Thelma, I am so glad to hear that the doctor who was drunk and touched you inappropriately has retired. Too bad he could not have been fired.
I do understand about being doctored out. Do get the tumor removed and follow through with the endo until you are feeling better.
I am sure people are flocking from all over to the beaches. One of the advantages of here is no one is coming in to vacation so just the locals are at the beaches.
Sorry your son is not being wise about the masks.
Sorry about your DH finding the snake skin. Snakes and spiders changed after sin entered. Spiders do eat other insects which can be helpful.

Karen, your days sounds like our days here meaning in the mid 80’s.
It was nice that your daughter brought you a sandwich from the restaurant you recommended.
I would pass on the cans of beans as I seldom eat them.
Good to hear that your sister’s husband and you are still in contact. Did they have children?

Sharon, the 70’s sound pleasant but not below that. Seems like nature likes to play games giving us a drizzle.

Tee, we have Kmart but no Walmart.
Glad you could post one picture from the many that have been put out.
Sounds like the people in your office use you as a crutch.
Hope the water comes back on when they said it would.

I got labs this morning for chemo tomorrow.
After the chemo I hope to stop at a teacher supply store and get a gift certificate for one of my granddaughters. She has just gotten her Masters Degree and the family will have a dinner for her Saturday night. I have given her some of the supplies from when I was teaching but thought she would enjoy getting something for her class that is new. Yes, teachers supply much of what is in their classrooms because there is never enough funds for the children.

Stay safe and well Grandmothers!

Jane

Jane...Walmart sells the walker tray in case that store is there. Below is only picture I was able to copy from NYC flower street site:

Thelma...John Hopkins is a good hospital. I hope you schedule tumor surgery when quarantine ends. Sorry about the cyst. An endocrinologist (thyroid doctor) is type you will be sent to for high glucose. Thyroid doctor regulate thyroid and glucose. My endo does scan in her office. I took generic synthroid and had chest pain, anxiety, palps, brain fog, etc. I don't take that medication anymore. Unfortunately, doctors don't prescribe my medication to patient with heart problems. High glucose could mean you need increase in thyroid medication. I was prediabetic when I took too little medication. You may not want to see doctors, but good health depends on seeing them. Thyroid cyst could also be from taking too little thyroid medication. How often do you get thyroid labs? Thyroid doctors here do labs and see patient every 4 months. I rarely see other doctors with good thyroid care. Sorry bird is attacking your plant. I live in snake country and dislike them as much as mice. Nothing DH says to DS will change his drinking until DS wants to change. My ex was an alcoholic that didn't learn from experience.

Karen...Food prices have gone up everywhere. Sausage sandwich sounds good. 10 cans of pinto beans. emoticon I received plenty of beans when I was out of work and on food line and gave them away. You have our weather. I hope you managed to do outside work.

Nasfkab...Wishing you all the best.

Sharon....Nice that yesterday was good for you. Good that Hailley's skin is better.

It is cold and windy on the coast. It was warmer at work. LA, etc is having heat wave and coast is freezing. Go figure!

I worked but got little done. My coworker is depressed and needed a shoulder to lean on. She takes antidepressants that aren't working. Her doctor agreed to thyroid testing. My boss( coworker's mother) arrived worried and anxious in the afternoon. Her hubby's replacement knee infection is worse. He can't move knee, get out of bed, stand, etc. Ortho doctor said he may need 7th surgery to clean infection. Days like this make me grateful for good health.

My eldest DD received a school assignment. She doesn't know what grade she will teach, but heard the principal is best in district. My son moves into his home on Sunday.

My apt complex water will be off from 8 - noon today, which means I need to get up early to shower and wash hair. So I better get to bed.

I woke up to a light rain and cloudy. It is 58 but will be in the 70s today with some sunshine. A nice spring day. We need the rain but we aren’t really getting much. It is more a drizzle than anything. I guess it will be working inside today. I did a few things around the house yesterday and did better at walking so that made me happy, The is still room for major improvement. I can do this. Hailley is getting her hair cut today and that is good because her skin is getting better at this point so that might really help. It seems to get worse as her hair grows out. The things we do for our loved pets. Hope you all had a good weekend and that today is a nice one for all.

It is a toasty Tuesday in Ohio. Should get up to 86 today. I need to get out & sweep my porch & do outside things before it gets hot.

My daughter surprised me with leftovers for lunch yesterday. Her & hubby took a drive north & tried a little restaurant known for good sausage sandwiches. I had recommended it. She brought me back a sandwich so yesterday was a no cook day for me. I decided to make a cheesy potato casserole this morning. I was given a huge bag of shredded potatoes & wanted to use some of them. I am using a recipe from Fix it & Forget it. Yesterday my sister in law brought me 10 cans of pinto beans. Someone got them from a food bank. I am set for beans for several months! It is nice to receive extra food. I use to shop at a discounted Kroger's store. I did the curbside pickup at a local store this week & the prices were so much higher. I do appreciate the curbside pickup & got all but one item but I paid way more than I use to.

