Hi ladies.

Got up and went grocery shopping first thing this morning, so have that chore out of the way. Going to put a roast beef in the oven for our supper tonight, will add carrots and potato to it. Also going to bake a buttercup squash.

The sun was out this morning, but looking overcast and rain is predicted for later.

Cathy that fireplace sounds so cozy and inviting, you are fortunate. We used to have a wood and oil furnace, I love wood heat, but it was a lot of work. So we replaced it with an oil furnace.

Kitt you are right, we are never organized. I wish I had your love of cleaning, I have always hated housework, I feel good when it's done, but just never liked it.

Lainie, that is great you got your bonus for last month. Hope your voice returns and you start to feel better.

Kathy, that is nice that you and Jim got to go vote. How is your dad doing, continuing to keep him in my prayers.

Missing Veronique, hope all is alright, and she is just busy.

Kitt, No, we don't actually know what was wrong with Reese''s to make him vomit. He does have a slight yeast infection in his ears but not sure that would make him vomit. He is doing much better and we are still headed towards all dog food. Today should be the last day for the chicken/rice. it is now a 75% dog food with 25% chicken/rice. Tomorrow all dog food. We want to take him to "play care" today but I guess I should check with the vet to see if that ear infection is contagious. He has been on themed since Friday so I would think he is okay.

Kathy, glad Jim did get home in time to vote. Was it crowded at the last minute?

Lainie, I hope you are feeling better today. Carla now has the start of a cold with her voice fading out and so did someone in her office. Must be some particular "bug" that is going around.

Cathy, that warm inviting fire must really relax you. I think we all need to have a way to relax before we go to bed b/c that will help us sleep so much better. We didn't have to wait in line to vote. We were next when we got there. The line was steady but not having to wait was good. I do hope the coders get everything to your group so no one has to work over the weekend. That would be ideal.

This weekend my friend and I are going to an open house at a place called Country Collections. It is an old 3-story barn and it is filled with crafts, Amish made furniture, candles, quilts, paintings, etc. Loads of things. Food vendors will also be there with their homemade apple butter, Brunswick stew and some homemade sweet treats. Cathy, have you hear of that place,....it is in Stuart's Draft?

We go bowling today, so wish us luck.

Good morning, dear friends,

Boy did I have a good night's sleep! I almost fell asleep in front of the fire. I kept wanting to close my eyes and knew I'd wake up out there so I didn't. I missed a call because I forgot to turn my phone volume back on. I was so ready to sleep that I didn't return the call last night. Today will be fine.

When I went to vote yesterday, there was no line! I filled out my form, got my card, and voted. But, it seems there were lines around the block in Atlanta. I had to go to a new for me voting place. Funny thing was, it was a school in the city where I used to live.

Lainie, I'm praying you feel better today!

Kitt, I prefer to stay organized too. I need to know where things are. Just makes life easier.

Nancy, you're going to have such fun with your old friend.

Barb, I bet you did get a lot done in the office.

Hopefully today is going to be a busy day at work. We're wanting the coders to get a lot of code to us so that we can be busy testing so the staff don't have to work over the weekend. That would be wonderful!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi Ladies,

Jim did get home in time to go and vote. He said that they weren't nearly as busy today as they have been and he was home before 6:30. He always calls me when he gets in him truck to let me know he is on his way home, so I had my jacket on and walked out the door as soon as he pulled into the drive.

Lainie, I am sorry that you are still sick and will remember you in my prayers. I am glad that you took today off work and very happy that you got your 50.00 bonus.

Cathy, I would have been happy to win the almond milk. The chair massages sound like an awesome way to spend part of a work day.

Nancy, I am happy that you have a friend coming to visit you for the weekend and that Reeses is almost back to normal.

Barb, I laughed at your remark to Kitt about being organized enough.

Kitt, I also peel all of my eggs for the week at once. Jim eats more of them than I do.

Lainie, like I said on FB, I was worried that you would lose your voice. The best thing is to rest it and I am glad you took today off. I hope you are much better tomorrow. I AM so HAPPY that you got the bonus for October.......yay..... emoticon Still have you in my prayers.

Cathy, does seem you really don't want to do that folding of laundry. I know you will do it though. Wow, good for getting a massage or two today. Nice that you won the Almond milk too. That was a booby prize worth your getting.

BArb, glad you got a lot done at work today. That always made me feel good. Sorry Shannon didn't get his deer yet, but at least he can hunt right there where you live. That is good.

Dinner done, just going to relax a little....

Hi everyone. Today was office day and I worked 6 hours, so a lot was accomplished.

Lainie really hope your voice comes back and you are feeling much better. Wow 90 deg is quite warm. It was warm here because the sun was out at 48 deg.

Cathy your boys are so cute. I really enjoyed the blog about friends you wrote.

Prayers for your family Kathy, your poor dad, he really has a hardship with his wife. That is so nice that Jamie will be coming to watch the games.

Nancy, that is so good for Reese's to be able to have play date tomorrow while you bowl. So good for him to socialize.

Kitt, you will have everything organized.

