Kitt, I think the ice might really help.....also the stretching you told me about.

Cathy, I think some are forgetting to write on the thread for lbs lost. I try to remind whenever I see that someone has lost. Well, Berkeley sure sounds like just the best little guy at the vet. I can just see his body wagging when he does his tail. Did just the low pressure light need resetting or was your tire low. Your mom and dad are right about the wind here. We are on a little hill, and we get wind almost all of the time. The other day I put clothes on the line and they were wrapping around the lines as fast as I could pin them on. I unwrapped them every once in a while and they did dry. On another day, I just gave up and brought them back in. lol

Congrats on your 6 pounds, Kathy. That's wonderful! And at a tough time to lose weight right after surgery.

Thanks for bringing up the thread for weight loss, Nancy. I need to get over there and add mine too!

Berkeley got his rabies shot this morning. We were at the vet a good while. When Dr. Bird walked in, she apologized for making us wait so long. They'd already told me she was with an emergency patient. I was so glad we were not the emergency! I was happy to sit on the bench cuddled up with Berkeley and soothe him into a little nap. When he got up to the table to see Dr. Bird, he welcomed her with big kisses and a wiggly behind! He wags his tail with all of himself. LOL!

Then, we had to go to the car dealership. First cold night and my low tire pressure light comes on. They reset it for me and we were on our way in about 10 minutes.

I talked to Mom and Dad for the last couple of hours. They said the wind there is really hard. It is here too. We don't have snow here in metro Atlanta, but we do have it in the north GA mountains. I'm glad not to have any.

Have fun at the wedding, Kathy! I'm sure you and Jim will look so nice and have such a good time!

Kathy, It is cold here too and drizzly......not really raining. emoticon to you for losing the 6 lbs you gained and have now lost. Don't forget to put it on our "weight loss track" thread. We are adding up the lbs on their and I think we will really do it.

Cathy, the weight loss thread was such a good idea. I hope everyone will remember to put their losses on there, even it they gained and lost again........that doesn't matter.

Kathy, Reese's is young to have these issues. Hopefully, it will be all better really soon. He has eagerly eaten his lunch and has had no problem. Our last lab had IBS and I sure hope Reese's isn't heading in that same track. Time will tell or not tell. Larry will be home this evening close to dinner or a little after. His son needs to get back home tonight. I guess it is good that Em didn't come with AJ, b/c he is sick with a cold and fever. Dr. appt yesterday and got checked out....no ear/throat infections.....I really haven't done much today except go to the grocery and then to get my hair cut. I had to make Reese's another batch of Chicken/rice. He is here at my feet asleep. He is so sweet. He has been sleeping in our bedroom (instead of his crate) for the past several nights and has done really well. I like that better. That is odd that the first night he slept there he was vomiting. We would't have heard him if he had been in his crate. I hope you and Jim enjoy the costume wedding.. try to get a photo.

Hi Ladies,

I am enjoying my coffee and thought I would pop in before we leave to go and pick up my meds and go to the grocery store. I am showered, so all I have to do later is dress for the wedding. Jim finished his coffee and is showering and shaving now. It is cold here and rainy.

Cathy, I am so happy to see you back with us. I have had to learn not to stress about not Sparing every day. I felt if I didn't, all of the weight would come right back on. I did gain 6 pounds after surgery, but I have lost that and I want to congratulate you on the weight loss of 34 big pounds. It is awful the way that they hide things in foods and then pass them off as healthy. I learned that the hard way several years ago when they started toting fat free. Berkley is such a cutie and I am happy that he and Asher are good brothers to each other.

Barbara, I can't touch a chip without just diving in. It doesn't bother me to have them in the house for Jim, but I don't dare try to eat just a few of them because a few of them turn into half the bag. I totally understand why you are going to throw yours away if Shannon doesn't take them with him.

Nancy, I hope Reeses is on the mend. It may be that he just has a very sensitive digestive system. It is just that he is so young to be having these issues. When is Larry coming home? I know that you will be more than glad to have him back home from this trip. Try to relax a little and maybe do something that you enjoy this afternoon.