My older sister Nancy would have turned 76 on May 23. I got a surprise call from her hubby that evening. Nancy passed away in 1997. Yesterday was my ex hubbies birthday & would have been our 56th wedding anniversary. We got married right out of high school & on his birthday. Not a very smart thing to do!

That tray for the walker is a great idea.
TEE.. sorry you had to throw the mac & cheese out.
SHARON...were you able to get more done? Sometimes a day off is ok!
Hope you are all doing ok

Tee, I misspoke...it is a cyst on thyroid and above on throat under ear it is a tumor....that is what I was to have removed last fall and anxiety was running high so I cancelled. Need to reschedule that after I see this new Dr and get scan results of thyroid This Dr and the one that retired are the ones to refer me to John Hopkins for surgery....it is a surgery not done in this immediate area and Hopkins is a well know hospital. The new Dr and one I seen are Otolaryngologist...they are the one I was sent to when tumor was found. After taking the radiation drink I was NOT told that I would eventually need meds to replace thyroid function until having issues with sleep and being sluggish.....the new Endo asked why the Dr did not tell me that....could have told him the Dr that did it was a drunk.....did not find that out until after treatment of drink.....that Dr also did inappropriate touching so never went back....I should have reported him but figured no one would believe me....I feel bad in knowing he likely did it to others....Makes me shiver even now to think of.
I am on Synthroid or rather the generic of.....I feel I am "Doctored Out" so don't care to see any more than I have to....glucose numbers are high here of late so if I don't get a handle on that my family Dr will want me to see a Dr for that!

People @ the beaches this weekend went crazy....no masks, large crowds.....have people lost all common sense????? I bet if I were to run down the beach yelling "SHARK" they would run to safety out of the water for fear of death.....but wearing a mask for safety is not for them. Unfortunately my DS is one of those people.....he does avoid crowds and is a bit of a germ o phobic but he does not wear a mask......I should give him "Time Out".... emoticon ....if I were to give him "Time Out" for anything it would be for having a dang beer can in his hand all the time. Guess he forgot that style of life lost his first house, landed him in jail and a broken marriage. I know he is an adult but REALLY!! I told DH to give him a talking to but I don't think he will.....and even if he does say something to him DH is famous for not being very diplomatic .....the men in my life giving me anxiety high's emoticon

Worked in yard and garden all day yesterday and then got mowing done. Today will be another busy day as I want to clean the inside and out of vehicle.
Jane....sorry you are having issues in walking....pray you get better. Going to church when crowds are not to bad a good choice

Had to bring my plant back inside....the little house wren was not giving up! I threw a towel over plant and I watched as she flew toward plant then I saw towel move...so that did not deter her at all. DH found a snake skin right outside patio door. I am not that fearful of snakes but would like a heads up they are in the area and don't scare the Ba-Jee-Bees out of me
I have a bigger fear of spiders.....there is a purpose for everything but I hope to get the opportunity to ask the Good Lord what the purpose of any spider is except to give my heart a jump start emoticon emoticon emoticon

Sharon, sorry you did not get much done. Hope today is better.

Tee, I will check into the tray. Thank you. I hope not to use the walker very much but who knows.
Sorry about the allergies.
It doesn’t sound good with people not being careful. I agree about staying away from crowds. I think your nephew gave his mom some very good advice. If I go to church it will be the afternoon and evening services because we do not have as many people attend and so distancing should be easier but I will wait to see how things are first.

A friend sent me some pictures of what a company is doing in NYC that is delightful. I tried to post pictures but could not so I am giving you the name so you can google what they did.

Jane...There are walker trays. I bought one for my dad so he could transport things easily. He loved it. It is made of heavy plastic and slips over top of walker. Holders for the side of walker are also sold. Here's a picture of tray:

Thelma...I agree with Jane that you need to light fire under your doctor and see specialist. Several people I know had heart attack from untreated thyroid condition. They were prescribed medication after attack and doing fine.

Sharon....I hope making up you mind led to movement.

Nasfkab...Glad you were able to check email. Sleep well.

It has been cool (50-60) and windy here. My allergies started upon waking due to people mowing lawn. Allergy nasal spray did away with symptoms until people bbq'd. I did laundry and some cleaning. I went to two grocery stores for somethings and they were out of them. At least I got out.

