Great goals :) It is better to go slow and make little changes you can live with one at a time . So many people flame out because they are not loving and patient with themselves

lol, yes i to remember them days of chasing my kids. Now, i can only get running on my bike. lol.

Now that i have been logging in what I eat i find my self eating less because I know I can't go over what Its telling me. So this has been a huge help for me. I am going to set up some new goals for myself. One I am hoping to start loosing at least one to two pounds a week until July, *cross fingers* but only time will tell. I just hope this counting works for me....

OMG tacking is the best tool every. Measuring is really helpful too. I am a from scratch cook and everything i eat is homemade and healthy hahaha I just eat giant portions. That might have been okay at 30 when I was chasing my kids around but at 53 not so much. Measuring give you the idea of what a potion actually is and you can trick yourself by eating on a smaller plate

Your right, I need to start thinking small. Not the 50 pounds i want to loose but maybe 3 pounds a week now that would be a good goal to work at? it's not to much weight right away and it's something to look at each week.

Thank you, what you just said was like a GREAT slap in the face, a slap i sooo very much needed. I'm always looking to loose weight NO! I WANT THE 50 LBS OFF NOW! But if i look at like you just said, i think i can change my way of thinking.

I also just started to track my intake, so I hope that to helps

It is very scary to try to change. We fall into a pattern and it becomes a habit. It becomes us. It is hard to break what is us. and no one wants to face the possibility of failure. Weight is gained over time. It will be lost over time. You just have to make small changes that become new habits and patterns and take baby steps. If you run full throttle you will explode and probably be injured. Go easy on yourself. You are amongst friends here and we all lean on each other and give support. Set small goals for yourself like I need to loose 10 pounds as opposed to I need to loose 50. You met goals faster that way and build momentum , You can do this.one day at a time my friend :)

My problem is I only need to take off that last 10 pounds and I am a lazy :(

I know what you mean about being bad about doing it on my own. I need direction and a little push, lol, but once i get pushed in general I do good. my problem is staying on track, it seems when i'm doing good and feeling good i just stop thinking that it will stay that way, but i keep learning the hard way that is not the case. :(

I did read a post "my journey" and i posted on his page and i need to do what he did, stay focused and just do it and quit making excuses for my self. Maybe deep down i think i feel sorry for myself about my weight not realizing i'm doing it, and that's when i make excuses for myself and then I just end up back in the ditch again :( I don't know.............. Frustrating very very frustrating some times...... ok most of the time.

We had a good trip thanks.
I am down in Tularosa It is near Alamogordo/Holloman AFB I really love NM It is so open and free. I grew up in NJ .Everything there is closer and more confined.
I just joined a challenge and they suggested setting up the goals that way. I am real bad about it on my own LOL I must say I am not going to loose those 7 pounds to complete the goal .If I do it will be a miracle :)

I do hope it works out for your son, I know it's a pain dealing with the legal system sometimes. And good luck on the road trip :)

I was looking at your page and i like the way you have your goal set up, now that is what i need to do. Or at least something like that :) maybe it will help me get focused on what I'm trying to do. I also couldn't help notice your in New Mexico, i was just wondering what part of New Mexico your in? I'm out here in Albuquerqe up in the NE :)

Oh yes I was much thinner when they were younger. This one is 27. He just got out of jail so I am trying to get all the paperwork and documents in order.Tomorrow it is a road trip to get a new SS card LOL After all that is done he can just have the keys to the car.

I always have a sore butt when I ride the bike too. I want a lawn mower seat LOL

I would say it more than counts, I know when my little one was little i was a whole lot skinner. LOLOL, but now that she is older and my oldest is in collage i'm getting plump. lol,

on a side note i did get out and do my ride last night. I just need to start to log my rides here to keep track. So far this month i've gone on the 1, 3, 4, 5 and now the 7th and with luck i'll be able to keep this up. The hardest part is starting the ride, not to mention my seat :( I have a new bike now for the past 4 and a half months and my back side still don't want to get used to the seat, so it looks like i will break down and get me that big butt seat like I used to have, lolol,

K, off to work.

It was a lot of work, but now that it is done I started riding again. For now it's just 2 to 3 days last week and now I'm hoping to start riding every other day. The cold air has been nice too, but now all my rides are in the dark with the time change. That's ok though, i'm using 3 head lights, (looking to buy a much better one soon) and once i get a better light i'll feel much better riding at night lol,

I've seen some of these head lights for bikes and wow! they are serious bright. Well see, its just a bummer my cousin can only ride one day a week. It's tough riding alone, but with luck that too will change I have been trying to get my youngest kid to ride with me, and now she said she will but I yet to see it happen lolol.

Ok, i'm out but i'll be back :)

Thank you Silver,. now that the winter is coming on I'll be doing a lot of my exercise by chopping wood with an axe. lol, From this weekend for about 8 weeks or so i'll be doing this, and in-between i'll do my best to get in a few rides. With luck I'll split about 4 or 5 cords of wood this year cause I couldn't get any last year.

are there any in bike riders in the NE Albuquerque area? I just recently started riding again, but its such a bummer to go alone. I do both the Tramway ride and the Sandia side mountain ride. Some times my cousin rides, but that might only be once a week. More often then not I have a hard time to get motivated to ride or to do anything for that matter.

Any way just thought I would check
