It seems like a fairly nice area. There is a middle school there and Field of Dreams Stadium. I see a lot of traffic from that area at Valley Road. The cars I see coming from there are pretty nice. That's about all I know though.

Do you know anything about the neighborhood just north of Picacho & Motel?

Hi Colleen:

I am not an expert about Las Cruces, but I know the Sonoma Ranch area is pretty nice (my sister-in-law lives there) and Onate is a good high school. Picacho Hills has had a lot of break-ins lately so your friend may want to avoid that area.

I wish your friend happy house hunting!

Hi all,

It's Colleen, from Deming. I have some friends from Phoenix who are moving to Las Cruces in the next month. We were wondering if you have any input about neighborhoods, schools, etc.

His daughter's in high school. He was thinking either Onate or Las Cruces highs. Input/suggestions???

Also, as for neighborhoods - are there "good" ones and "bad" ones??? He was thinking about possibly down in Mesilla, or maybe over off the 70 on the North East side of town. Any areas he should really focus on, or ones he should steer clear of?

I'm surprised a realtor wouldn't give him this info, but he said he hasn't been getting answers.

Thanks for ANY and ALL advice you can offer! emoticon