Depending on when we get home, I may check back tonight. I don't know how late we will be from the reception. The dinner is at 6:00 and the wedding is about an hour away from us.

Barbara, hopefully Shannon will take them with him. Chips are my downfall more so than sweets........I am not doing much today. I have to run to the store to get more chicken for Reese but that is about all. I tried giving him one of the nausea and he just didn't want it. I finally mashed it and put it in pumpkin and he got part of it and then some came back up. He was doing better before I tried "forcing" that. I called and the doctor is going to call me back. He has stopped some of the drooling since I am leaving him alone. He did take the Pepcid okay though. The person at the office said not to keep trying to give it to him if he was drooling more and making it come up. Will see what the doctor wants to do if anything different. Too bad about the kitties still hissing......lol

Cathy, we are so happy he enjoys the time at socializing too.

The vet office just called back and offered me to bring him for another injection for nausea, but I told her I think he finally got most of the pill down in the pumpkin. After I stopping trying to get him to take it, he has settled down and not drooling buckets. I just don't like not being able to be in touch with the office in case I need them. If I have a problem I have to call the emergency vet and take him there. None of the vets here have hours after regular hours.....you have to go to the "emergency" vet. Hopefully we won't need to do anything else and he will get better.

LOL! Barbara. I wasn't sure that Asher was going to be sweet to Berkeley at first either, but Berkeley has never met a stranger, so he made himself right at home. Asher had to make friends or else. It's so funny to watch. They are just perfect together.

Nancy, I'm glad Reese's enjoys his day care days. I have three friends that do that for their dogs and they love it. I think they all want to be social in some way. Well, maybe not Sasha. LOL!

Cathy Berkeley is so sweet, him and Asher make a good pair. I'm glad they get along so good.

My Sasha is so jealous of other dogs or cats, I'd love to get another Yorkie for her but I'm afraid it wouldn't work out. I know with my cats it didn't work out. We have a female and a year later got another one to be a play mate, that was almost 10 years ago and they are still hissing at each other.

So good to see you here Cathy, and well done on losing those pounds, they can pile up quickly, especially when we are fooling ourselves, glad you figured it all out. I know when they have fat free foods they usually add sugar which is not a good thing especially if you are a diabetic.

Nancy, am hoping Shannon will eat them or take them with him when he goes away tomorrow, if not in the garbage it will go... I can't have it in the house.

Doing laundry, dishes, and need to make those peanut butter cookies.

Cathy, so glad you are here with us. So happy you got it figure out with the gluten products. Seems there is always something hiding that we must look really hard for. So glad you got back to your happy weight. It is such a good feeling. Thank you for the well wishes for Reese's and Larry. Berkeley is such a cutie......I know that Asher being the good boy he is, has really tried and done well with him. I think another dog is really good for him. Taking Reese's to day care the couple times he has has been there has been so rewarding for him. It was such a good thing to see him running, jumping and playing with the other dogs. He is completely pooped when he gets home. I hope your work will ease up a bit for you...b/c it would sure relief some stress there. So glad you are back....no worry about not stopping each day, just come by when you can.

Good morning all!

It's been a long time since I've been here and I know I'll never catch up on all your news. I do see that I need to comment on a few things though.

Kathy, I'm so sorry about Janet. I know that you and your Dad did not need that. You are in my prayers. I'm so glad you are doing so well after your surgery.

Nancy, so sorry that Reece's is sick but glad that Larry is doing so well.

Lainie, you have a high stress job. I know that I couldn't do it. I hope today is a better day. Do you have to work today?

Barbara, I cannot keep chips in my house. I really do like them and don't always stop at a serving, so I just don't keep them around. I understand what happened.

I hope Veronique is OK.

Kitt, hope your shoulder is better today.

It's been really busy at work and still is. I don't know that I'll get here on a daily basis. And, if you're on Facebook, you know that I have a new puppy, Berkeley. He and Asher really love each other. They play well together and Asher has worked hard to train him to be such a good boy. Today, Berkeley and I need to run into town to the vet for his rabies shot. We'll see one of my favorite vets, so that will be nice. This will be the end of his puppy shots.

