Morning all, I must say the two of you really did well with the exercise..that's awesome. I on the other hand did not, but my carbs intake were great. Deb, I am not on a ny special diet, I just limited my car intake and I don't feel restricted. I feel more successful this way.

I am going to get some exercise in..20 mins cardio and 30 mins strength training.

Debbie, emoticon on exceeding your workout routine this week and making yourself proud. I'm sorry that the poleo diet didn't work, but glad to see that you have started a new plan. We have to keep changing things around to make them work for our bodies. WTG with keeping up the focus and your positive attitude.

I as well had a fantastic week. I worked out every day and stayed within my calorie range. I just need to stay consistent and make this work. I have to see progress to feel accomplished.

I'm about to eat something healthy for breakfast and then finish organizing the attic with my husband. My SIL and nephew are coming into town today for the weekend, so I need to do a double check around the house and straigten it up. Plus get in my workout before they get here.

I did fantastic on my exercise this week, I hope I can remain this focused always. I did bootcamp everyday up til today and today I have no cardio because I did it for 5 days. I have two more bootcamp videos for this week and I am going to do them both sometime today. I went 54 miles on my bike! WHOOO HOOO!
I however, am not following the paleo diet like I should. Quite frankly I am tired of being so strict! I feel guilty about everything I put in my mouth even something that would be considered healthy on another diet. If I was seeing the weight loss on it then I prolly would have stuck with it, but I didn't so I will do like Foxy and just keep my carbs to a minimum. I will stay with using the honey instead of so much sugar and see if increasing my calorie works for me.

We are taking our son to meet with an admissions advisor at Devry University. We think this is the college he will be attending as soon as he graduates.

Your regular grocery store should have canadian bacon around where you find regular bacon. You can also try Turkey Bacon to see if you like it.

Hey Foxy, I normally have to look at the bacon to see how much fat to meat it has.

This morning I got on the scale and was down a pound. Woohoo! I'm excited even if it's only a pound. I challenge myself to drop 2 more pounds by next Friday. I'll let you know how that goes. I've been running around all morning to soon get my workout in as soon as I get my son off the bus. Then i'm going to try and see what I could get done in the Attic.

Morning all, I need to catch up on post again.

What is the best type of bacon to buy. I bought the jimmy dean bacon and it has so much oil. My husband said not to buy it again.

I am still doing well with my carbs......I will catch up with workouts today and the weekend.

Nancy, spending money on new things around the house is always fun.

Debbie, I'm sooo sorry to hear about the accident so close to your home, my prayers go out to the families. Please tell your husband to travel safely.

I was able to fall back to sleep for a little while until my son decided he wanted to play at 5am in the morning. He normally plays quietly when he knows he should be sleeping, but not this morning. The snow hardly hit us and only left us with flurries. So, schools are open and on time.

Hey ladies! D~sure hope you were able to go back to sleep. Mommies need their rest. Especially active mommies like you.

We got about 6 inches of snow. We live near interstate 70, my dh travels it on his way to work. Yesterday a tractor trailer truck hit a van full of handicap and disabled people. The van was sent home early because of the snow. 4 of them were killed. I am so saddened about it. The families must be devastated.

Morning all hope all is well. Just checking in really quick. Doing well with eating but missed the gym a couple of times. Wen the dh is off work I get nothing done. Including things around the house. But we did buy a mirrored bifold door for the guest room and a new TV. But the cable isnt working right so have to wait for to come and fix it. Not till Sunday. Its going in the family with all the other new stuff.

Hey Sparkers, WTG Deb with getting in your 60 minutes today.

Today was also successful for me because I've stayed in my calorie range with factoring in my after dinner snack. Tea is really the best filler, thanks for suggesting it to me. It really does fill you up to hold you over until the next meal. I also got in a 60 minute workout between aerobics and stairs.

Deb, you have to be careful and make sure eat enough..that was one of my issues when I was walking. Burning so much but not eating enough.

The good thing is SP has the tools to help us.

My son this morning woke up on the wrong side of the bed. It's a good thing that he doesn't have to head out until 12:30 because I was able to put him back to bed. I didn't think he would go back to sleep, but he did. This gives me time to get in my workout for the day and then I want to focus on cleaning out my downstairs closet.

I couldn't help it I had to figure my calories yesterday. I ate 1730 which sounds like a lot, but I burned 1062 so actually I burned way too much for what I ate. I don't want to mess around and go into starvation mode. Walleyball days are hard to figure, because some days there are way too many people and we have to rotate in and out, then on other days like last night you are only playing with three people on your team and you really have to stay moving if you want to win. I rode my bike for an hour yesterday because the last few times there has been way too many there, but alot did not show; so I ended up really getting a work out! Well better get to exercising!

I went in and changed my nutrition goals to meet my fitness goals. I have upped my calorie burn to about 500 a day; so to keep a balance my new calorie range in 1370-1710.

Joyce~take care of yourself. Remember ice 20 then heat 20 minutes off and on thru out the day.

Made it thru walley ball without any real injuries. Jamming my knuckles seem to be a weekly thing for me but they get better very quickly. Just hurt during the game!

