Yesterday, I had a day of not resisting urges to eat just about all day and into the evening. It had felt like a fight for the last few days. I made an executive decision to take the day off officially. I did not wake up raring to try again, so I will have three meals today, ending by 6 p.m. and start again for the month of April on an 8-hour or smaller window. Dr. Mattson said it can take a good six weeks. Since I started around mid-March, that should give me enough time to see if it actually fits my preferences.

Got diverted and have made it well past 16 hours. Not ready to eat yet. I hope to stick to two meals and not snack but that "Sunday" feeling may tempt me. Theoretically, it's not an issue to snack, but I know I won't feel hungry, just peckish, so I'd rather not reinforce the habit.

I stuck to my 8-hour window but did too much permasnacking this afternoon. I don't think I ate past my maintenance calories, but feel too full and gave in to little urges. I think it's because I finished my FMD two days ago and the pendulum is swinging. I swore I would not get sidetracked by that this time. I feel better when I just have a meal at the beginning and just before the end of my window. I will do better tomorrow.

Though I'm not the best faster, I remain intrigued, and volunteered to lead the team. Not sure who[m] I'm leading.

Am on 16:8, not for weight loss. I miss my morning coffee with creamer but like to have dinner around dinner time, so I wait until 10 to eat and pretty much have two meals. I am on a special 5-day lower calorie, specific-macronutrient program that mimics water fasting. I've done it multiple times before, always at the turn of the seasons, and this is the 5th day. Not hungry but do have fantasies of putting more on my plate or adding a little of this or that just before I finish meal prep. One more day.
