the whole thing is to keep that 33 rd stitch identifed as the middle stitch. that was why I saiid to use a piece of thread under that stith.

you might also want to try putting a regular stitch mrarker there between that middle stitch to keep it identifablle for you

sometimes we all tend to overtthink things I know I do a lot

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much A true friend reaches for your hand but touches your hea

I've never done a Mitered square before and page 51 has a dish cloth I want to try. That mark the stitch is going to confuse me I am sure. I know USMAWIFE said to put yarn in the stitch but as I move up am I untying yarn and marking a new one?

I'm sorry I am a bother I just tend to read over all my pattern and figure out stitches and how to do it before I ever start. Heck yesterday I couldn't knit at all because it seems I lost a needle at my mom's on Friday. So knitting is out until I get to Mom's after church.

Does anyone else get Creative Knitting magazine? Digital or print. I am asking because this month's mag. has a hanging cloth pattern I was thinking of trying but I was a little confused with exactly what was meant with one of the directions.