Well Shannon arrived home around 1pm today. The other fellow got his deer yest. so home they came. Shannon said the camp was full. Guess guys just arrive without notice. So he didn't mind coming home as he can hunt from here, it's a 1/2 mile into to his tree stand.

Oh Lainie, I'm so sorry that you are still feeling so poorly. Keeping you in my prayers for a speedy recovery.

Kathy, I'm so sorry that your Dad didn't get to work the polls today. Just doesn't seem fair at all. I know he is looking forward to seeing you.

LOL! Your saying you had the last of the laundry almost done reminds me that I have some in the dryer. It's laundry for the boys, so it's fine that it's still there. I never leave laundry in the dryer. I knew when I crawled in the bed last night that I wouldn't hear the dryer go off but thought I'd get it this morning. I was driving to work and remembered it. I thought of it when I walked in the back door. I'm just thinking of it again. Can you tell I'm not wanting to fold that laundry!? LOL!

We had a Wellness Fair at work today. I got up and went just for the break. I had two chair massages! They were about 10 minutes each and one girl sure was more talented than the other one. There really wasn't a lot else I was interested in, but I did win a quart of Almond Milk. That will come in handy. I don't use cow's milk but I do use Almond Milk on a regular basis. The gals working the fair said that the Almond Milk and the Spinach were "booby prizes". I said those were wonderful prizes!! I love both of them!

Lainie, I'm so happy for you that you did get your October bonus! That's wonderful news!

Well, I'd better go get that laundry out of the dryer. :) Talk with you all later!

Hello Ladies!

Well, I'm not working today. My voice isn't better yet and now when I try to talk I start having a coughing fit. We had our conference call today. They now know what I sound like. My supervisor had the consumer advisers confirm their own appointments for the 3 p.m. webinar. The consumer advisers are the ones who do the final job of getting the timeshare owner to use our services. They also take turns doing the presentation. I'm sure they didn't like that very much. AnnMarie is going to confirm the 7 p.m. webinar for me. So, I'm just resting and not talking today. The dogs don't understand why I'm not talking to them. When I do have to say something, I whisper to them. I had a coughing fit earlier and they both were concerned and came over to me.

During the conference call, I found out that I did get the $50 bonus for October. Yay!! I guess they took into consideration that part of my time is confirming appointments. I was so happy to hear that.

I need to lay back down now. I took the dogs outside and watched the Bold & the Beautiful and the Young & the Restless with them. That just tuckered me out. I'll try to get back on later.

Thank you for all the prayers! Hope everyone has a great rest of the day! Take care!

Hugs,

Lainie

Kitt, Reese's is pretty much back to normal. He still is eating chicken/rice and his food mixed in with it. Tomorrow 75% his food with the chicken/rice and then the day after....all of his food. This has been an ordeal b/c we had to start over after Saturday b/c he still wasn't so good on Saturday. He feels good and is playing, eating/drinking well. Kitt you and Lainie must clean ALL of the time. You said the eggs were done and your were going to peel. Do you peel all of them at one time and just refrigerate them?

Kathy, I am so sorry your dad didn't get to work the polls today. That is just a shame. It is nice that the auction closes early so the employees can vote. We voted this morning. I washed 3 loads today and put most of them on the line.......uuummmmmmm, they smell so fresh...lol.. It is 66 here now but really cloudy....Temps to only be in mid 40's by the weekend. I have someone I grew up with coming for a weekend visit. I am really happy about that.

Good Afternoon Ladies,

Thank you so much for praying for my Dad. I am going out to see him on Thurs. and I am dreading it so much and I hope that she is asleep when we go. My Dad always works the precinct where my brother votes and when my brother called me today, asked if Dad was there and he said no. He gets so much pleasure from that little job and it makes me mad that he couldn't go. We will vote when Jim gets home. They close the auction early on election days so that employees can go and vote.

I am so far behind today. I spent a good part of today on the phone. I usually get a lot of phone calls on Tuesdays and I enjoy it. I just shouldn't have planned on doing laundry today. My last load is in the dryer now, so I will be done within the hour.

Cathy, I am sorry that things are up in the air at the office, but glad that you aren't involved very much. That lowers the stress level when you can leave things up to others. I'm glad that you have found such a pleasant way to end your days. I think we all have our own way of relaxing before we go to sleep at night.

Nancy, I'm glad you enjoyed your movie yesterday. It is nice that Reeses has his own play dates on bowling day. It is really good for him to be able to run around and play hard with other dogs.

Kitt, You haven't lived in your house long enough to have to organize things. lol I can't stand not to be organized, so I understand what you're saying. I want to be able to put my finger on anything that I want within a few seconds of wanting or needing it. Yes, the weather is wonderful today and it is 66 right now and the sun is out.

Kathy, It is great that Jamie is coming for a visit. You and Jim will enjoy that as well as Jamie getting to watch the games. Glad your dinner was good with Bill and Linda. So nice that Jim doesn't mind doing "most" of the work.... As far as who changes the "weight" limit. I think it would be the therapist. When I had my therapy the therapist knows how well you and doing b/c they are with you all of the time and know what your limits are. The doctor sends us for p/t, but I think after the initial evaluation the the therapist decides what best is needed along with reports to the doctor. I hope Janet will settle down so your dad will have some "peace". I can't imagine someone acting like her when people are really trying to help her. Doesn't she know the saying "don't bite the hand that feeds you". I think she must have some very deep problems that makes her act out like she does. Sending prayers for your dad and your family while dealing with this situation.