While I was away, I took the opportunity to get myself back to my happy weight. I'm delighted to be back here. I had taken my gluten allergy as gluten-free = healthy = eat! Not so much! Gluten-free means they have substituted with something else. Depending on what it is, it may have more calories than the non-gluten-free version. In my search for 1) days without migraines and 2) products I could eat, I gained 33 pounds. In the time I've been away, I've lost 34 pounds. I love feeling healthy again! I love having my two little fur babies who are so happy together. Now, if work would just calm down a bit, life would be so much more peaceful. LOL!

Wishing everyone a lovely Saturday!

~ Cathy

Barb,, thanks for the comments and good wishes for Reese......As far as the potato chips, will Shannon eat them. If not, just give to a neighbor or just throw away if they are too much of a temptation. Maybe Shannon could give them to some hunting pals.

good morning.

Sorry you didn't get your calls to get your bonus Lainie. I know you work hard.

Kathy enjoy the wedding, when my cousin got married she wanted everyone to dress up in "hippie" theme.

Nancy glad that Reese's seems to be a bit better, hopefully will continue to improve as the day goes on. Glad Larry will be home tonight. Good thing your neighbor was around for you.

We have left over potato chips, and I got into them last night. I will be much stronger today, hopefully Shannon will get rid of them.

Lainie, I am so sorry you didn't get enough calls for your bonus. Hopefully next time.

Kathy, can you not record the game to watch at a later time. I too have been thinking about Veronique.....she did say she would be busy so I guess that is why she isn't here. I will try to call her today.

Reese's did sleep all night and hasn't vomited anymore. I am sure he still isn't feeling well b/c he is drooling a little. He was a little playful last night (very little). I hope as the day goes on, he will be better. One of the meds she gave him is for motion sickness and he has one for today and one for tomorrow as well as the Pepcid. She said dogs don't usually "catch" things like a bug while being around other dogs so he probably did not get something at the day care. He is eating the chicken/rice/pumpkin okay. Larry is coming home late this evening and I will be glad about that.

Hi Ladies,

Just checking in before heading down the hall to bed. I am looking forward to the wedding, as I have never been to one with a theme like this. The wedding and reception are at a country club, so hopefully, the dinner will be good. I am thinking it will probably be a buffet, as we had no cards to check what meat we would choose. Anyway, I will have something to tell you all on Sunday. The bad news is that I am going to miss my Ohio State Buckeyes play tomorrow night.

Nancy, We all need a pity party occasionally and I am happy that your neighbor was home to make some tea and just chat with you. I'm glad Reeses appears to be on the mend.

Lainie, I am so sorry that you didn't get your bonus. You work so many hours that I feel you deserve it.

Veronique hasn't been here lately. I am hoping that all is well with her and Philippe.

I am just waiting for 10:00 so I can let Reese out for the last time tonight. As you all know, I am already gone south by now. I am sure if we went to bed now,, he would be fine, but Larry usually lets him out at 10:00 so I don't want to rock his boat any more than it has been rocked today. He seems to be feeling some better and so far the food has stayed down.

Lainie, I am so sorry you haven't made it yet, but there is still time....at least, I hope. Thank you for the comment for Reese.

Kathy, You two have sure been busy today......I hope you enjoy the party tomorrow night. Have someone take a picture so you can post it. Pity party, doesn't that just sound so sad. I did feel better when I came back home though. Larry isn't actually hunting this weekend. It is the hunt camp annual meeting and he is going to put out his corn spreader. If he gets a chance he wants to go do something at Joey's house, b/c Joey didn't get to go this weekend. I might watch my soap until 10 or I just might play on the computer. Maybe will go to bed at 9:30 instead of 10......lol I am tired, b/c I have been so stressed today. On a positive note. tomorrow is going to be better. Goodnight.