A hiking trail was closed by police on Saturday due to crowds not distancing and wearing mask. The casino sil works for opened on Friday for VIP invitation only and 700 people showed up. Meat packing plant closed here due to high number of positive cases. Gov is opening mall stores and churches with guidelines. My nephew doctor instructed his mom to stay out of stores and churches. I will do the same.

Good morning. We didn’t get much rain at all. It was just a little drizzle and nothing more. It is really dry so would love to see a good shower. It will be 70 today and a little sunshine here and there with light wind. It has been a fairly nice holiday weekend for us. Today is going to be a day where I get some things done. I have made up my mind to get out early and get moving. Yesterday turned into a quiet day so was disappointed with my accomplishments. I did enjoy my day but didn’t get anything done. I hope you are all having a great weekend.

Well, I am back to the walker. Not happy about it. emoticon Trying to carry a laundry basket is a challenge as well as dishes.

Sharon, I hope things get better for you. I do understand your frustration of wanting to do things but not being able to.

Thelma, are you seeing an endocrinologist? If not start making noise with your primary doctor until someone listens. Get the results now about the scan and insist on seeing someone. Hypothyroidism is not something to sneeze at. It sounds like you may have Hashimoto Thyroiditis which is another form of hypothyroidism. Your doctor(s) are being too dismissive! If you do not have some type of thyroid medication you should have been started on something after the radiation. MAKE NOISE!!! GET HELP!!!
Birds invading your personal things like the clothes pin bag and now your flower pots. Oh, boy.
Sorry about the fishing licence snafu. I would be interested in watching someone going for a swim in the uniform.

Tee, what is crazy is the local bananas are more expensive than the imported ones. We really do not have a choice about getting fresh fruit since it is over 6,000 miles to CA.
Glad your check was an automatic deposit.
Sorry about the swollen legs/ankles, no fun.
Sorry you had to throw the mac and cheese because of the spoilt milk.

I have not done much today. Tomorrow perhaps…

Hope your Memorial Day is nice. emoticon

Jane...Wonderful you are walking with cane. Glad it helps your knee along with walking. Imported fruit is expensive. I paid $6 for Chilean grapes out of season. The price rose to $10 two days later.

Nasfkab...Hope you are safe and well.

Sharon...Glad you walked yesterday. Sorry you lack energy and ambition.

Thelma....Happy to help. I never wanted anything to do with medicine and work in the medical field. Go figure. My doctor learns a lot from me too. My knowledge comes from researching my conditions for better treatment. T3 and T4 are not the proper tests. The proper tests are TSH, FREE T 3 and T 4 test, antibodies and Reverse T3. Radioactive drink and scan results qualifies you to see a thyroid specialist for treatment. Do you take thyroid medication? People without thyroid need to take medication. I don't have a thyroid and get air hunger, lack of energy, sleep a lot, pass out, and swell when taking too little thyroid medication. My doctor decreased my thyroid med in Dec and above symptoms and pain returned. My labs were in range, but not optimal for my body. Have you had a sleep apnea test? My relatives with heart disease were positive for apnea. My relatives and friends that had a heart attack were prescribed thyroid medication after attack. Praying you receive proper treatment.

I bought a hanging plant yesterday to add to my window collection. Planting is contagious. I received letter from IRS yesterday that my stimulus will be direct deposited to my bank account. This was done last month. Yikes!

I didn't do laundry since ankles/legs extremely swollen. Didn't feel up to tackling the stairs.. I went to Costco for gasoline, roasted chicken and veggie burgers. They are closed tomorrow and I need gas to get to work on Tues. No veggie burgers, but tons of toilet paper. Came home to clean, vacuum, change bed and cook. I made mac and cheese side dish. It tasted like poison and I tossed. Realized the milk I used had spoiled and made another batch with fresh milk. Dark chocolate covered strawberries for dessert.

I started watching 19 Presents on Netflix last night. Didn't realize it was foreign(Italian) film since I always do cc. Movie wasn't anything to write home about. Titanic on regular tv tonight.

Happy Memorial Day!