Lainie, I sure hope your cold/voice is better. It is very hard with your job to not talk. Actually the straining when you already have a problem is even worse for your throat. Did you try some tea maybe with some honey? I don't know what you can do since that is your job to "talk". I hadn't even thought abut Black Friday deals.....good idea. We are taking Reese's for PlayCare on Wednesday while we bowl. He really enjoys playing with the other dogs. I wish I had known about this sooner.

Cathy, Glad you and the boys are enjoying the fireplace. Was nice that you remembered to take your snack with you.

We are going to vote this morning. We went to the movies yesterday to see the Nicholas Sparks movie, "the best of me". Oh my, it was so good and of course sad, as most all of his books are. Take tissues if you go see it. Will check in later.

Good morning ladies,

Lainie, I really do hope that today is a better day for you. I know talking doesn't help. That's so funny that the woman thought it was her child playing a joke. :)

Kathy, Your Dad keeps coming to my mind so I keep praying for him. I just cannot imagine having to be in that situation day in and day out. I remember my Mom being so upset when my Grandmother lived with them and was ugly but part of that was her disease process. Part was the relationship she and Mom had. All the same, it's just way to hard on a person.

Our office is a little on the crazy side. I feel a bit removed from it though. The other supervisor has each of these projects under her so I'm not so much under the gun. That's nice. :) The boys! They are just so precious. We did sit in front of the fire last evening and the both fell asleep. I remembered to take my bedtime snack with me. It was so pleasant. Yes, that may be where I land every evening before bed!

Lainie, I love those same shoes! I record them and usually play them on Friday while I'm working. Depends on what I'm working on if I can actually watch or not. Sometimes I have to play them again to watch for content.

Hi Barbara, Nancy and Kitt! Have a good day everyone!

You are right, Lainie. I am very worried about my Dad. I don't know how long he can stand up under the strain, plus she is so much bigger than he is. He only weighs 120 pounds and she is over 200 pounds of dead weight. Jim can't even lift her and he is extremely strong. I am sorry that you are still sick and hope that you are feeling better soon. That is kind of funny about the lady who thought her kids was playing a joke on her.

Hello Ladies!!

Well, I woke up this morning and got on the phone and lo and behold I barely had a voice. It's been like this all day. When I do talk, it's such a strain. I have only worked long enough to confirm appointments for the 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. webinars. I was hoping there wouldn't be that many, but there were at least 30 total. I had one lady start laughing at me. She thought one of her kids was calling her and trying to disguise their voice. When she found out it wasn't one of her kids, she kept apologizing to me. I thought it was funny. I've been sucking on throat lozenges and drinking lots of water. I took about an hour's nap this afternoon.

I did two loads of laundry this afternoon. So glad that's done. I also cleaned and swept the floors today. The dogs are probably wondering why I'm not talking to them; just a few whispers now and again.

I've decided to make chili tonight. I make a mild version. It's been chili today. The temp has only been in the high 60's today. It's suppose to warm up to 90 on Wednesday. I think it's the change in weather that has given me this cold. It's the first cold I've had in a year or more.

Cathy, the boys are just adorable. I'm glad they get along so well. My two are getting along much better, but Benny still has his moments. Bailey likes to grab Benny's leash and drag him around the house. It is so cute. Hope your work day wasn't too busy today.

Nancy, glad to hear that Reese's is doing much better. There are always great deals on Black Friday for computers and laptops. Hopefully, you will be able to find something you like.

Barbara, sorry about your bad weather. We've had some cooler weather here, but nothing like yours. I love Scandal. I watch it every Thursday, well, I record it every Thursday and watch it on the weekends along with Grey's Anatomy and now How to Commit Murder.

Kitt, I was shocked to see Jeff going after Brad yesterday at the end of the race. I'm glad you had a good time at the football party. That's great that your team won.

Kathy, I'm praying for your dad. That is just so sad that Janet has to be that way. I know that you're worried about your dad.

Hope everyone has a great evening! Take care!!

Hugs,

Lainie

Hi Ladies,

Linda and Bill came for dinner and we had a great time. Jim really did most of the work. I talked to Jamie and he is coming in Thurs. evening because he wants to watch the Browns/Bengals football game and they won't get that in Lexington. He made a doctor appointment for Friday while he is here and he wants to see the Ohio State game on Sat., which they also don't get. I will be glad to see him.

Cathy, It sounds like your little Berkeley is quite the socialite, which is a good thing. I think it is funny that he wanted to go and play with his friend.

Nancy, I am not sure how long the one pound limit is going to last. I don't see the doctor until Dec. 18th and I am in therapy at least that long. I don't know if the therapist can change the weight limit or not.

Kitt, I hope you are feeling better with the shoulder today. It was such a gorgeous day here in Ohio today and I loved every minute of it. I had thought it was suppose to stay nice all week, but when we watched the weather tonight, I saw a different forecast.