Everyone is doing such a great job. I can feel the energy from all of here. It is like we all got a new breath of air in January. Everyone has their GRRRR faces on. LOL

Debbie you are really going keep working hard.
Foxy hope things are fixed soon. The cold can really be hard on the car I think. Yesterday when I turned off mine the door locks would not unlock. So I started the car unlocked the locks and was able to get out. Then when out again and when I came home turned off the car and they did it again. So I started the car and tried to unlock then wouldnt work. So I pushed the button on the key fob that worked. Told the DH so he will need to look at it. Always something.

me on the other hand - i pulled inner thigh muscle when i was getting into backseat of my friend small car today and hopefully the pain will be gone by tomorrow, i dont want to do more damage. I have been eating and feeling down due to TOM here and i usually do not go to the gym anyway when i have it. emoticon well i will be back at my feet soon i know it is temporary.

I just watch the news our city spent $50,000. on newspaper ad to tell us about how to be a good host for the olympics??!! like it is common sense for most people? emoticon

I can not believe it but I burn 1062 calories today! 60 minutes 13 miles on exercise bike, 120 minutes of walleyball and abs with bootcamp video. UNBELIEVABLE!

Hi all, it's having difficulty turning over. My husband is home today so I do hope he has some great news when I call him later. We only have one car so this is not easy at all. Also, I don't like depending on people.

Hey Deb, Fulton NY is about 5 hours away from me and the weather lady mentioned that we aren't supposed to get snow again until Friday. Hopefully she's right and it stays away until then. WOW, we got 24 inches during the last snow fall, I can only imagine what will happen if we got 54.

Hey Debbie, I wasn't going to do my workout until after Alex left for the day, but you inspired me to just do it. So, I've finished my 60 minute workout. 30 minutes of strength and 30 minutes aerobics.

Foxy, I'm sooo sorry that your car is giving you problems this morning. Trust me, I know how frustrating that could be. I normally take my car to the shop to give it a check up. Have them check all of your fluids and make sure things are running right.

I've just finished a bowl of cereal and now I'm going to take a nice hot shower.

Did my 60 minutes 13 miles on my exercise bike. I have got to get a cushion for my seat. I think I have saddle sores! LOL Completed Bootcamp day 4! Abs on the ball!

Foxy~ we had to buy a new battery for my sons truck because the cold really drains batteries. Does your car try to turn over when starting it or is it just dead. If it will not turn over it might be the battery.

Morning all, we had a lot of late sparking last night, if I knew I would have stayed online.

My car will not start because of the cold weather. How can I get my car prepare for this cold weather?

Good Morning everyone! I need to plan a head on Wed. mornings. My son and husband are both leaving around the same time on Wed. and I have to pack them both lunch and make them breakfast. I sure hope the roads are not slick.

D~bouillon is what people make soup out of sometimes. It is usually in the spice area in the store or in the place where you find soup. It taste just like soup broth but with out all the stuff added to it. It makes a nice warm snack when hungry. They have it in beef or chicken. I use it in chili, homemade soup and stew or just for a snack. If you have ever been in the hospital and restricted to only liquids it is a good chance you have had bouillon.

I think I will do my 60 minutes this morning and my boot camp. I also have walley ball for 180 minutes today that is if the roads aren't slick. Looking forward to a healthy day.

Morning all hope all is well. Still cold this morning. Maybe wouldnt be so bad if it wasnt windy. Got losts to do today. When the DH is off work I dont get any computer time so I try and get it all done in the morning. Will do a couple of exercise and they try and get to the gym. Down a pound so I'm happy. Working on getting to the 159 mark.

For some reason, I woke up at 5am and just couldn't go back to bed. No need to try and go back now because the family is about to wake up. I'm determined to have another healthy day with starting with my workout once I get my daughter out the door. After that, then I'll be able to give my son my full attention.

Shannon - u make me laugh, i remember that movie well, i use to cut my old sweatshirt to look like Jennifer Beals., love that movie

just a quick hello, today i bought a new digital scale that tells the exact weight not like my old one where you have to fidget with the button and this one doesn't lie ha ha, the truth is ugly but it is there!!

watched a bit of Biggest Loser while treadmilling at gym, i was in a Abs, butts and thigh class but 35 mins into the class, instructor stopped cuz she was not feeling well but it was great while it lasted

As bad as I've been feeling, I was inspired by the Biggest Loser to get up off my arse and do something. I took my balance board into my room and stepped for 30 minutes with a total of 3,525 steps. I'm glad I did it because I haven't been feeling good for the past few days.

Deidre, thank you for the spark goodie. It was very sweet.

Picture this...An office cubicle with 3 guys and a girl. They start talking about how to get your exercise in at the office. The guys stand and stretch, the girl starts dancing like the girl in Flash Dance, you know the famous scene with the song "She's A Maniac" That girl was me today:)lol! I had to get some exercise in especially since I had a 24 hour bug yesterday and a migraine this evening.

I got the munchies about 30 minutes ago; so I warmed up a cup of water and added two chicken bouillon and had a very satisfying snack for only 10 calories. Really hit the spot.

My headache is gone, but it's too late to exercise. I did eat on the low end of calories today..I did well in that area. I would have to catch up tomorrow.
