I've lost 20 lbs. That's 20 lbs less than the weight WW gave me in 1991. I'm in a size 8 slacks, and that's the first time in my history.

I'll probably lose maybe three more lbs and maintain, that will be the killer.

I think size 8 is fine and my BMI is good; that was what started the whole thing, my BMI was too high.

I have lost 27 pds since July 10, 2009! I have hit about 3 plateaus but I am still going strong...hang in there! emoticon

11.5 pounds!!! I'm so glad you asked!

Of course, since I don't have a scale, I can't be sure I haven't crept up in the two weeks since last finding a scale but I'm way ahead of schedule and totally pumped because in 20 years I've never been able to lose any weight while trying ever. Now I know I can lose, and I've learned I have to keep weight training and think about my fitness level as a goal in itself, not just try to be thin. I really can't believe it has only been three months!

Oops. I'm a little behind the times. Okay, 11.5 in 4 1/2 months. Oh well, I'm still happy!

hey don't fret. I lost 9 pounds the first month I started too and haven't been keeping up with it. I feel guilty but at the same time I've been maintaining my weight. It's hard to stay focused...

The good news is that finding spark people has been great. I lost 8 pounds at start due to being mindful of calories taken in. Stopped being so vigilant with tracking and have not lost anything since. There is no magic pill, dedication and mindful eating are a must. With the help of this program I am back on track!

After 3 months I've only lost 10lbs and I'm trying so hard not to get discouraged. I resent having hypothryoidism, but I will prevail....someday :)

hang in there you know it took us a while to gain now it's going to take longer to lose. I'm losing slow as well be I think we will keep it off longer or forever. (that's my goal)!!! emoticon

19 pounds since July 7th. I'm a slow loser so I'm really happy about this. The end of next year I should reach my goal. Meanwhile I'm in new territory as I haven't been this weight since I was a teenager so from here on out it's new ground. Woo Hoo!

I have lost 28 pounds since starting this journey!!!...and now I am only 6 pounds away from my goal weight, I am so happy I found sparkpeople!!!

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!!!!!

Was doing really good lost about 7 pounds in a month then came vacation and I was so proud to have lost 3 more during vacation. On my way home from work I was in an accident and was unable to exercise, at first I was ok but then started to get depressed and turned to food. Needless to say gained all back plus a few. Back to exercise three weeks ago, still can't do upper body but doing cardio and lower body. Beginning to watch what I eat, still not there yet but I've lost most of what I gained back. So overall down 3!! Happy cause this is better than the gain I was showing a few weeks ago.

I lost A LOT ; it is NOT EASY AT ALL, but I can be proud of myself that I am at the end of 3 months and I am still here!
My question : how can I attach all those badges , as"I preordered the book" or "I lost xx lbs" , or "# months Sparkvesary"?

I'm down 46 pounds. Still a long way to go, but I feel so much better and my knees are so much better I can't tell you. When I started I couldn't walk a quarter mile, now I'm up to 3 miles a couple times a week and 2 miles regularlly. The knees are still an issue, but that won't go away without surgery for me. I can do so much more now than I've been able to do in 5 years, I'm just speechless.

As of last Wednesday (10/7) I had lost 18 pounds (15 since joining SP). However, I kind of feel off the wagon over the weekend, so hope I haven't done too much damage. I'm back on track and back to exercising, so it should get back down within a few days! Being part of a challenge has been the key for me.

Kargobeep, slow is better. I am so happy to see how many of you have lost some weight. Don't worry if it is not a lot, 1/2 a pound a week is good, heck 1/4 pound a week is good. As long as it is moving in the right direction and you are getting healthier that is what is important!

Hello SP Class,
As of this morning I have lost 7 pounds since joining Spark People in July. HOORAY!! I feel great. It was slow going at first but now its much easier. I need to lose about 5 more pounds and I will have reached my goal.
Looking forward to seeing the weight come off.

I've lost 14 lbs, I'm also a WW member, so I'm taking it slowly and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Walking, yoga and free weights help me.

I have lost 45 lbs since June 11th. Big improvement in stamina and joint pain. I cycle 3-4 times a week, averaging 12 miles each day.

Autumnlynn, you are so right, the only way you can not succeed at this is to quit! I have met many members who take a long time to get where they want to be, but they make it and most of all they don't ever quit.

I would have liked to have lost a little more but I'll gladly take the 18 pounds! All total I have lost 20 pounds but my ticker shows 18 because I lost 2# before finding SP

I am very pleased to say that I have lost a total of 32 pounds since joining Spark:) I am working on the last 6-10. Now that school has started again, I am not walking as often as I did in the summer but I try to get in a walk as often as I can. I have gone down 2 pant sizes as well. I am determined to stay the course-Spark is the best!

In just 7-9 days you have all been on Spark for 3 months. How much have you lost? I hope at least 10 pounds. If not, don't give up.. any loss is better than gaining and it will come.