Lainie, We haven't heard from you yet today, but I know that being in a different time zone puts you off from our time. I hope you are feeling better.

Lainie, are you feeling any better today? I sure hope so.

Barb, the temps here were really pretty nice today....mid 60's......tomorrow is also supposed to be nice and I am going to hang clothes out. No snow for us just yet.....We streamline through Netflix....it cost 799 per month and we can watch movies. old seasons of tv show., so many things. Sounds kind of like you android computer, although I never heard that expression before. I think I might look it up.

Kitt,, Reese's is doing much better, thanks for checking. Hope your shoulder is doing well.

Kathy, anything you would have to lift would most likely be over a lb. Wow. how long will that be for? I have to run.will be back when I can.

Barbara, I like Scandal too! I record several shows on Thursday evening.

Oh Kathy! Your Dad is certainly in my prayers! Janet's news really isn't good but I never would have fathomed THAT was what it was when I started reading. Keeping you each in my prayers. I know this is a tough time.

I took the boys for a walk this afternoon and Berkeley starts pulling as we pass Reba and Holly's house. He really loves that dog! We walked and had a nice time. We played with a little boy who was staying with his grandmother. As we walked back home, I let Berkeley go where he wanted as we got near Reba's. He went and sat at the garage door waiting on Holly. It was so precious. I took them to the front door and rang the bell. We had the best time letting the dogs play with one another. Holly was so gentle with Berkeley. They romped and played so sweetly. Berkeley is sound asleep having walked home, eaten his dinner and filled his belly.

I'll check back later and hopefully here that Lainie is better. :)

Good Afternoon Ladies,

I am getting ready to head out to therapy. Linda and Bill are coming for dinner tonight and Jim is doing all of the heavy work for me. What is heavy for me now, use to be nothing. I am not allowed to lift over one pound and that is only something the weight of a soup can.

I have Janet news and it is not good. The hospital got fed up and booted her out last night. I did not know this until this morning. They wanted to send her to rehab again and she refused, so she is back home and i have no idea what my Dad is going to do with her. All she does is scream and talk so horribly nasty to everybody who gets close to her. There is no effort on her part to even move at all. I did find out that they fixed the hole they poked in her heart by cauterizing it and the doctor says there is no damage. The reason he poked the hole was because she kicked her leg while he was doing the heart cath.

The people that bought our car finished paying for it today and Jim went with them to the notary, so that is done and we will go and give that money to Dad to help pay for the one we bought from him, which we love, by the way. Great pocket money for him because I have a feeling she is going to finish draining him very soon.

Cathy, I loved the pics of your little guys. I will sit down and wish that i had gotten a nice drink and then just feel too drained to get up and get it like you did. That doesn't happen often, but sometimes it does.

Nancy, There will probably be some good computer buys here at the end of the year. My laptops fan is also on the side and I can't even hear it running. You may want to check into that. How is our buddy Reeses feeling?

Barbara, I am sure that you enjoyed having the time and opportunity to catch up on your shows. It was cold here this weekend, but we are into Indian summer starting today and I plan on enjoying it.

Kitt, I was so happy that the Browns won. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it sure is worth celebrating. Yes, the end of the race was not a nice ending. I see that you are doing laundry. I am putting mine off until tomorrow when Jim is gone.

Lainie, I hope you are feeling better. You work so many hours that you don't seem to have any time to just relax and let your body heal.

Have a good afternoon.

Good morning everyone.

It is nice to have Kathy and Cathy here again.

Today is our 3rd nasty day of weather, lots of wind, temps have dropped today, some areas had sprinkling of snow. I think where Shannon is hunting they have some.

I am a series watcher, we have an android computer that streamlines through the internet and we can pick so many shows. Yesterday I watched Scandal. I'm in the 2nd season and it has over 20 shows. It will take me awhile to watch all seasons, I think there are 4 in total. Eventually we will get rid of our satellite connection and just use the android for tv.

Cathy just read your blog with those cute boys, they looked like they were having so much fun.

Kathy that is a good plan not to eat in front of the tv, just makes for a late supper.

Nancy glad the fan is working and you can hold off buying a new laptop.

Lainie, hope you soon start to feel better, need lots of rest and fluids. Hope Jazmin doesn't hurt Rocky again.

Kathy, It is so good to see you here on a regular basis again. You are usually the last at night and Cathy the first in the morning.....good feeling. That sure was late for your dinner with having to wait until the race was over...It is good not to have eaten while it was on and in front of the tv. I am leaning more to NOT getting a new computer, but when the end of the year and all of the new ones come out, I may buy one of the this years and not a brand new b/c prices will be a little better as they are trying to get rid of them.

Cathy, It is so good to see your "smiling" notes here first thing in the morning. Like I said, Kathy last at night and you "first" in the morning. I have missed the two of you so much and are happy you are both back. Glad you told me about the 2 in 1 you are using at work and that you like it.....the fan on this lapboard isn't too terribly loud and it can be turned up or down b/c it has variable speed. I like that he 2 in 1 is touch screen also. Mine computer now is not. That is funny that you didn't want to get up to get a cup of tea...I understand completely....b/c I sometimes do that. Maybe tonight you will have that cup of tea. Thank you for the link to your blog. I am going to check it out as soon as I finish the thread.....

