Great news! I just call the contact person for the Wednesday noon meeting. She apologized fir nit graying back to you (we ate all volunteers and sometimes life gets in the way) the meeting us still on. Go to the church enter west door y gym, Mt us down the hall on the right. Feel free to teach out to her (Mary)

There are online meetings and those are good as well. www.oa.org

I haunt heard back from region. I could reach bout again if you want. I'm sorry you re going through this. I'm glad you're not giving up

MOM910, have you heard anything?

I reached out to OA's "help" line but they were no help. Just told me to find another meeting. But the only other meetings are a long way from my home.

I drove by the church where those other 2 meetings are supposed to take place but saw no activities and the people in the church office were volunteers and really didn't know anything about meeting rooms.

I guess the good news is that I requested the OA 12 step book from my local library and it is available for me to pick up today. Maybe that will ease my frustrations.

I'm still waiting fir a reply from region. They are probably having the same issue.

If the meeting us close by, you could go and try. If its far, you might want to wait. Sorry you are having this problem. Dont give up!

MOM910,, I clicked on the "contact us" button on the national OA website and sent an email. I have discovered that the website information for face to face meetings is very much out of date. The first meeting listed (Mary) no longer attends and the church says they do not know if the meetings are still being held? The second name listed (Kathy) that phone number has been disconnected. Add to that the fact that the intergroup information has no phone numbers and I am very much confused now about all of this.

Ideas?

I also clicked on the service body website link but did not see anything the resembled information for OA but of course I don't really know what I am looking for. I did leave another message for the leader a few hours ago and I know it's Sunday so I am being patient.

Intergroup is a volunteer group that makes decision for that area about workshops, contacts, meetings, information.

I am not sure what an Intergroup is but I will check into it. Thanks.

I preferred the face to face for the accountability factor but maybe that's just not an option anymore.

Intergroup is a good option. You can google OA your state and it should appear.

Try calling again. Contact people are just other members. We can busy! There are other ways to check like calling in the intergroup. I could help with that if you don't get response again

I am new to the team and new to O A. I found on here a link to meetings; face to face, phone, etc. On this link I found a face to face meeting that is close by my house and I called and left a message for the contact person .. asking if the meetings still took place and so on.

So now 3 days have gone by with no return call. Do I "assume" the meetings are not current or is there another way to get this information?

Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.