I had a busy day. Jim and I cleaned the house and changed the sheets on our bed. I then did 3 loads of laundry and paid the mortgage and electric bill. I talked to a good friend while Jim was out running errands. I am tired tonight, so just kicking back and taking it easy. We have a wedding to go to tomorrow night. They have asked that everybody come in costume, so Jim and I are going as Charlie Brown and Lucy. I teased him because I get to carry the football.

Nancy, I am so glad that Reeses is doing a little better. Maybe he will be back to himself tomorrow. I hope Larry gets a deer. I'm glad that you was able to have a pity party with your neighbor.

Kitt, Take it easy with that shoulder. Nancy is right, ice is one of the best things for it.

Lainie, I hope you got your bonus. You have more than earned it.

Kitt, please take care of yourself and don't do too much......I hope you are feeling better tomorrow.....Did you try putting some ice on your shoulder.

Reese's seems pretty good right now. Since 5:00 he has had 3 one half cups of the chicken/rice/pumpkin and so far it has stayed down. He was to get 2 cups in after we got home. Also, I have to put the meds in his ears again. I sure wish Larry was here.....although Reese will let me do it with no problem.....He is drinking some water too.

Will check in tomorrow.....have a great evening.

Thank all of you for your good wishes for Reese's.As for Reese's, we really don't know why he was sick. They didn't find anything on the ex-ray that he might have eaten.....although they did say sometimes, some things don't show up. They did NOT find any rocks or such. They gave him an injection for nausea and also he has to take pepcid for at least 2 days and also another rx pill that helps with nausea. 3 days of chicken-rice-pumpkin several times a day. When we got home, he got on his bed and didn't get up EVEN when I ran the ice maker to fill my glass. He always runs from where ever he is when he hears the ice maker. I was really worried. I took him a piece of ice and he wouldn't take it at all. I waited a few minutes and gave it to him again and he ate it. He has had a 1/2 cup of the food twice and ate it heartily. He didn't get anything after we were home until 5:00 so I guess the meds starting working for nausea. He still gets 1 more cup tonight. He does have a yeast infection in his ears so we also got meds for that. Before we got him he had ear infections at least 2 times. It could be from allergies but probably won't know for sure for another year. (don't ask me why for that one). I called my neighbor this afternoon and asked did she want to have a pity party and she asked me over for a nice cup of peach tea. Larry did go to camp with his son coming to drive him. It is okay for him to drive, but the son was going and said he would drive. I am happy about that.

Barb, I have had those cookies before and they are really good.

Lainie, I am hoping you got the calls you needed for the bonus. I really think you have worked so hard and deserve it. I am sorry your throat is still sore but glad Rocky felt well enough to go to work. I hope both of you recover quickly.

Kathy, I sure hope things are better with Janet today. It is a shame that even as sick as she is, she still causes problems. Praying for all of you.

Hello Ladies!

Another really busy day for me. I still have the slight sore throat. I'm pretty sure it's from sinus drainage during the night. Rocky went to work today. He's feeling better; no chills today. I'm so tired right now. I'm thinking I may take a little power nap before I have to do another round of confirming. Most of the day I've been dealing with confirming. I just started calling for myself about an hour ago and so far haven't gotten any appointments. There is still time, so I won't give up yet.

I've decided not to give out candy this year. I think this is the first time ever. I'm just not in the mood to deal with the dogs going crazy every time someone comes to the door. I'm going to put a sign on the door. I think we will turn the TV way up so drown out the kids in the hallway, but these dogs have good hearing.

Barbara, that is sweet of you to send cookies out with Shannon. I'm sure he appreciates it. Glad he will be able to get out of jury duty. As Nancy mentioned, it's not too easy here.

Nancy, I'm so sorry to hear that Reese's isn't feeling well. I pray that he gets better soon. Please let us know how he's doing.

Kathy, I'm so sorry your dad is having to deal with Janet's tantrums. You would think she would be quiet and calm with a hole in her heart. I'd be afraid to do anything. Have you found out yet if there is a way to fix it? Praying for your family.

Hope everyone has a great rest of the day!! Take care!!

Hugs,

Lainie

Will say a prayer for Reese's, hope it's nothing serious Nancy.