Wishing all of you dear friends a great day and a greater week.

Good morning, dear friends,

LOL! Nancy, I was thinking when I saw your post that you were up LATE! Then you said it. We are creatures of habit. I kept watching the time and went to bed on time. I think the boys were ready because it was dark. That helped me be on time.

Lainie, hope you are feeling much better today. You are working so hard and this bug has to be dragging you down!

We have a laptop/tablet at work that we use to test on. I like it. I think that is what I'll look at when I need a new laptop. Mine is a few years old but it is doing fine. It does get hot sometimes, but I have a lapboard I use with it. When I realize it is getting hot, I move it over the edge of the lapboard so the fan can get more air. One thing I've learned over the years is to buy a laptop with the fan at the end, not in the middle of the bottom. Those with the fan in the middle of the bottom just don't have a chance of getting good air circulation. I did buy a lapboard with a fan for that laptop that had the bad fan placement and it did help. I didn't like the fan lapboard after a while because the fan made noise.

Kathy, I have a bottle of peach wine in the kitchen now. It was a birthday gift and the man who gave it to me made it. He always gives me a wine he's made for my birthday and for Christmas. His wines don't have sulfites in them so I don't get a headache from them. Last night, I thought that I wished I'd taken a cup of tea with me to sip in front of the fire but was enjoying it so much I wouldn't get up. Maybe tonight I'll get it all together. Sometimes it takes me a couple of tries. LOL!

I posted a blog this morning of the boys running and playing yesterday afternoon. That wasn't easy getting good pictures or even videos. They kept running out of the shots so I have a good bit of video of the yard. LOL! Here's a link:

Hi Ladies,

Jim and I didn't get dinner over until 8:30. He was watching the race and it ran until after 7:30 and he doesn't like to eat until it goes off. We are both kicking back and relaxing until time to go to bed, even though there really isn't such a time here anymore, except for Jim on the nights before his auctions. It does seem like I go to bed around the same time every night though.

Nancy, I really like the way those 2 in 1s seem to be able to be used. I would really like to see how good they work from somebody who has one. I can understand why you have that on hold. If nothing is truly wrong with your computer, why replace it. I don't have a fan board under my laptop, but I have a board that lets air under the laptop and sits right on my lap with a little thing that pulls out for the mouse.

Cathy, How nice to have your fireplace to turn on. That is so relaxing. It would be nice to turn it on every evening and just kick back and let the stress that you have most days just leave your system. I also think a small glass of wine wouldn't hurt either. lol

Cathy,, thanks for the info regarding the pictures. I will check it out. Is Asher liking Holly a bit better now. Maybe since you got Berkeley does he like her better. We had leftovers for supper and enough for one more night.....Hope you enjoyed your Mahi. That was so sweet of you to go help your neighbor with her micro and her clocks. She is very fortunate to have you close by.

Barb, I hardly ever watch tv. All while Larry is away, I just watch the one soap I record each day and that is it. Cathy says she has it on for the noise, and I have it off b/c of the noise. lol.

Lainie, I am so sorry you still aren't feeling well and not sleeping well. I hope tomorrow brings you some rest and some getting better. Oh my, I sure hope Rocky doesn't fall for Jazmin all over again. It would be so easy for him to do. I hope he gets home to take out the dogs so you don't have to do it. I don't care for zombies either and I don't watch Walking Dead....of course I don't watch anything except that one soap. I decided to just try the fan for now and hope it keeps the computer working.

Cathy, I hope your work week goes well for you and it is good that there is a holiday, you get an extra day. yay.

Kathy, I am so sorry you slept wrong on your shoulder and it was hurting. I hope the tens unit helped it to stay better. I hope you and Jim get a chance to get some rest this evening and tomorrow. The computer I have been looking at it a Dell 2 in 1.....laptop and can be used like a tablet. I am hold right now though.

Cathy, I love to turn on the fireplace and just sit and relax in front of it. Our flames are so real looking. Larry hasn't lit the pilot on it since he turned it off for the summer. Probably soon. He has just been dealing so much with his recuperating and it was a lot of bending and stretching to do that. He should be okay to do it now.

Heading south ladies.. Have a nice evening. If time hadn't changed I would be up really late, huh?

HOpe everyone has a good evening and a great tomorrow.

Hope you and Jim both sleep well and feel more rested tomorrow, Kathy. This time change made me feel like I had more time all day and then like it was really late. It will take a little while for me to get adjusted.

I turned on the fireplace and just sat there for a little while this evening. It was so pretty. I really relaxed. Maybe I'll do that every evening!

Good Evening Ladies,

I did not think I was ever going to get here today and I haven't been doing much of anything. The day has just slipped by. I slept wrong last night and my shoulder was hurting really bad, so I put the TENS on it and it is feeling much better. My niece came over to hang out this afternoon and we was happy to see her. Neither Jim or I have had much in the way of energy today. We have been running ourselves ragged and I think it just caught up with us.

Lainie, I'm not sure that Jazmin being assigned to San Diego is such a good idea for Rocky, but this is his concern as to how he handles things. I just hope that he doesn't go getting too involved again. He has a tremendous heart and he falls hard. I'm sorry that you are feeling so stinky.

