Don't be so hard on yourself. Your HP wouldn't want you to be. Just focus on moving forward. The disease can get the best of us at our lowest point.

Sorry to hear that you are having a hard time right now.

I am very grateful that in OA, I have been able to forget about counting calories and dealing with the whole calories in and calories out equations.

By working the Steps, finding a workable meal plan and sticking with it with the help of my Higher Power and my sponsor, I was able to release over 60 pounds that I have kept off for over 4 years now. That same meal plan (with a bit of modification) allows me to maintain a healthy weight.

Your Higher Power can help you, too. May you find Him/Her now.

The holidays and bad choices cost me 4.5 lbs - I'm up to 180.6 - OMG OMG OMG. This is NOT the direction I want to be going. I was at 176 pre-holiday. I've got to get this together. I've got 130 days left to reach my goal of losing 150 lbs (to go from 180 to 130). Well, that doesn't seem like it's going to happen - not according to this calculator I used, anyway...

Summary: In order to lose 50 pounds in 130 days, you will need to reduce your daily calorie intake from your normal maintenance level of 2410 calories per day, down to 1064 calories per day, or exercise more to boost your calorie burn rate by about 1346 calories per day. A calorie differential of 500 calories a day is equivalent to a 1 pound per week change in weight. Here is a sortable table of the amount of time needed doing various exercises to burn 500 more calories per day.

This is apparently going to take longer than I thought. So frustrated!

Back to work today. I need to get back on track and going to work helps, I need the structure. I have been a slug these last few days and I can really feel it.
I have my O.A. meeting tonight, I really need to hear the message that I always seem to get every time I go to a meeting.
Have a great day- keep your eye on the prize.

It is Sunday and the start of a new week. I had the stomach flu last week and am just getting back to feeling normal.

Hope everyone is doing well. Have a great week!

Boy it is cold outside!
This time of year is tough with all the treats that show up at work. I struggle with baked goods and candy. I have been doing good with the candy part this week, just need to get the baked sweets gone also.

Today is a new day- have a wonderful Thankful Thursday!

Congratulations Nyla on 47 days. I think that was an older post so you probably have more days than that now. I'm struggling with what my abstinence will look like. No sugar, flour? Low carb? I am such a black or white person that ridge es and flexibility are a constant struggle. I set myself up to fail when I don't have a plan.

Hope you have a good day.

So glad it is the start of my work week, I truly do better with my eating when I am busy at work. Weekend I seem to fall apart.
I have come to learn I am a huge sugar addict-once I start I just can't stop eating it.

I have my O.A. meeting tonight, there is a huge detour to where I go and rain/ snow is expected during the commute. I am planning on a giving myself an hour to get there and it should only be a 20 minute drive. emoticon

Have a wonderful Monday!

Congratulations on the 47 days free of sugar, wheat, and flour!

I love that quote in your post about the past. I needed to read that today!

Happy December. I'm on my 47th day clean of sugar, Wheat, and flour and grateful for the recommitment to my food plan. I'm really thankful to be more connected with Step 11 than ever before. The highs and lows are hardly ever. This will be my 25th Christmas year in recovery. The steps have truly brought me this far. It's worth the work and faith.