One reason he can be exempt is because his boss wouldn't pay him for jury duty. Right now his boss is in Las Vegas, but will be home next week, so we'll get the papers ready for him to sign and send it in.

Kathy, they go out about 2 to 3 hours, haul their pots then come in, so he is gone about 8 to10 hours at the first of the season. Oh dear so sorry to hear Janet is causing a ruckus. Your poor Dad.

Oh Nancy, I am so sorry that Reeses is sick. I am praying that it is nothing major. Maybe he picked up a virus from another dog at doggie daycare. You know, like kids do when they go to school. I know you are on pins and needles waiting for that phone call.

Barbara, Those cookies sound so good that you are baking for Shannon. I hope he gets a deer. During lobster season, does he stay out on the water or does he come in at night? We have Trick or Treat on the 30th because so many adults have parties an college kids are out on Halloween night and that makes it safer for the little ones.

Lainie, I sure hope 3 people answered their phones so you can get your bonus. I also hope that you and Rocky are feeling better.

No news so far today on Janet. I will call my sil or Dad later this afternoon. Last night, Valerie said that Janet is raising a real ruckus at the hospital. They can't understand much of what she is saying, mostly she just screams at everybody. My heart breaks for my Dad.

Good luck on getting your bonus.....I sure hope you get the phones answered. I hope you and Rocky are feeling much better today.

Kathy, so glad you appt with the dr went so well. It won't be long before you can post as much as you want........just do what you are supposed to do. The TENS unit is such a great tool and I am glad it helps you. Glad the trick or treating went well. So nice of Valerie to take your dad to the hospital......I hope that Janet continues to get better. It is good that she is breathing on her own.

Barb, Sorry Shannon got called for jury duty. Glad he can get out of it b/c of his work since this is the best money making time. Here, it doesn't matter about your job to get out of jury duty. We told them Larry had to get everything ready for the technicians to do the jobs and that he was the only one that could do estimates to get jobs. That didn't matter. BUT he didn't have to do it, b/c we moved to NC before they called him. There was a lady that was nursing and they told her she couldn't exempt...another lady was airline stewardess and flew out of the country.....she didn't get exempt either. Now Larry won't have to go b/c of his age. After 70, you don't have to have duty unless you just want to.

Reese's is sick and I don't know what is wrong. We had to leave him at the vet and I am waiting for them to call me. Larry has just left for the hunt camp. Please say a prayer that nothing major is wrong.

Good morning everyone.

Emily sure hope you soon start to get your energy and strength back and can assume normal day's work. Those shingles sure knocked you for a loop. When my husband had them it seems he was only sick for about a week, but I do know others suffer for a long time.

Kathy, continuing to keep your family in my prayers, that's really something what happened. Is there a reason you hold trick or treat the night before?

Nancy, I baked cookies for Shannon to take in the woods, will do another batch for him on Saturday, probably peanut butter ones this time. Yest. was thumb print cookies, well we call them Barbara ann cookies.... basic cookie dough with brown sugar, roll in balls then indent top with your thumb and add jam on top. I used raspberry jam. Larry is doing so good after having cateract done.

Kitt what's on your schedule today? Have things slowed down for you now that your garden is harvested?

Shannon got called to jury duty, selection starting November 24th, there is no way he can attend, it's opening season of lobstering. That's his job and it's when they do their best money-wise. So he will have to fill out the papers to be exempt from this.

Hi Ladies,

I am finally able to post. My doctor appointment couldn't have gone better. He was very happy with me and said that I am ahead of schedule with healing. However, the bad part was that he still doesn't want me on the computer more than 30 minutes a day. I was hoping he would add a little time, but no dice.

Therapy also went well. We are working on strengthening those muscles and I sure can feel it. I am using my TENS Unit right now.

Trick or Treat went well. The kids were so cute and those that know us, wanted to come in the house and show off their costumes for everybody. My brother and his wife are always here for Trick or Treat. The weather is very cool, but no rain. They are done for the night.