Nancy, I hope your computer is doing okay. I am on my second Toshiba laptop and I love it. When something happens to this one, I will probably go with them again. I had a Dell the first time and loved it, but the price difference is amazing between Dell and Toshiba. I am glad you are preparing just in case yours does go out, but my last one acted like yours before it died completely.

Barbara, I am sure that you are enjoying not sharing the tv with Shannon for a change. It is nice to get to watch what you like. Jim and i are good at sharing and if he wants to watch something at the same time that I do and he's just not interested, he will go back to the office and watch what he wants. Our DVR is loaded with things he has taped. He wants to watch everything. lol

Cathy, That was very nice of you to go and help your 96 year old neighbor. It is always nice to give some of ourselves to others. I know that Holly was happy to see you and your neighbor probably enjoyed the company as much as the help.

Kitt, I hope that you had fun today and that you did get to sneak out and do a little shopping. I haven't read your blog yet, but I am going to get to it before the evening is over. I'm sure that your Dad was surprised when you stopped in to see him when he wasn't expecting it.

Thank you, Cathy! I'm going to lay down until I have to confirm again in about 45 minutes. Thanks for the reminder about Veteran's Day. That's my sister's birthday and she's a veteran. I have to get a card some time this week. I'm going to put a gift card in the card as well.

Lainie, I hope you have a chance to put your feet up and relax this evening. I know well at least I hope that will make you feel better. I can hardly believe the weekend is over! I really want another day! Of course, next week is Veteran's Day and we're closed for that, so I really cannot complain. Just need to get through this week.

Hello Ladies!!

I'm still feeling awful. I did sleep better last night, but it was still rough. I think I woke up every hour. The Coricidin seems to be working. I'm very tired and have no energy today. I have finished two rounds of calling for the east coast appointments and one round for the west coast. There's not many appointments left to be confirmed. I'm just hoping they will call me back. I've had some to call me back.

I don't think I told you, but Rocky's old girlfriend and almost fiance, Jazmin, just got reassigned to San Diego. She arrived last night. Rocky is showing her around town today. I told him that I hope he doesn't fall for her again. He said not to worry. He's just showing her around San Diego and going out to lunch. He's not paying for anything. I made him go pick up my prescriptions first. I was going to go myself, but I just don't have the energy. I'm hoping that he won't be gone all day. I don't think I have the strength to take the dogs out. They are in their crates like a regular work day.

It rained again during the night. I love listening to the rain. Rocky woke me up after he took out the dogs this morning to tell me that a tree next to our building fell over. It's blocking the area where I usually take the dogs. He said they weren't happy that it was there.

Kathy, I'm glad you had a good time at the wedding. Rocky would have liked to go to a wedding like that. He's all about the zombies. He watches the Walking Dead every Sunday night. It's not my cup of tea. Hope you're having a good day!

Cathy, that was sweet of you to go help your neighbor. My dogs always go crazy if I'm around other dogs. They are even jealous of each other. Rocky has the iPhone 6 too, but not the bigger one. He loves it. I have the iPhone 5S.

Nancy, I'm glad that Reese's is doing better today. Hopefully, he will be back to his old self soon. Laptops do have a tendency to run hot and you have to be careful. Rocky is always telling me that laptops aren't made to run for hours on end. I mostly use my desktop that I use for work. I have an HP laptop and it works great for me. I use it when I'm watching TV in the living room.

Kitt, I hope you enjoy seeing your dad and socializing during the football game. How about the race?

Barbara, I'm so glad I don't have to share my TV with anyone. If Rocky wants to watch something that I don't, then I just watch TV in my bedroom. I record a lot of shows during the week. I usually catch up on the weekend. I watched quite a few of them yesterday and I have a couple more to watch after the race. Enjoy your shows!

Hope everyone has a great evening! Take care!

Hugs,

Lainie

Nancy, I think Dropbox.com lets you upload pictures and files. And it's free. I only want free. LOL! When I was getting ready for my new phone, I was looking for a place to put all the pictures that were on my old iPhone. Turns out, he transferred all my data. But thank goodness I had moved all those pictures because the few that were there took a long time!

Barbara, I know you are enjoying the TV all to yourself. I'm spoiled with mine, I know. Even though sometimes it is just on for noise.

I've had the boys out in the yard playing this afternoon and they are worn out! I'll post a blog with pictures in the morning. Just as soon as we came in, I went to sit down and work with the pictures and had a voice mail from my little 96 year old neighbor. She'd tried to change the time on her microwave and got it locked up and couldn't heat up anything. Sweet lady. She wondered if I'd come up and help her. I got the microwave unlocked, the time changed on it and a couple more appliances and played with her dog. My dogs were a bit jealous when they smelled Holly when I got home. I think they were as jealous that they didn't get to go as they were that I played with her.