Tee

Tee, I looked up the "air hunger"...WOW! Have you ever considered being a Dr? I learn more from you than most Dr's I go to! I must look up when thyroid T3 & T4 were done and see what levels were. I know when I had my heart attack the Dr said thyroid was overactive....that is when I told him I had NO thyroid due to having radioactive drink...they questioned me over and over about that but never once did they tell me then that there was a thyroid to show up in scan....so now we have a cyst on that. It is the cyst further up the neck that on occasion gives a very quick pang...then gone.
Last couple of days I am so sleepy...find myself going to sleep sitting in front of TV. Last night we took a ride to give the lady that collects donations for cemetery mowing and I thought for a minute I was gonna fall asleep standing up! Came home brushed teeth, washed face and climbed under the covers for a long night sleep, and still sleepy this morning @ breakfast. This afternoon had to crash again...this is getting crazy!
I had to laugh out loud about Tee describing upper body jumping and lower did not....mostly because that has happened to me! Like my feet were glued to floor emoticon
While cleaning yesterday I set 3 pots of plants out on back porch, then swept concrete off...last night DH & I went out there and I asked did he kick the near empty bag of potting soil that was under the plants...he said not. This morning soil there again. Got home this afternoon and same thing....then I found the evidence to what was going on. The house wren that built in my clothes pin bag earlier this year then something happened that the eggs did not hatch....guess she is gonna try again.....NOT on my watch! I don't need peeping birds to draw in snakes on my porch. Those birds are determined!!!
Made several tries to renew DH's fishing license online after I finally got mine. Sent email to DNR explaining my issue. They told me to use a separate email address since only one email per license. I did that, Still no luck. So on a quick run today to pick up more potting soil stopped @ Walmart...they said the site froze up on them and they could not renew. Came home and gave another try....NOTHNG...so I sent them an email I was DONE and I would copy off the 3 emails I sent to them for help and place it in our fishing gear box and if stopped by a DNR officer would show them that.....all this mess over a stupid $5 senior license...if they try to hand me a citation someone is going for a swim! And I vote for the one wearing an uniform emoticon emoticon emoticon

Good morning. Cloudy here and chance of rain today. I hope we get some. If it doesn’t rain I will try get out and do something. I sure haven’t had any energy or ambition to do things and I really need to get some. Yesterday was a lovely day as the sun came out and we had temps in the upper 70s. I was tired all day but did get a little walking in. I hope you all have a good day today.

Nas, Tee, gave a good description of the Sweet Magnolias theme.

Thelma, I hope you get the results of the scan quickly especially since the cyst is bothering you. Make sure you mention that when you call.
Your plants sound great and the rain sounds good.
Sometimes dads do not realize the damage they do to their children. So sad.
Getting children to wear a mask can be very difficult especially if they have other problems that we cannot see.
Sorry the company your son works for has to spend so much money cleaning if someone comes down with the virus.
Hope your breathing is better now.
Good to hear things are easing up where you live.
Sharon, glad Marshall was able to mow and clean the yard for you.

Karen, sounds like you had a good day out. Having you mask and using it when around others sounds like a good idea. We are told to wear masks even at the drive throughs.
Sorry so many in your town have the virus, especially those working in the turkey processing plant. Especially sad about the nursing home people.
Hope the power outage did not last more that they told you it would.

Tee, sorry people are not following the guidelines about wearing masks.
Glad you found your fruit and enjoyed the cherries. I think I will really miss them this year since I will not be going stateside. Paying almost $8. for a small basket of cherries is way above my budget.
McDonalds serves different things at different location. That is true of other fast food establishments all over the nation including Guam.

I have had a quiet day although I am walking with the cane which seems to be actually helping my knees. I need the exercise.

Be safe everyone.

Jane

Jane...beautiful picture. Sad the virus led to no display this year. The Help is coming to Netflix on June 1st. I saw the dvd. It was funny.

Nasfkab...Sweet Magnolias is about about three female friends lives and spa opening. I hope cyclone is over.

Thelma...Good the scan is done. I hope you get results. Glad you took advantage of rose sale. My sister and thyroid patients get the air thing too. It is called "air hunger." Maybe the cyst pressing on thyroid is causing the symptom. A friend took her 5 yr old daughter to the beach today. She posted a video of her running in the water on fb. I noticed adults walking past them weren't wearing a mask and masks are mandatory here.

Sharon....Nice weather. Glad lawn is done and you did a few things yesterday. Keep going.

Karen...Great that you got out. I am sure it felt good. I didn't know McD's had biscuit and gravy. Egg McMuffin is my favorite. Nice of you to donate to thrift stores. I have a pile of stuff to take to local thrift stores and they aren't open. Good weather. I hope you are able to sit on porch and visit with your sister.

I just shopped today. My apnea was bad last night and I slept a lot. Then, lack energy on Saturday. I bought cleaning items and produce at store. Put everything away and couldn't find fruit after dinner. Left the bag in car trunk. I love summer fruit and ate cherries tonight.

My ankles are very swollen. When I scratched my left ankle, I noticed it hurt. I noticed this before but it doesn't hurt when I walk. Unsure if swelling or something else is causing the pain.

TT banged when I went walked into my bedroom at noon. I felt vibration under my feet. I figured if she wants noise, why not jump. I tried jumping. My upper body went up but lower body didn't move. LOL So I took my cane and banged on the bedroom wall.