I don't have any more news on Janet. Valerie took my Dad up to the hospital today, but they can't get any answers from the doctor. She is breathing on her own, but is having chest pains and the nurse was saying that is normal. Who knows? My Dad and family truly appreciates your prayers and concerns. This is one incredible group.

I am very tired and going to bed soon.

Just a quick hello! I've been so busy with work today. Lots of confirming most of the day and a lot of people calling me. Very hectic! I have one more round of confirming in CA and then I will be done. I still have 2 hours before I have to do that. I'm try to get in some more calls for me and since it's the end of the month, I'm trying to set more appointments. I need to get 3 more appointments between now and the end of my work day tomorrow to qualify for a $50 bonus. It's doable if I could get these people to answer their phones.

I'm dealing with a little sore throat yesterday and today. I'm thinking it might be from sinus drainage. Rocky came home from work early, because he's not feeling well. He's had chills all day and looks a little pale. Hopefully, we both will be well soon.

Praying for everyone!! Hope everyone has a great evening!!! Take care!!

Hugs,

Lainie

Barbara, thanks for your comments for Larry. Today was 1-day post-op and all if well. He only has restrictions on heavy lifting. Driving is okay and he can go hunting this weekend and also no problem with riding the 4-wheeler.

Dee, glad you stopped in to say hello.

Kathy, I am so sorry for all that has happened to Janet.....it is really strange, but I guess it could happen like that......oh my......I am sending hugs and prayers to you and your family. Headache was gone this morning. Thanks for asking. That is cute that your dad wanted Hershey bars.

Barb, No painting, I understand...When we lived at Lake Anna, (really country) when hunt season came, all of the construction about stopped b/c everyone was hunting. Did Shannon get anything yet. Larry may bow hunt tomorrow, not sure yet. He has to stop and get his archery permit on the way to camp.

Kitt, nice of you to offer support for Kathy as well as the rest of us are. This reallyis a sad time for her and her family. Kitt, I am so glad your dad loves the pies and even more glad that you like making them for him. I think his good mood was from the pie also.

Emily, glad you got a tablet.....I am thinking of getting a laptop/tablet combination. I have been looking at one by Dell and it is on sale right now. I don't have a smart phone, so can only used my laptop. I depend on Carla for all of my computer advice so we are talking about it. I think my laptop is going bad b/c it has "cut off" 3 times for no seeming reason. I think it is getting too hot.

I have a cake in the oven for Larry to take to camp.......We did several errands today. Got more corn for the corn feeder at camp, etc. Just finished putting icing on the cake....you ut it on while the cake is hot. .......

Kathy, I am so sorry about Janet. I know things happen sometimes but that doesn't help. I'll keep her and your Dad in my prayers.

This has been some ordeal. Once I get something done around the house and manage a bit of exercise I am finished for the day and can't seem to manage to get on line. I bought a tablet and just realized recently I can get to SP & FB so maybe I can use that to say a quick hi when my computer is off. As long as the Wifi is running I can get online with the tablet. I am usually horizontal after 1PM, so that thing might be my go to for a bit lol!

I am starting to feel a little better. The burning pain is better and only seems really miserable when it seems the pill is wearing off. I go back again to the doctor in about a month and then he may change the medication or try to ween me off. Time will tell. I sure wish I had more energy but I guess with the medications I have to expect to be tired a lot.
I also posted a blog the other day when I had some energy.
Thank you all for your continued support and good thoughts and prayers. Hugs!!

Good Evening Ladies,

I just got off the phone from my Dad. I talked to him for almost two hours, which I don't know that we have ever talked on the phone that long. He told me that the doctor told him that Janet's leg jerked during the procedure and that is how it happened. Dad said that he had warned the doctor before the procedure that her right leg jerks and the doctor just looked at him. I don't know what happened, but this makes about as much sense as anything. She is hanging in there and I hope that Dad gets some sleep tonight. No matter how this happens, nobody deserves this sort of event. Thank you for your prayers.

Nancy, Thank you for calling me after you read my post. I really appreciated it and I do enjoy talking to you every time we talk. I am glad that Larry is doing well and hope his headache is better tomorrow.

Barbara, How is the painting project going? I know you will love the room when it is done.

