I realize I'm responding to this topic a little late (actually just saw it) but I can report on what I DID as well as how well my plan worked....

My "Christmas Vacation" started at the end of the school day Friday 12/21. My husband and I went to our cabin in WV from Christmas eve-New Year's Eve. I managed to squeeze in a couple of good workouts at Planet Fitness before we left, brought free-weights with me, and loaded my MP3 player with lots of "hair band" rock. I did work out a couple times, including doing a bit of running, something I haven't done consistently since college. Unfortunately, I also overindulged in holiday food and alcohol! So now, I'm having to undo that damage.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

That's a good goal! I am going to try to not gain anything during the Holidays. I am also going to try to get to the gym 3 times per week and really monitor my water intake. I am trying to keep it as high as I can but it's been hard with finals week at school! I am burned out!

I'm staying home for the holidays this year. My goal is to get to the gym 3x a week. I'm training to run a virtual 10k on May 5th. I'll be doing 30 minutes on the treadmill and then 30 minutes respectively on the bike, elliptical and arc. Wish me luck!

Hey everyone! I think it would be a great idea to share your fitness plans for the upcoming Holiday season. Are you going out of town and have a Planet Fitness in the area you are planning to visit? I am visiting my parents and there is a club about 20 minutes away, but I plan to go 3x/week in the morning to keep on track!! How about you??
