I made myself stay on the treadmill today for 40 min and walked 2 miles on it.
It made me sweat.

Today is my first day of commitment to getting some exercise each day.

Day 23 - my streak is for walking daily and I was late getting to it today, 20 min during a work break. I'm having to sneak in little 5-10 minutes stretches at my desk, too, to keep from freezing up after really breaking a sweat yesterday at the gym. emoticon

WoW! Honestly, it's 9.04pm, today in Perth and I did not do this challenge, today. Will do so, tomorrow!!!
What a great idea. I'm impressed.

As of last night I have hit Day 5. Still just doing the 15 mins on the treadmill but it's a start right? And wow still very hard for me to manage those 5 mins at 3 mph. At just 5 feet ... my legs have a hard time moving that fast. LOL

everyday I do 10min with Denise Austin and only dream to look like her someday!
Then 3 times a week do my regular excercises getting the heart rate up.
2x's a week my husband and I do an activity together like golfing,bowling,walking ect
It's fun to work together and see the results.
I have already lost 45 lbs and 3 dress sizes!

Day 2 for me and I rode by bike at 7min 30sec a mile for 2 miles!!~! That's 15 minutes!! I also walked around my office for 30 minutes(1 mile).

May 16 is Day 16 for me for this streak - pretty pathetic so far, cause work is - well, I double-booked myself this a.m. and got stood up twice. They'll probably both walk through the door as I'm leaving for lunch. Meanwhile, I snuck in a quick walk in circles out front. But, I plan to swim this evening - can hardly wait!

Day 11, and my place in the Spark Stage 2 is to do my exercise in 10-15 min increments in different places, so that works! I walked 'backwards' of my usual route taken during what used to me my morning smoke break - and put some sashay back into my walk, with the tune "move it, move it, move" from Madagascar running thru my head. So today, this was no power walk, it was a strut-yo-stuff wiggle walk. What fun! (My mother-in-law works part time in a store on my route. I wonder if she ever looks out the window?)

I have been doing kitty-lifting exercises in the back yard, any way, and push-ups against the fence. So, I think my 'somewhere different' is going to be at the gym after work. The gym is still new to me, as I've been a member for all of 3 days.

Hi Meredith - here's why there are 2 boards. The original group was started prior to our Groups feature and is listed in the SP Challenges forum. Then, this board was automatically started when the Group was started.

Eventually, we will enhance the Groups feature in a way that will probably have me move everything here, but for now it would be great if everyone can post on the other board regularly (one thing you can do is add the other board to your "Quick Links").

Day 9 15 min walk in the morning, cardio with trainer scheduled for later in the day - 50 minute session, may only be 15-20 minutes exercise, tho. The personal trainer is a free jumpstart with my new gym membership.

OK Spark Guy, this challenge did it's job for me today. I had SO many excuses, good excuses, too! I swam for an hour yesterday (!) after 5 years out of the water - Can't I count some of yesterday's exercise towards today? [No: the deal is every day] BUt every muscle in my body hurts, and shouldn't I rest for a day to let them recover? [Good one, but NO: Changing your exercise from day to day doesn't mean actually sitting like a lump on add days] So, you win (and I win!) I went out and walked for 10 minutes - It took me 15 minutes, but I took my 10-minute walk. emoticon