Lainie, I know that you are happy to earn the extra money, but that is a lot of hours to work. It doesn't leave you much time for anything else.

Dee, It is good to hear from you. I hope your school year is going well.

I probably won't be here until tomorrow night, if at all. I have a doctor appointment, therapy, and then we have Trick or Treat tomorrow night. It is going to be a very busy day with one thing right after another. Dad did tell me to send him home some Hershey Bars with my brother and sil tomorrow night. lol

Glad that Larry is home and all went well. That is so nice that his doctor phoned to check on him.

Oh dear Lainie, you are working quite a bit, I wouldn't want 7 days a week. Hopefully they will find someone.

Never heard of anything like that happening Kathy, hope your dad will be alright. You are right you will be there for him.

Kathy, so happy I got to talk with you. I sure hope all will go well for Janet. I will have all of you in my prayers. Sending hugs.

Lainie, You sure will be tired working all of those hours. I know it will be more money, which is always nice, but it sure is a lot of "work" time. I do hope they find someone soon. I can tell you they are very fortunate to have you working for them. Most people just do not want to work all of those hours and every single day. I don't think I could work 7 days a week for any length of time....Well, I guess I "could", but I wouldn't want to on a regular basis.

Hubby has a headache but doesn't want to take any Tylenol just yet. I am very impressed with his doctor. She (herself) just called to see how he is doing. Usually the out-patient unit calls each patient to check on them the same day or the next day. But this doctor called. She is really a caring doctor. There was an accident with Mom in that office (the table that sits between the doctor/patient would not stop going down when she released the pedal. It was really crushing down on Mom and she was screaming. The doctor was trying so hard to hold it up so it couldn't go down. The doctor finally got Mom out of the chair and took care of the cut on her arm and then insisted she go to the hospital to see if the table had broken anything. That evening she called and checked on my mom and again the next day. You don't have a doctor themselves calling to check on patients very often. We both really like her.

Have to run and check on dinner. Will check in later.

Hello Ladies!

This morning my sister called me just to chat. It's hard to find time to talk since we're on opposite time zones. Both Maddux and Paxton were at school and she was feeding Lennox, so we talked while she was doing that. She said she forgot how hard it is to have 3 little ones. It's been many, many years since her 3 were little. Erin had to run an errand and it was just her and Lennox. We couldn't talk long because I was in the middle of confirming appointments. It was great to hear her voice.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this or not, but the guy who was confirming event appointments no longer works for us. Not sure what happened, but they changed the conference call number and we are back to reading a protection warning when setting appointments. I will be confirming all the event appointments for Friday thru Monday, as well as the webinar appointments I usually do. It's very time consuming. I will get a lot of people calling me back. I'm not sure how much of my owning calling I will get in. Hopefully, they will find someone to take over soon. I like the extra money, but it's tiring working 7 days a week.

Nancy, I was thinking of Larry this morning and praying for him. So glad everything turned out okay for him.

Barbara, I don't care for dark green either. The mint green sounds nice and soothing. Hope you had a great day at the office.

Kitt, I hope you're enjoying your time with your day. I'm sure he loved the apple pie.

Kathy, I am so sorry about what happened to your dad's wife. That is very strange. I don't think I've ever heard of that happening, although no one is perfect and I'm sure it happens. Is there anything that they can do for her? I know your dad must be very upset. So glad that your sister-in-law is there for him. Praying for everyone!!

Hope everyone has a great rest of the day! Take care!

Hugs,

Lainie

Hi Ladies,

What a day this has been and nothing I can do right now. A nurse practitioner talked my Dad's wife into have a heart cath done to see if something there caused the mild stroke that she had in April. When they did it this morning, the doctor accidentally poked a hole in her heart. She is in CCU in critical condition. My brother is out of town, so my SIL is with my Dad and I think one of her kids went up to the hospital. I do not understand how in the name of Pete this happened. I have never heard of it happening. If she lives, which I doubt, I feel that she will probably never go home. I have no idea what to think. Right now, I have to be here for Dad and always will be.