Off to put a little supper on. I think I'm having mahi for supper. I think that is what is thawing in the fridge anyway. :)

I had a Toshiba laptop before this one and I like it. This one is Hubby's b/c mine went to sleep and never woke up........Someone told me the computer may just to cutting off as a precaution b/c it is getting too hot. I did not have a "fan" tray under it. They said it may not be going bad at all, just getting too hot. O bought a fan today and it doesn't get hot, so maybe that will solve the problem. I am going to make sure I get my recipes and pictures copied to something so if it does quit, I won't lose them. I don't even know how to do that, but I will ask Carla. Knock wood, I have not had any viruses on either computer....

Will touch base later.

Hi everyone. Had a nice time at breakfast.

But we are having more wind and rain today. Hope tomorrow is much nicer, at least for the hunters. Not sure how long Shannon will be away, last year he was home Tuesday lunch time, had their deer Monday evening.

Nancy that is so good that Reese's is improving. I have a Toshiba laptop and I love it. I do pick up a lot of viruses, but I have finally gone back to internet explorer instead of chrome and it's working a lot better.

Kitt glad your shoulder is better, enjoy your day with Dad and then the football party.

Well done Cathy on another weight loss. It does sound like a bite on your shoulder. Berkeley did good at the vets.

Kathy a very strange wedding. My son is always trying to get me to watch the Walking Dead, I tell him no, not into zombies.

Lainie, hope you start to feel better. When I have a cold I have to have the vaporizer on so that I can breathe. Hope you can get your work done, then sit back and relax.

I've been catching up on my shows, Sons of Anarchy and Downton Abbey. Going to watch some Scandal later on. When Shannon is home I watch whatever he puts on the tv, so am enjoying to tv to myself.

Cathy, Does your spot itch? That is a nice choice. I had a Samsung Galaxy 3 or 4.....but wasn't smart enough (or patient enough) to learn how to use it.......so I turned it back in. I understand iphones are more user friendly so I think that is what I am doing when I get a new phone.

The spot was dry, but it hurt deep and was inflamed. I wondered if I'd been bitten by something. One of the guys at work thought he'd been bitten the other day. He had a similar kind of place.

I got an iPhone 6 plus. I really do like it. It's bigger and easier to see. I'm sure there are other things on there that will be nice, but just seeing things easier is nice for me. :)

Cathy, sorry about your shoulder but glad the cream is helping it today. Was it just a dry spot? Funny about Berkeley and the ice cube.....Reese's runs from anywhere in the house when you get ice. The other day when back from the vet, I got ice and he didn't get off his bed to come running. I took a cube to him and he didn't even try to take it. He was really feeling nauseous I guess. I put it to his mouth and still nothing..He finally did pick it up and took it to the sun room and crunched it. He usually gets about 4 of them. He is feeling better, but I don't think he is completely well yet. He is eating good. Tomorrow I can put 25% of his food with his chicken/rice/pumpkin. Nice of your friend to bring the boys homemade bones. Good for being down the 1.4 today.....yay......our "goal" thread is moving up.......lol Good for your new iphone.....Is it the "6"....When my contract is up, I think I am getting an iphone...but that won't be until October......

Good morning ladies,

Oh Kathy! That is an odd wedding theme! But, I have friends that love that zombie stuff. I don't even like halloween, so I'm happy to skip all of that! You are right though, it is what pleases the couple.

Glad you are feeling better today, Kitt. My shoulder was bothering me and I finally got to where I could see that I had a red place on it. Not a clue what it was but I've been putting some cream on it since I discovered it yesterday and it is better today.

Nancy, I'm glad Reese's is better. Sweet boy.

Lainie, hope you feel better and had a good night's sleep.

Berkeley snatched his first ice cube that I dropped on the floor this morning. He loved it! Asher doesn't care much about them. It was so fun to watch him with it. He's teething so he loves a good bone. My friend brought the boys nice bones she had baked the other day. They love them!

I weighed this morning and was down another 1.2 pounds. I'm not complaining. LOL! As long as I stay in my happy range, I'll be fine. And because we talked about it, Nancy, I did remember to add it to our team count.

I have a new iPhone and I'm trying to get all of my data off of my old one. It's taking a while for all of the email to come off. I plan on sending the old one back because they will pay me for it. But, all of that email has to come off first. I'll check it again in a bit.

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday! And enjoyed your extra hour of sleep!

Lainie, I hope you got a better night of sleep last night. I am glad your work load isn't as much for today. I hope the Coricidin works well for you. I have to use the Coricidin HBP also.

Kathy, that is a very different wedding theme, but like you said, it should be their "taste". Reese's is better today and keeping his chicken/rice/pumpkin down. Our last lab was diagnosed at 2 years (had been sick for almost a year) and after getting it under control he was able to eat normal food..He was on a pepcid and 5 mg of prednisone every day for the rest of the almost 12 years, but with NO problems.

Kitt, glad your shoulder is somewhat better......just don't over do it today.....it has to have some "rest" time. Hope you day is great.....your dad will be surprised to see you. It will be good to go shopping while everyone else is watching the game.

I am going to get a new computer (I think) today. I think mine is ready to crash b/c it keeps shutting down. I don't want to wait until it doesn't come back on. This computer is only 2 years old. It is a Dell laptop. I don't want to lose all of my pictures and recipes. so I better get moving. I don't know how to set it up but Carla will help me. I don't like doing all of that technical stuff. I will check in later.

