale and that it was a good time for Reese's to learn to entertain himself without getting into trouble. He is growing up!

Kathy, I'm so glad you had a nice dinner party! You really needed that after the stress with Janet.

Veronique, I'm so glad you decided to stay home and continue your recovery. Though it would have been exciting to go to the French Embassy, you were better to take care of your healing body. Keeping your son and family in prayer. May they be safe throughout all that they are called to do.

Enjoy the day ahead! We're supposed to have a rainy one today. Just part of summer in GA. emoticon

Lainie, It is very possible that Rocky's boss is giving him some time away from the office because of what happened on Friday. I know that he has made a lot of good friends there. I am sorry about Bailey. Hopefully, he will be better tomorrow. Maybe his tummy is upset from chewing on so much plastic from the water bottles-just a thought.

Veronique, I can understand why you didn't go to the party at the French Embassy, but it sure would have tempted me. I have seen it from the outside, but never been inside. You do need to watch what you eat. When I had my gall bladder out, I could eat whatever I wanted once I started eating again. I hope your stomach clears up soon.

Good evening ladies!

Lainie - I am so sorry for Rocky and I can understand how worried you are. You are both in my prayers and as many friends said, we need to trust God. He has a plan for Rocky.
Cathy - I am happy you were able to get your library books. What are they?
Nancy - Reese's is such a rascal! You have to check on him every minute... You had a very busy day, and this estate sale sounds very nice.
Kathy - I feel for your Dad. Janet is really a piece of work... I an glad you had a nice dinner with your friends, I am sure it relieved some of your stress.
Barbara - it looks like you had a great week end! Good for you. Now I hope the doctor will find the perfect brace for your knee. It will help for sure.

Nothing much here. My son called from the airport and he is en route to Jerusalem right now. Today is Bastille Day and I was invited to a party at the French Embassy but decided not to go. Too tired and not feeling like having a lot of food. We had a bad thunderstorm tonight and lost our power for almost an hour.

Good night everyone!

Thank you, Nancy and Kathy! Rocky just got an email from his boss to work from home for the next few days and he will talk to him on Wednesday. He said that he has a lot to think about for the next couple of days. Rocky took it that he's lost his job. I told him that he doesn't want Rocky to go into work and possibly tell the others what is going on. His co-workers have always been supportive of him. I told him he could also be giving him time because of the break-up. I really don't think so, but I'm trying to be hopeful. Rocky has already updated his resume. He said that there is a job in Atlanta that he could apply for. The problem is that he won't be making as much as he does now.

Oh, and as if this isn't enough to stress us and worry us, little Bailey isn't feeling well today. He's thrown up a couple of times and he's just laying around. He smiles at me when I talk to him and wags his tail, but he usually nips at my toes when I walk through the living room.

Hi Ladies,

Linda and Bill did come for dinner and we had a grand time. They just left a little while ago. Therapy is fine, but I can't say that I see any difference in the pain level or the mobility of my arms. I am not discouraged. This is only my third week.

Nancy, I am glad that Larry got some great buys at the estate sale. I know that you was happy to do your sourdough bread today. It is funny the things that Reeses goes for. We use to buy pigs ears for our dogs and they loved them and they do last a long time. You made me smile..Jamie does cook, but he never knows when he will be home and he buys most of his groceries fresh and only a day or two at a time.

Cathy, I am happy that you got your books today. I smiled at the story of you and yours sisters wrapping and exchanging your books with each other at Christmas. I should do that with Jim's two sisters.

Lainie, I am also sending emoticon and emoticon for you and Rocky. I don't know what God's plan for Rocky is, but I do know that whatever it is, it will be the right thing for both of you.

Cathy, glad you got some books to read. That is funny when you told Asher it was a storm and he looked at you and then kept walking.

Lainie, when it rains it pours.....I am so sorry to hear that Rocky may be losing his job. Hopefully, something will change and he will be kept on. If not, hopefully the contacts he has can help him find another job. Or many he can go to an agency..... If this does happen, maybe the next job will be an even better one than he has now. I know you must be so stressed out right now and so must he be. Sending prayers and hugs my friend. Please try not too stress too much b/c you have to stay strong for both of you. Maybe if they know he is going to do more schooling, they will be willing to keep him on and maybe pay for the schooling. Prayers and more hugs to you.

Thank you for your kind words, Cathy! I'm definitely pumping him up. He doesn't seem as defeated as he was at first. In fact, he's a little excited by the prospect of maybe moving on. If they keep him, he plans on learning more about web design and taking classes on that. He's already looking into it. I think he's going to go ahead and get the new computer, because his Mac Book Pro isn't very fast for what he needs it for. He if does have to move away, I will stay here until our lease is up and I may have to go back to living with my sister or finding a place in Waycross where my niece just moved. I know everything will work out fine. We have God on our side. He always watches out for us.

emoticon and emoticon I'm so sorry, Lainie. I'm praying that God has a good answer in store. If they do let Rocky go that there is a better job right away for him. God doesn't close a window without opening a door. Hang in there, Lainie. Don't give up hope. This will all work out. Stay strong ... Rocky needs you to be strong for him.

BIG HUGS and lots of prayers, my dear friend!!