I wore paper mask and had trouble breathing. Took it off a few times in aisle that was empty so I wouldn't pass out and put it back on. Drug store had cotton/polyester mask for $6 that I considered buying. Cashier had one on and said he could breath while wearing it. Then, I thought if I can breath with cotton mask perhaps it doesn't protect me virus and didn't buy. I have a few material masks with elastic that needs tightening that I can wear when fixed.

Sweet Sunday to all.

Hello Ladies

I decided to get dressed & out of the house today. My first stop was the McDonalds drive through to get some biscuits & gravy. I went to a nearby town to donate things I have been saving for them. This local thrift store helps people in the community & their resale prices are really low. I had another box for the GW store. The workers were all wearing masks. I drove by the lake & saw many people out fishing, walking & riding bikes. No one wearing masks. I didn't go in any stores but it is my second time out in about 2 months. I took my mask but did not put it on.

MY TOWN HAS MORE THAN 68 CASES. The county has 181 cases. Many of the cases are in a turkey processing plant & a nursing home. We know that is not good.

It is warming up this next week, into the 80's. Tonight we have a planned power outage. It is not suppose to last more than 12 hours. I decided to hold off on getting my groceries just in case the power was out & my food had to be thrown out.

NAS...I hope things have settled down & you are not having more storms.

Hope you are all staying well & have low pain days.

Good morning. The sun is shining this morning and it is 66 degrees out right now with temps near 80 today. There are a few chances of light showers but not a good chance. We could use rain. Today I will get out in the yard and get some more things done. Marshall mowed and weed whacked yesterday so that is done and it is looking pretty good. Yesterday I did get a couple things done but still not a lot. I need to do more and will keep working at it. Hope you have a good day and that you are staying safe.

Hello ladies
I have been reading most days to keep up with what is going on. It has been a very busy week for me. Had thyroid scan Tue, was told the Dr would have results in 2-3 days...my appt with this new Dr taking over for the one that retired is not until July...I must call this week coming to see if I can at least get results before then. I have noticed that the cyst on neck above thyroid is bothering me with some pain now and then.
Got a few plants potted and ran into great sale of Knockout roses at Home Depot store....was 1/2 price and very healthy looking plants. Bout 2 then when he had to go back for a return next day I got another. I got scratched up big time on forearm while planting. "Thought" I had another bag of potting soil left to finish up potting other plants but I miscalculated so now have to wait until get more soil to finish up potting plants. Got a soaker rain yesterday so what I did pot or plant benefited big time. Suppose to get warmer each day now with Wed to be on humid side
Last week while shopping was upset in a few things I witnessed. While fishing at the lake a father I suppose had 2 sons with him. The younger being 5 or 6 at most and the other a bit older. The father you could hear yelling at both of them. then he was "drill Sargent" in the face of the younger one. could hear him yell repeatedly "why are you crying" i wanted to walk down and throw his sorry arse in the water. poor kids!!! then next day @ Walmart saw this young man holding a small infant and a little girl about 5 or 6 walking behind him. the young man was the only one wearing a mask!!!!!! what goes thru these people's minds???
spoke with our son the other day, he was on his way back to truck terminal with his load when he was notified the terminal was "shut down" due to a trucker from up north tesing positive for the virus after being at his home terminal the night before. They shut down the terminal and call in a company to come in to "DEEP" clean and sanitize the area's. DS said it cost the company $30,000 to do this and they have had to do this at his terminal 4 times!!!
had a rough day yesterday, don't know what was going on....pressure in chest and seemed to not be able to get my air. went back to lay on bed and breathing seemed to get worse so got up and came out on recliner couch...breathing issue not so bad then. i am questioning if the pollen is the problem although never ever had any issue with it before. DH asked did i want to go to er.....uh....no!!!!! that is not a place you want to be unless you really have to! out small town now has reported 12 cases of virus. last Friday the governor lifted say at home orders to safe at home. some businesses are opening up in this area. i will continue to wear a mask for a while yet.....hate that thing but would hate to get sick also

Nas, thank you.

Sharon, hope get things done you want to get to.

Tee, sounds like you were really busy. I would not be looking forward to fog especially if you have to go out.
I know what you mean about not always remembering shows I watched before.

For several years Guam has put out flags for the military men who died retaking Guam during WWll and for the Chamorro people who died during the Japanese occupation. It is done at now Asan Park where the Marines led the assault. The Army led the assault south of Agat Village.
It is so sad that COVID-19 has stopped this display this year.
I am putting up a picture that the park service has as I think it is nicer than the one I took in 2018.
If you would like to see other pictures of the flags and even videos check “War in the Pacific National Historical Park”

Jane....I am happy you received the check and knee injection helped. I hope you locate the ringing sound.