Hi Ladies,

I doubt if I will ever go to a wedding like this again. The bride and groom were dressed as zombies. There was only a few people who were not in costume. The decorations for the reception were all done on a Halloween theme. It was certainly different. It may not have been to my taste, but weddings are very personal and should reflect the taste of the couple

Barbara, I know that you will miss Shannon while he is on his hunting trip. I hope hope he gets a deer. I can understand why you are happy to have the chips gone. Those are dangerous for sure. I know that you didn't mind sharing your cookies at all. Your friend is very young for hip replacement, but it does happen..

Nancy, I will put my weight loss on the thread. I didn't think about doing it because I gain a few pounds every time I have surgery and then have to turn around and lose them. A friend told me that she thinks part of it is from all of the fluid that they pump into you, but mostly, I think it s from laying around for awhile. I am glad that Reeses is doing better. If he has IBS, you may have to make his dog food from now on. I did with our English Springer the last few years of her life. It's just that Reeses is so young for this.

Kitt, I hope the ice helps your shoulder. It always helps me. Although if it is muscle, ice can cramp you up. Have fun at the football party tomorrow.

Cathy, I'm glad that Berkeley was a little angel when he went to the vet today. Yes, as little as he is, he would wag his wholeself. lol

Lainie, I am so sorry about your cold. I usually take Coricidan when I have a cold because of my hbp, even though it is under control and has been since I lost weight. I hope you can relax and just watch the race and your shows.

Hello Ladies!!

I had a miserable night last night. I felt better during the day yesterday, but as soon as my head hit the pillow, my head stopped up. I had such a hard time breathing. My throat is still sore too. I tossed and turned a good part of the night and finally fell asleep until I heard the rain. We had a few drizzles earlier in the evening, but at around 4:30 a.m. it was a downpour. I got up and went potty and laid back down. I fell right to sleep from the soothing sound of the rain and woke up at 7:45 a.m. to start my work day.

I had to run out to the store in a few minutes to pick up some more cold medicine. I can't just take anything because of my high blood pressure. I need to take Coricidin. I was going to send Rocky, but he is dealing with a migraine right now. I have to be back by 6:45 to do my last round of confirming. Luckily, it's just a few appointments left. I did get in an hour nap earlier today, which helped. I have appointments to confirm tomorrow for Monday. There's not as many as today and I don't start until about 2 p.m. est.

Cathy, I am so happy to have you back with us. Don't feel like you have to come here every day and respond to everyone's posts. I know it's not easy when you busy with work and two dogs. Berkeley is just adorable. Bailey wiggles his behind just like that. Congrats on figuring out the problem and taking off 34 lbs. That's awesome!

Nancy, I sure hope that Reese's is feeling even better now. I hope Larry had a safe trip home.

Barbara, chips are my downfall too. I love Lay's potato chips. I have some once in awhile, but I get the small bag that they sell at the checkout and that usually satisfies me. I don't trust having the big bags in the house, unless company is coming and they will eat them. Rocky doesn't care for potato chips. Glad that you were able to get rid of the rest of them so you don't have the temptation. Enjoy your breakfast out tomorrow!

Kitt, I hope you get better soon. Have you been to the dr.?

Kathy, I hope you're enjoying the wedding.

Hope everyone has a great evening! Take care!

Hugs,

Lainie

Barbara, my clocks are already reset too. But it seems I have one that is off. I need to try it again. I'm so glad the chips are gone and no longer a temptation!

Barbara, so happy the potato chips are all gone. Nice of you to give Ryan some of the peanut butter cookies. That is a good point on Kitt's shoulder.....Hope it isn't a tear though. May just be strained from all of the repetitive work. I am sure you will have a nice time at breakfast. I love breakfast out too, but don't do it too often. Our winds have been high today too. We didn't do our clocks yet. I always wait until we get up on the morning of.

The potato chips are all gone, I ate 2 bags, Shannon probably had 12, when Tylneil came over she took what was left with her. When I told her I was making peanut butter cookies she ordered some up for Ryan's lunch, he has a 12 hour shift tonight.

Kitt hope the ice works on your shoulder. Maybe you need to see the doctor and see if there isn't a tear or something.

My friend told me she needs to have a hip replacement, she had her first one last year and now needs another one, I thinks she's mid 40's kind of young for replacements.

I think Shannon is ready to go in the morning, the other guy just phoned and wants us to meet with him and his wife for breakfast, I love to go out for breakfast.

Kathy and Cathy, great job on removing weight before it got out of hand. That has always been my biggest obstacle, once I start gaining, I can't get back to losing.

Our wind has been high all day and rain with it, I've had to have our furnace on.

I've already got our clocks turned back, don't want to forget.

Glad there was nothing wrong with the tires. Staying curled up sounds good. I have not sat down today except to spark and answer threads........just busy, no other reason.

Hubby should be home shortly....I am so glad......

It was just the low pressure light from the temperature drop. Happened last Fall too. Thankfully the tires were just fine.

I remember when we had a clothes line and the same thing would happen on a windy day. It's still blowing fiercely out there. Makes me want to stay curled up right here.
