Hi to all the new members! This club sure helps me be motivated to get up and exercise!
60 minutes swimming today (it's so cool - there's this big clock on a tower by the little lake I swim at so I can see how long I am swimming- keeps me from shorting myself)

Hi, Can I join you? I had a couple of bad days with no exercise, but today I walked for 35 minutes and did 3 strength exercises. My goal is to walk for at least 25 minutes 6 days a week and do 3 strength training exercises 3 times a week for starters.

Hi, I'd like to join this group, as exercising for 10 min a day is one of my goals. (I hate exercising, but I'm doing it.) I've started all over on 6/21 and after one week of daily exercising 10 min, keeping fairly within my cal goals everyday and drinking 4 glasses of water a day at a minimum, I've lost 7lbs! For me that's big! Now to KEEP IT OFF!!!
Today: 10 min of cardio and a walk down to the creek w/our kids!

Hey Trisha - hope you feel better now! Even if you were sick for a few days, it never hurts to start up again!
I really didn't get to do anything yesterday because of church and family events, but I made up for it today with 60 lovely minutes swimming. I love lakes where you can't touch ground - you have to move!

And Indigo - yep - starting off easy is a very good idea - better to start slow and build up than start off at full steam and drop out! (Remember the story about the tortoise and the hare....?)

Yesterday was my first attempt and since the weather was miserable, it was much easier to watch tv. I did do 100 crunches/twists, over the course of 10 minutes. Does that count? Tonight I am hoping to do some Walk Away the Pounds workout. I figure starting off easy is better than nothing at all, right?

Hi Paula - don't worry if you don't do this everyday - just try to do it as many days per week as you are comfortable with!

Some people do like doing a streak to see how many in a row they can do. I encourage this IF it's a motivator and IF people don't get too upset once they eventually miss a day.

Hi! Everybody. I didn't do anything yesterday. Am I supposed to post that? I guess I feel a little guilty, but I know I also need the rest. I was trying to do continuous exercise but I never did say for how long after I made the 1 week challenge. So, I went as far as Day 11. I am cleaning a house today that has stairs. I'll make a point to go up and down a few more times just for the sake of exercise.
Have a good day!!

Thanks! MONLJS.
Keep up the streak. You'll be reaching your goal before you know it.

I think I'm just gonna keep going. I count every little activity. Gardening, cleaning house, washing the car. But, I don't think all those help to melt the pounds away, but they definitely add to it. I still think I need to put in the workout for a true effort toward my goal.
This will be day 10. I will go to the gym to do some strength exercises. I'm working on my flabby underarms. I want to know what its like to have arms with defined muscles. I've never really thought about my arms that much. I guess thats why I have flab. Any suggestions on a good exercise?
Have a great day, everyone!

I'm on day 3 here. Today (well, actually it's now yesterday since it's after 2am) I walked 30 minutes, then did 30 minutes of cleaning the basement and moving boxes for a garage sale.

Today was Day 9 of continuous exercise. I walked for an hour at the park early this morning. It was a nice change from the gym. I can tell it gave me a jolt start this morning.
I did about 10 leg lifts and tricep push ups(?) I'm not sure what you call them. My body was hanging under me as I held onto the bar and pushed my arms up straight and bent them down.) Anyway, I felt it doing the job. I did about 20 pushups, also. It's getting easier.