Nasfkab...You are correct about court being expensive. Never know what type of judge a person will get either.

Sharon....I can't believe it is Memorial weekend either. I thought it was next weekend. Good that you enjoy quiet days. I need one day a week to recharge. I hope you get some sun this weekend.

60 degrees with breeze during the day. 50, breezy and foggy tonight. The weather was so enjoyable I didn't go out. I repaired items around the house, tossed recycle and trash and worked on refrigerator. Took 2 hours to clean and repair refrigerator. I didn't get around to cleaning refrig door shelves and that will be next. Laundry, vacuuming, and floor mopping tomorrow.

I have been staying up late to watch Sweet Magnolias and almost finished series. I will return to watching the Crown next since there are only two episodes left. The problem with series shows is I forget what they are about when a new season arrives. I have to go back and watch a few of the last episodes to know what is going on.

Wishing all a sweet Saturday.

Good morning. It is a grey day here today but temps will be in the 70s and we will see a little sunshine with a nice breeze. I am hoping to get out today and do something. It hasn’t worked out for me so far this week but soon I hope. I can’t believe it is Memorial Day weekend. It seems strange to say that school will soon be done when the kids haven’t been in school for several months now. Everything is strange. Yesterday was a quiet day and didn’t feel up to much but watch TV and rest. I need those days sometimes. Hope you all have a great long weekend and that you are able to do some of what you want to do.

Sharon, your weather sounds good. Rain is needed if the plants are to grow. Glad yesterday was productive for you.

Nas, it is lovely when given a gift that you enjoy wearing.
I am sorry to hear about the cyclone. Hurricanes, Typhoons, Cyclones are terrible to live through and deal with after they have passed. Winds of 150 miles per hour or more are devastating. Our typhoon season starts in July through January although they can come anytime of the year.

Tee, it does make for a nicer day to exclude the politics. They are so messy right now.
I wonder if your manager has thought about you suing the owner and manager.
I have not been able to walk on the beach but I would like to get close enough to enjoy watching the waves.
The paper announced that the USS Theodore Roosevelt left port. It is close by doing some maneuvers before going where ever it will be going.
Sorry about the rude people when you went shopping. Glad you have protein in the freezer.
I finished the Sweet Magnolias series and hope Netflix gives us some future ones. They sure left things in a lurch.

The check came in today. Now to get it deposited.
I got the first Hyalgan shot in the left knee today. Things are looking up. Hopefully I will be back to a cane soon. A cane means I can move around some without the extra support which means cleaning is easier.
Something is ringing in my house. It is not my ear because when I plug it the ringing is gone.

Stay safe everyone.

Jane

Jane....I took your advice and not looking at political stuff family sends. I wore headphones at work so I could listen to music instead of coworkers rant. Sorry knee pain keeps you from doing things. Glad heating pad helps. I hope injection relieve pain and increases your mobility.

Sharon....Good to read yesterday was a good moving day for you. Enjoy rain and sun this weekend.

Nasfkab....Sorry the cyclone caused coastal floods and loss of lives. Many people here that wear a sari.

I forgot about lawsuit cost. Good idea to ask manager or owner to pay. I know if I were to consult a lawyer, he/she would want to sue apt owner too since she could have gotten tenant out sooner.

Nice weather here. Supposed to be hotter this weekend. I would love to walk on the beach but don't know if legs will cooperate. I was invited by my health ins co to join Join Academy which is virtual physical therapy that ins pays for. I haven't joined yet since pt has to call me and I haven't been home. They provide pt exercises for knees, hips, etc. I need all of them but starting with knees since they hurt the most.

I stopped at two grocery stores on way home from work. First was farmers market with little produce. Second had plenty of fresh produce and little meat. I attempted to get pork chops in meat case and three people ran in front of me. Two elderly people were more concerned with getting ribs than distancing. I have produce and will eat protein that is in my freezer.

I am hooked on Sweet Magnolias on Netflix and will watch another episode before climbing into bed.

That is why I enjoy being on this team, so much concern for each other, I have seen when they do it its OK but I have no rights. Sorry you are having pain in your knees, Jane, there are many different materials like a heavy brocade or handloom cotton I have one sari, given to me by my grands' other grandparents no idea what it is made of but can only wear it in Dhaka between October - end to February. We have had a cyclone we are OK in Dhaka but the coastal areas have had floods & bodies washed out to sea. Please pray for us.

Good morning. It is going to be a nice day today with a little sunshine and warmer temps. It will be windy again today. We have some chance of showers moving in tonight. I am hoping we do get some rain overnight and tomorrow. Looks like a mixed weekend as far as weather. Rain and sun so a good one for a holiday weekend. Yesterday was a good day for being on my feet and moving. I didn’t get much walking in but did keep busy all day. Hope today is as good and you all have a good day.