Nancy, I am so glad that Larry did well. It is amazing what they can do today. That magnet over his defib. is really cool.

Barbara, I know that you will be happy to have that dark green paint gone and the room painted a nice pretty color. I hope all went well at the office.

Kitt, I hope you enjoyed your day with your Dad. I am sure that Gary appreciated that you baked a pie for him also. lol I know that my guys sure like their pie! It is nice that his lady friend will be there with him.

Thank all of you for you prayers for Larry. We are back home and Hubby's surgery went well with no problems. During the surgery they had to put a magnet over the defibrillator so the equipment didn't mess anything up. It is amazing what they can do in today's time.

Barb, sounds nice for the nice mint green color for the other bedroom. Hope you get done what you need to do at the office before your boss goes away for the weekend. Maybe this afternoon you can get your in-house decorating done.

Kitt, enjoy your day with your dad.....I know Gary and the neighbor will enjoy the pie as much as your dad. I love apple pie too. I am wishing all of us a good week too.

Good Morning ladies....

Nancy as barb said, we will be keeping Larry close in our prayers.....and you too...I know just waiting can be so exhausting .....

Barb painting is a lot of work but it will be beautiful when it's done....I tend to light colors as well

Kathy Jims going to need a good long rest by Thursday...that is some long hours....good he enjoys the work...We never did get much more than a few sprinkles, my Dad reported more rain in Brook Park....I am going there today to spend the day with him and his lady friend should be there too...of course i made him a pie....and one for home, Gary loves apple pie too, as does our neighbor, gary promised him a piece ...he asked me not to send him a whole pie as he eats it all at one time ...lol

Thanks Nancy for the nice comment on my blogs, I have heard a lot of positive feed back from people....that makes me feel good and helps me stay motivated as well....

Good morning.

Keeping Larry in my prayers as he goes for his cataract operation this morning. My sister in law is waiting to have hers.

Kathy what a long day for Jim and then needs to do it again today.

Lainie, bad Bailey, but glad he doesn't eat the paper, just shreds it.

Nancy Reese's is going to enjoy his day with his playmates and trainer. How helpful the trainer is going to bring him back to the house.

Not much going on here, I need to go to the office for a few hours this morning, but something important I need to do before my boss leaves the country this weekend. I wanted to get a few decorations for hallowe'en out, I don't do the outside but like to put some inside the house. I'm late this year, so that will probably be what I'll do this afternoon.

Shannon is planning to start putting primer paint on the other bedroom, this one will be harder to paint because the walls are a dark green. My son's bedroom and his choice, I just left it that way, but now it is time to change. We had so much paint left from our bedroom that we are going to do it the same colour, a nice mint green. I'll be so happy when it's all done.

Kathy Jo, that sure is a long day for Jim and to do it again today, he will be exhausted. Hope all goes well. Thank you for your prayers for Larry and yes, I am sure he will be fine too. Yes, daycare if like Reese's having a play date. I am so happy Deborah pointed us to this place. Everyone there is so nice. You know, they let the dogs out every 2 hrs to go potty even on the weekends. That is exceptional b/c most places only let them out 3 times the whole day. Also, the trainer being so nice as to offer to bring him home. He is a great guy. That sure was a big drop in temps after your storm yesterday. Now it is going to start being cold again...... emoticon . I hope you find something you really enjoy doing while Jim is working so long today.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Evening Ladies,

Jim had to work 14 hours today and he said he thinks tomorrow will be another long one. All of the dealers are taking their unsold 2014 cars to auction because the 2015s are out and they can only handle so many cars. Today and tomorrow are all GM cars.

Nancy, My prayers are with Larry as he has his cataract surgery. I know that he will be happy that he had it when he is able to see things so much clearer. I am sure that Reeses will have a great time at daycare. It is like kids having play dates.

Kitt, We did get thunderstorms this afternoon. They weren't too bad, but the storms sure made the temps drop. The temps went from 70-55 in the span of 15 minutes.

Lainie, I guess that you are going to have to hide all of your paper items from Bailey. Are there any newer pictures of him on FB?
