Hi LOREENYK.

I am also running in the Disneyland Half Marathon. Did you register directly with run Disney? Or go through a travel agent? I went through a travel agent- I was too afraid of getting shut out.

We are staying at Paradise Pier.

In 2013, the race started in Downtown Disney, but way in the back, out by the Disneyland Hotel. You can find race maps for previous years online. I don't think they change their routes too much.

Thanks for the replies! I finally found a map of the area online and have narrowed it down to a few options. I think the race starts at Downtown Disney - can anyone confirm that?

There are so many hotels right there tha tyou don't have to stay onsite if you are looking to save any money. We have stayed at the Castle Inn and Suites, Portofino (both right on Harbor accross the street from the entrance) and lately our hotel of choice is the Jolly Roger which is actually on Katella just behind Carsland in CA Adv.. Honestly I just look for a clean place that is very inexpensive since we spend such minimal time in our room while we're there. If you are one who likes to lounge around your hotel, these probably are not good choices. And I do know a lot of people who stay at the Howard Johnson right off I-5.

I think that will be the only way I will run another half marathon - if I get to do it at Disney! Good Luck!

I've never done a race at DL, so I don't know if the race setup affects what entrances you can use or anything like that, but when I've gone to DL, I found that there are a number of good hotels on S. Harbor Blvd. If I remember correctly, the Best Western Park Place Inn is the closest to the main entrance. A few years ago my parents stayed at the Anaheim Plaza Inn & Suites, which they said was also very close to the main entrance.

On property hotels are probably the most convenient, but they are more expensive.

I wish I could help more, but I really don't know much about the hotels.

I haven't done the DL races yet, so I'm hoping someone else will chime in with some help. They do have 3 on property resorts, have you looked into those yet?

I want to run all the races!

I could use a little help! I got into the Disneyland Half in September and I have no idea where to stay! There are so many hotels that come up when I go through Westjet vacations...any recommendations? I think I need to book as soon as possible! Please help!