Karen, glad your favorite contestant won.

Nas, I did not realize there were different weights in saris. When I was in my early teens my sister had a rooming house at the University of Oregon. One summer some Nepalese ladies stay at her place. Long story short, one of my nieces and I ended up with a couple of the saris the ladies were ready to discard. I finally discarded it a couple of years ago because it was falling apart. It was very light weight. The saris I see here are all light weight because it is the tropics.

Tee, I had not heard that the ship left but that does not surprise me. I hope no more sailors show signs of the virus.
I do understand your frustration with politics. I have family members who are on the opposite side of where I stand. I do not read their posts or listen to the videos they send. I have read enough to know where they stand and I do not need anymore.
Sorry you apartment manager is not feeling well, invited you to dinner and then was not able to follow through.
I agree that it is the managers responsibility to deal with your TT. Law suits cost money. Is she willing to pay for it?

Nas, I think that this team has been careful about what is said politically. No one has attacked another team member even if we have voiced our opinion which is not how others view things.

I have done almost nothing today. Just having a hard time walking as my knees hurt. I get the last shot in the right knee tomorrow and then get the first Hyalgan shot in the left knee next Friday. The heating pad has helped.

Be safe everyone.

Jane

If you were on any other team you would be reprimanded for your post its political I have had several reprimands so I know. You are on the wrong side my dear friend, its hard how rude they can be but have to keep my mouth shut why I wrote the poorest need more help & NOT to give the super rich. Sorry I get very worked up we have the pandemic & we had a horrendous storm so more loss of life. We have lost a few branches etc. It was from the West because the bushes were bowing to the East. End of rant. Stay healthy, safe & well. What is wrong with the manager, Tee? Seems she has something wrong with her.

Jane....Sorry knee injection is wearing off and grocery shelves empty. I started watching Sweet Magnolias last night. News reported USS Roosevelt left Guam. Some sailors aren't on board. The Mercy ship returned to San Diego, CA since they finished their work here.

Nasfkab...Nice that you can wear some dressing in both seasons. I need to keep both type of clothing out since temperature changes often where I live.

Karen...I am glad your favorite won on the Voice. My favorite never wins. Nice that you are switching clothing. Must mean your weather is warming. I hope store has everything on your list.

A little vent here. I am tired of Trump supporters. Every day starts with my east coast family sending me videos or articles and arguing bc we have different beliefs. I hear more when I go to work. It is okay with me if these people want to go out, not wear masks, or distance as long as they sign a paper stating they will not accept treatment if and when they get virus. Today's rant was that virus was started by other political party so Trump wouldn't be re-elected. If he doesn't get re-elected it is bc of his mouth etc.

70 and sunny today. Will be hot (80s) next week. I didn't get to shop after work or walk bc apt manager phoned to invite me to dinner. I left her message that I was working, got home at 6-6:30 pm and asked her to let me know if that was okay. No call. I knocked on her door when I got home. She said she was too tired, etc to make dinner, and gave me two meatballs, some cheese and a pretzel roll. She looked sick. I hope it isn't virus. She works for the country taking disabled people to job interviews.

She received my email about TT and said she was working on it. Working on it turned out to be she went to police station to ask if TT could report me for disturbing peace for walking, cleaning, etc. Officer said the noise I am make is considered common noise and not disturbing the peace. I don't know why she went to police for advice when I told her the same thing. Then, she says " Why don't you file a harassment lawsuit? I told her I don't have damages. She suggests I see my doctor and tell her TT actions are causing me medical problems so I can file a suit. If this is the way management is working on situation, I am not falling for it. It is up to management to get this person out.

I watched British Baking Show on PBS last night before Netflix. I am hooked on cooking shows although I hardly cook. Time for me to watch Netflix and chill out.

I do not have to change from winter to summer clothes as such. Thing is there are some long dresses that I can only wear in either season. Some saris are very heavy & uncomfortable to wear in the warmer weather. Stay healthy, safe & well.

TEE... I hope your granddaughter does not get the virus. We have a child hospitalized with it now. More cases at the nursing home, too.

I am working on changing out my winter for summer clothes. I have too much of both. I am also working on making a list for grocery curbside pickup.

My favorite on the VOICE show won. He is a pastor & father of 8 kids. Two are adopted.

Take care!

Nas, congratulations to your grandson! How wonderful!

Sharon, I hope you can get into the yard and get accomplished what you want done.

Karen, sorry about the rain. I am with you about getting one load of laundry done.

