Grateful today for committee members who are patient with my revisions of a premium that needs to go out (like two weeks ago). And who ask, kindly, how they can help.

Grateful that I have the time and energy to put into this project, so looking forward to seeing it come to fruition!

And, that the sky is light. We can't see the sun (its always cloudy here), but the sky is light and that means a lot. :)

thank you Kaligirl! I do treasure them, even when I get grouchy. LOL. The pharmacist gave me a shingles shot yesterday, and said that I might be crabby today. I looked at him and he was smiling just a bit. LOL. So I said, "I'll work on that one!" And so I am. Arm hurts a little, have a little fever, and headache, but I am grateful that we have the chance to get vaccinated and not die from all these diseases that our ancestors did. In the Influenza epidemic, our ancestors lost four little girls in one day. Very sad.

So I am grateful for modern medicine and grateful that spring is approaching.

Tonight I'm grateful for:

-Landline out again due to moisture, but have maintained electricity with the ice; will take it!!
-Planned this day off a few weeks back, but very fortuitous choice with the weather
-Mani-pedis done for all three kitty girls, with relative ease using the word "treat" all the way through, followed by "pretty girl" brushing! Ha! I've got their number!
-Cardio and upper body strength training done today
-All the makings for one of my favorite soups, started chopping today! Ha!
-Awesome leaf lettuce found at the store that will make a great salad; soup, salad and bread and I'll be set for days, along with some to share
-A night at home with the kitty girls, listening to the blues and working my jigsaw puzzle

Stay warm everybody!

Stephanie

Tonight I'm grateful for:

-Safety; first time in over 15 years, my company put us on lockdown for fear of an active shooter, gratefully it wasn't that situation, and it only lasted 15-20 minutes before we knew
-Indeed, Kathy's vision and the excellent medical care that made that happen
-Lots of movement today as I did both my 10-minute cardio stairwell blast and walked in place at the standing station while working for over an hour
-One of my favorite go-to grocery stores FINALLY being done with remodeling; I've stayed away for months; more walking tonight to try and orient myself to the new layout
-Running into one of Beth's old friends at the grocery store
-These sweet kitty girls of mine
-Leftover curry so no dinner prep tonight again! Love it!!

Have a great evening all -
Stephanie

grateful beyond words
*For the gift of sight. I grew up with a lazy eye and a severe astigmatism. I spent my school years reading with one eye, then switching to the other to prevent seeing double. I also had to deal with dyslexia, so reading has always been a challenge for me. I got my first pair of glasses before I turned 30, and was wearing bifocals by the time I was 40. For the past five years or so, my vision has been rapidly declining...especially in this last year.

Cataracts. Ive had them for years, but they weren't "ripe" until a few months ago. I had my first eye surgery in December, and within a week, I could see stars. STARS! It'd been so long! I had my second eye done last week, and now I can read without glasses altogether! I had no idea how bad my vision really was!

A true miracle.

Happy Monday all ... !!!!

Today I'm grateful for:

-Continuing to set myself up for success in more ways than one
-Starting my second "At Goal and Transitioning to Maintenance" team challenge; helps keep me accountable as I learn how to maintain my weight - hey, I got through the holidays with my first challenge: win-win!!!
-Another 6-week healthy incentive program starts at work on 1/27; it's an individual rather than team challenge, SO ... I signed up for advanced (rather than the usual beginner) to push myself a bit; it's only 50 more exercise minutes per week than beginner - I can do it!
-Paying attention to my dreams and taking action if I feel warranted (i.e., dreaming of two friends, one alive, one gone - setting up breakfast with the friend who's still here)
-Made a delicious curry last night including some red and yellow bell peppers that I froze from my CSA bag when in abundance late last summer, so dinner is ready for 2-3 more nights!
-Since no dinner prep is needed, I'm planning to spend extra time playing with the kitty girls tonight

Have a great day all -

Stephanie

Tonight I'm grateful for:

-No loss of power and for now, snow has stopped (freezing rain ended last night)
-Making it safely to and from my friend's house to feed, water and visit with Pixie kitty (extra happiness that she only lives a few miles away); waited for 1-2 inches of snow so I could get some traction
-My magic winter coat, especially in 17 degree temps
-Shoveling my driveway (we got only 2-3 inches, more possible tomorrow); the theory is to barely expose the bottom layer of ice since they say 37 & sunshine tomorrow, to melt it; we'll see how my theory flies)
-Shoveling my neighbor's driveway (I'm a big kid who likes to play in the snow and it was gorgeous out there, win-win)
-How difficult weather always seems to bring this end of the cul-de-sac together
-A short bike ride on the recumbent
-More jigsaw puzzle fun between all the rest
-A well-earned evening snuggled in with the kitties reading or watching TV

Have a great evening all - sweet dreams -

Stephanie

Tonight I'm grateful for:

-Power, central heating (and lights), as I hope we don't lose it in the ice and snow
-Working with people that care about my wellbeing and told us all to get out and go home
-Spending a fun night at home, doing my jigsaw, playing fetch with Rosie and dancing to some great blues on the Friday night Fish Fry on KCUR
-Putting the deposit down to secure our lodging 20 minutes from Lake Louise in Banff, a lovely little private 2-bedroom suite in a hostel with our own kitchen and bathroom, just what we need at a great price
-My sister being as excited as I am now that we've got our base to build around for our sister trip
-My warm (hopefully all weekend) bed to crawl into shortly

Sweet dreams to all -

extraordinarily grateful today...
* For the first time, since I was in my twenties, I am able to read (reasonable size print) without glasses! The miracle of cataract surgery! (but forgive typos)
* I can see STARS!
* Im settling in to my new house (Sandra, I totally understand the stress of new home purchasing!) and at total ease with my decision. It was a GOOD on
* Great neighbors, and new friends
* Feeling the spirit of oppression that weighed heavy on me in my old home has dissipated
* Opimism as I mov into this new year!

Grateful this second day of the new year for ...

- MRI on hand - follow up with doc next week
- trying to give myself self-compassion
- doing what I can without beating myself up for what I can’t do
- accepting I connect with some but not all people
- best chicken pisole I’ve ever eaten
- watching a neighborhood eatery evolve from 6 tables to a gathering place
- grass wreath from nephew’s flower farm
- thriving this year in spite of two do overs of my knee replacement, inflamed IT band, pulled groin muscle and broken wrist
- happy 2019 is behind me
-all is exceedingly well

On this first day of 2020, grateful for a new beginning to a new year. For salespeople community, for parents who love me although I get grumpy, for so many blessings from God.

grateful
-for good sleep on a different mattress, getting out of bed this morning with ease (so rare)
-for the interesting phenomena of hope rising with a new year
-for a sunny morning with bird song
-dinner guests expected Sunday are motivation to tidy what we tend to ignore
-to be back in the habit of baking bread, which M just loves

🥳Happy New Year.

❤️Today I’m grateful for:

All that’s right in my life and here.

The good health my family and I enjoy.

Bringing in the new year with DH and old friends.

Seeing the beauty all around me.

The willingness to make healthy choices, and track food choices.

So many blessings.

Mazzy

The calendar shows a new year, and the start of a new decade. It gives us the opportunity to reflect on our lives, our blessings, and our goals.

Gratitude. The acknowledgment of tiny miracles that might have gone by unnoticed.
