That was yesterday. Today we started with an emergency dental appointment for my husband (minor repair, took about /2 hour.) Then we went home where I had to get ready to go to my knitting group. And on the way home stopped at the drug store to have a prescription renewed.

Then we had our neighbors over for dinner, and while the BBQ was lit and cooking, the deck below it basically collapsed right under it. We were able to wheel the BBQ to the other side of the deck, and the dinner was delicious.

After dinner, the men went out and wheeled the BBQ down the ramp and onto the driveway (where it expands and will not be in the way of accessing the garage) so that it is still connected to the gas line.

Now we have to find someone to repair the deck. The man who re-did it when we first moved in (12 years ago) no longer lives here. We've never needed a handyman since he left, so we don't know where to begin. At least we have two other entrances to the house. (Front and Side)

Physically, I'm still doing great, but mentally, I'm in la-la land. But as they say,"This too will pass!)

Traci? I'm having one of the best days in a long time. We did a lot of cleanup of the outside "stuff" that had o go in for the winter. And I accomplished a lot of cleanup in the garage, sorted out some hand made stuff from my mother and made them all wearable for me or ready to be given as baby gifts. (My mother was a much better knitter than I am. And my name is Vicki Charna, but it was easier than trying to get a Vicki e-mail at the time I first signed in.)

I agree Charna! The older I get the more difficult it is. What once worked like a charm no longer works.

My goal is to try to get healthy again. It appears it's not as easy as it sounds. New ailments come up without advance notice.

My goals are the same. Track food keeping calories within range and carbs at 50-65%, Fat at 30% or lower, Protein at 20%. Exercise daily!

My immediate goal is to swim as much as I can before it gets too cold. I have a Y membership (Silver Sneakers) but I'd much rather use my own pool. For MANY reasons, not the least of which is my husband doesn't like the chlorine smell so he doesn't go with me. I think I'd even be willing to go to one of the exercise groups if he would go.

My Fall goal is strength training 2 times weekly. I have failed miserably at keeping this in the Summer months.

Totally failing at my goal. Life happens and I got caught up in 'stuff' and let it slip. It's a new week and a chance to make a new goal. Starting over with the basics for me.

My goal will be to log ALL my food and get 30 minutes activity 4x week.

I am in the Fall 5% Challenge starting Oct 6-Dec 1. The challenge is to lose 5% o your weight during this time.

I am starting a round of Faithful Finish Lines (an online course for Christian weight loss) on Oct. 1. My commitment - I will finish the course. I will set a fitness goal. I will come to the group at least once a week. (there is a FB group for support.)