Tee, the e-mail to the manager sounds good. Keep a copy for your records.
Los Angeles is 55ºF in mid May? brrrrrrr!
I am so sorry to hear that people in you DD place of work have come down with the virus. That is scary.
Hope you enjoyed Netflix.

I was up before five and went grocery shopping during the senior hour this morning. There were a lot of empty shelves. I have been shopping a little a possible in the last weeks but plan to go back to shopping once a week as I was before. I may stop in for something once in a while but not going to work at making it ten days anymore.
I have been watching the series, Sweet Magnolias on Netflix.
Still not doing much because walking hurts. The shot in the left knee seems to have worn off. It does not hurt as much as it did but trying to get things done using a walker is the pits.

It was a beautiful sunny day here but probably too warm for most of you.

Jane...Sorry you did little. That was me yesterday. My body dictates if it is active/inactive day. News reported that gov't is sending prepaid credit card instead of stimulus check to some people. I like your suggestion about calling police if TT disturbs me during those hours. She banged on ceiling at 2 pm today when I was leaving my apt. I sent email about both instances to management.

Nasfkab...Watching coronation movie is nice. I hope your weather cooled off some.

Sharon...80 degrees! You have our weather. LOL Great day to get outside. That is a lot of laundry. I end up having lots to do when I feel well.

Karen...Sorry it is wet and you have to work inside. I do two loads of laundry every two weeks. Thanks...DD is lovely inside and out.

Sunny, 55 degrees and 30 mph winds here. I slept well last night after taking Tylenol. Tylenol lessened pain in my legs, but caused terrible stomach ache. This is second time I had stomach ache after taking Tylenol. I didn't walk tonight since wind was blowing me.
over. Allergies are bad. I took allergy med and spray this morning and still sneezed and coughed. Worked an hour less too.

There were 4 positive cases at my grad DD workplace. One employee works at front desk. However, she visited other employees in the facility and they tested positive. Her work now stated that any employee that does not follow distancing or eats communal food will be fired. It is necessary to be in close contact when treating animals. DD operated on one of the positive employees dog last week. She doesn't associate with front desk or other dept's staff and eats in her car but feels it is just a matter of time before her and significant other test positive.

It was enjoyable to get off computer, and eat dinner while watching Netflix last night. So, I am doing it again.

Good morning. We will have a warmer day with temperatures in the 80s and sunny with wind today. Yesterday was beautiful and I got 4 loads of laundry done and did some small chores around the house. It felt good to get some things done. Today I would like to do a load of blankets and get outside. I have so much work that needs to be done in the garden. Not much else going on so will wish you all a good day and stay safe.

Jane, no bread yet but maybe today.

Nas, almost no rice or salt in the house. No rice because my cardiologist said not to eat it and no salt because I use very little.

Sharon, hope you figured out the breathing problem.
Did you make the bread yet?

Karen, glad you let us know what is going on. Sorry about the router.

Tee, it was lovely today. I am blessed in that I do not need the extra money. The retirement deposit has come in faithfully since I retired in 2006 which is a blessing.
Perhaps calling the police about the harassment you are receiving at all hours can lead to something being done. The next time TT bangs on your floor at 12:30 a.m. call and report it and tell the officer that you will each time it occurs since it has gone on for years. I would do it every time after 10:00 p.m. and before 6:00 a.m.
Your DD’s picture is adorable. One of my GG’s is getting her MA and we were to have a dinner for her…
Rain, sounds like you are making up for the drought.
Hope you had a good walk.
Glad you are enjoying The Crown. I wonder how much I will remember from my childhood. I do remember Elizabeth’s coronation.

I have done little today. Must get out of this slump.

Take care grandmothers!

Jane

Jane....Sorry you haven't received check and the rain. My South Carolina friend said she received check and her hubby hasn't. Good of friend to get heating pad.

Nasfkab....Sorry it is hot. Thanks for congratulations for my daughter and prayers for Rosemary. We think TT has mental condition. Thanks for suggesting putting rice in sock. I have one of those too.

Sharon....Sorry about breathing problems. I hope remedy works and you can get out and do laundry. TT is a pain. The problem has gone on for 1 1/2 years. I agree it is management's problem but hard to evict a tenant unless they do something that results in calling the police.

Karen....I hope your wireless router is fixed soon so you don't have to use phone.

My DD's office had a grad ceremony for her today. Above is picture of her with significant other.

It rained most of the day. Sun, clouds and wind tonight. I haven't done much since I only slept 5 hours last night. Burning and leg pain kept me awake which I think if from medication. I am going to take a walk so the day isn't a complete loss.

I am loving the new season of The Crown Jane. I watched two parts yesterday and enjoyed both.

Stay healthy and safe.
