keeping fingers crossed re my health. It's still good so I can still can exercise and haven't lost my streak. Over 6-1/2 years of exercise.

Doing good with my current mini habits. Between one month and three month rewards. I have so found using rewards system works for me. After a certain point, my pride kicks in. With my exercise streak, 20 weeks was a key point. After that, I was d****** if I would loose streak.

LOVE THAT I CAN TRACK PROGRESS ON SPARK PEOPLE. I'm also using a tracking app on my phone but it tracks by days while Spark gives me number week info.

I've been a lazy bum. Not exercising and eating the wrong foods. I will be paying the price for this, so why do I do this to myself?

Yea, for counting...well actually I teetered out on the second walk but did go in the morning when cooler...Belle turned us around at 30 min!

So....I am proud that I came home for lunch for stir fry and about 1/2 cup rice, veggies, and 4 oz chicken....getting TIRED of chicken. Not so proud of last nights dinner...a small caron of German icecream...well lets make that half of a half gallon...ha!! Man was it good...the walked down to my littel towns summer fare and had half a liter of beer ( mixed with lemonade)..ha! Today I have done good except my stomach is once again upset. Pulled out salmon to thaw for tonight with broccoli or maybe on a salad. Work has been ore active so I am getting in 8000 steps the last few days. Got my beach bike loaded in teh car and will take it in for a look as the pedals are stuck....

Alrighty...headed back to work....good for you for counting the cookies!!

I applaud your walk! It's been too darn hot to walk in the day time and the skeeters are the pits at night. I guess I could'should mall walk. I'm the right age, God knows.

I'm proud that i counted all my calories tonight, even the massive amount of meringue cookies. The interesting thing is that they were so much less than I thought! 1700 . . . but I was expecting 2500 or so.

I'm feeling especially proud that I've turned the current slide around and am close to my lowest weight in several years. It's not a great number, but it is still the lowest for a long time.

Didnt buy icecream at my jaunt to the grocery store last night...did think about it...but passed it up for veggies!!! Yea!! The more you exercise that resistance muscle the stronger it gets. I believe that! happy Sunday all!

Got to gym today and did 40 minutes on treadmill including 30 minutes at 20% incline. Last week, I was hiking in western Virginia and mountains kicked my butt. Their "moderate" is would be considered "very strenuous" in Florida.

My exercise streak is still going even with visiting my son in Virginia. It's always a challenge to not loose it when I visit there. Right now, I have 304 weeks. It will be emoticon years the week of October 7th. Always have my fingers crossed that my health will allow me to continue.

Almost eight weeks straight with my original three mini habits. I'm noticing a difference in my knees. Added a fourth mini habit as of Jan 1. That habit is to get rid of AT LEAST one thing a day.
Exercise streak still going strong - working on week 222. Finally was able to take my reward for four years. Gold's Gym finally started a convenient location for me. I signed up and will start going at least one day a week starting next week. I want to use the incline tread mills so when I hike out of Florida I'll be in better shape. Also plan on using weight machines. The whole complex is not up and running. When it is, will look into their classes.
Have got some nice hikes lined up including the one I'm leading later this month plus the pre-hike.

Working with book, "Mini Habits: Smaller Habits, Bigger Result" by Stephen Guise. I've got three "habits" I'm trying to develop and already have over two weeks. (Tracking with SparkPeople, an Android App, and stars on a calendar.) Have a reward chosen for four weeks. After starting and maintaining my exercise streak (now at 216 weeks), I am confident of being able to stay with the mini habits.

My knees don't like certain things (like steps) so one of my mini habits are a short routine of knee stretches. I'm trying to develop mindfulness, so another of my mini habits is a minimum of five minutes of meditation. The final mini habit I'm working on right now is writing an entry in my Gratitude Journal. I bought my journal in 1998. I thought I was only using for that year. Instead, I use small post-its to add additional year entries. It has been hit or miss for me to use it but I love looking over previous entries. The journal I'm using is, "The Simple Abundance Journal of Gratitude" by Sarah Ban Breathnach. Starting Jan 1st. I'm going to add a fourth mini habit. It will be to get rid of a minimum of one item each day.
